This can common for some women but you always need to be a little concerned if it's bright red blood rather then brown as it's fresh rather than old. Definitely ring someone today to get seen & fingers crossed that's just of those pregnancy things.

Hi jessnbrian, I found out that I am pregnant at 6 weeks after a week of experiencing high fever and viral symptoms. Four days later I had a bright red discharge that resembled a blood clot when visiting the loo, followed by blood on the TP for a few days afterwards, nothing on the pad. I visited my gp fearing the worst; he referred me to the early pregnancy unit at hospital for an early scan and everything was normal. I am now 14 weeks and still spotting, still feeling sick every day and the 12 week scan identified no problems. Are you experiencing morning sickness (usually a good sign)? See your gp for peace of mind, hopefully all will be well. Good luck!
