    Hi Lula,

You poor thing, it does sound like spd. You should get your mw to refer you to a maternity physio, they will be able to give you some exercises etc to do and advise you on how best to do day to day things - like stairs etc.

In the meantime, i've found my gym ball has really helped. I just sit on it and gently move my hips in a small circle, it helps with the stiffness. Other than that I just try to relax and try to refrain from doing the housework as much! I'm now on maternity leave and don't have any other LOs so it is easy enough for me to sit and do nothing. Just take it easy.

It can help to lie with a pillow between your knees when you are in bed, or if you are struggling to lie on your side (i find this kills my hips!) you can lie on your back, as long as your head and knees are elevated with pillows and you aren't lying flat you might find that more comfortable. Also when getting in and out of bed lie on your side and keep your knees together and swing your legs out together.

Heat and baths can also help, just make sure you have someone to help you in and out of the bath!
