I know I'm asking endless stupid questions about these but it's all new to me. As we can't use bleach, vanish etc on the nappies how do we get poo stains out of them? Am I missing a trick? I can't put them in direct sunlight as I don't have a garden and our balcony only catches the sun in a small section for part of the day.

Sun. Even on a cloudy day I stick em on the windowsill and when the sun is in that direction. Might take a bit longer than hanging them outside

Oh do you use fleece liners? I use these under paper liners to prevent staining

We don't even have decent windowsills. Maybe I can peg them to a hanger and hang them off the child safety window locks.

Do the fleece ones not hold stains then? I have a few fleece.

Sun is the magic cure I'm afraid. If you put them damp on your balcony, even a little bit of sun would probably do it. Or otherwise a windowsill as Missus S says.

I don't think it even has to be direct you know. I think if its outside at all, its exposed even if we think the sun is 'in'

I always put a fleece liner on the nappies for raining more than anything. If the odd occasion the liner has stained its easier to sun them than a whole nappy. And if totally ruined one day, cheaper to replace a 20p fleece liner than the nappy

Good point. Ok I'll stick them outside for now and start to use fleece liners.
