I was wondering whether anyone has had experience of having spotting in more than one pregnancy.
During my last pregnancy I had brown spotting at around 7-8 weeks, I had an early scan and everything was fine.
This morning I noticed that the same was happening again and I'm exactly at the same point as I was last time!
Do you think I need a early scan/contact MW or GP or should I ignore as it happened last time round?

I would speak to your GP or mw just to be sure x

It could be a breakthru bleed at the time your AF would normally be due. Brown is old blood so try not to worry, although if you are do you have a midwive yet you could call for reassurance or the local EPU phone number?

I wound also speak to your gp/mw. I had some bleeding and they told me to go to the Epu for a scan to be on the safe side.

Yes I have been booked in by MW but last time they directed me to my GP to get referred to the EPU.
I just wasn't sure whether I'd be wasting their time by ringing as it happened last time.

No experience of second preg but i would err on the side of caution, especially in first tri. you're not wasting anyone's time x

Mrs V just seen this, I've no experience but I'd go get a scan. You'll be totally reassured when you see everything's ok.
They'll not think your wasting there time and after March I know your nervous anyway, so go and be reassured. I would, and intend to in a few weeks even without spotting.
Let us know how you get on

I'd also go for a scan but spotting is so common. I've been reading a lot and it seems that spotting when your period would have been is really common so it would fit with that.

Thanks everyone, I have spoken to my doctors surgery and they are ringing me tomorrow (that's the procedure at my surgery!). It doesn't seem to have got any worse so hopefully its nothing.
