    Hi ladies,

I hope that some of the more experiences ladies can help or advise me.
I'm 9+6 and since about 5 weeks I've had a spotty chin, they're fairly flat now and a little dry, but they just refuse to go. I've been using St. Ives sensitive facial scrub about 3 times a week, but it doesn't seem to be shifting it at all.

I've just had to have my passport photos taken and they are horrendous - big bags under my eyes and spotty chin, so I'm stuck with that for 10 years (upset, but I won't be using it or looking at it daily, so not too bad), but what I'm worried about is I'm getting married in April (I'll be 21 weeks) and I want to look healthy in my photos. I can't afford to hire a make-up person.

So, what I'm asking, is does anyone have any experience of this, how did they fare and if they were stuck with spots and blemishes throughout thier pregnancies, what is the best make-up/way to hide it.

    Many thanks,

    Arls
    xxx

I wasn't pregnant when i got married, but I'm always spotty! A few months before my wedding I started having regular facials (with Dermalogica), it wasn't cheap obviously, but not horrendous, and it was so worth it to be spot free on my wedding day. I carried on with them for quite a while when I was pregnant (practically a honeymoon baby!) so most of the products are safe in pregnancy, and when I keep on top of it at home - cleanse tone moisturise twice a day and exfoliate twice a week - it really does make a difference. I have to admit to being lazy though, and my spots did come back with a venegence early on in this pregnancy when I was too knackered to do my 'routine' before bed (and when ds was tiny!). It might be worth even making one appointment at a salon and getting some advice.

I do sympathise though (or should that be empathise)

I used tea tree oil stick thing (basically it is like a gloss lipstick stick with tea tree on it) on mine and they dried up and went very quickly.

tea tree is really good but on the day for your make up use a good base

get a green corrector stick for any redness caused by spots and put this on under the base. Apply foundation with a foundation brush (I like MAC or Max factor lasting finish) and concealer over that and finish with translucent powder- I got hormonal spots just before my wedding but you coudnt tell- its amazing what good make up can do xxx
