So my plan is to breast feed and possibly express but I thought I would get a complete bottle kit with steriliser in the sale as a back up. I have just unopened the pack (bought jan) and the lid does not sit properly on the steriliser at all! It's a tommee tippee closer to nature complete starter kit. Has anyone had problems with this? Im not impressed and want to take it back but not sure if I have receipt now .. Was from Argos. What should I do? I assume it won't keep stufsterilise if lid doesn't even fit!!
Also any recommendations on a budget of what I could get instead?

Mine is exactly the same, but I figured that as it has air holes in the top aswell it must be ok. Also when it starts the sterilise it sort of creates a vacuum and pulls the lid tight into place

I hardly ever use it and tend to use the medala microwave bags instead as they sterilise in 3 mins and it cools down a lot quicker so always good when I'm in a hurry
Does it steam and stuff ok still Bailey?

Ah ok, I guess I've just kind of out myself off the whole range now tbh

I haven't really got on with the tommee tippee stuff as Ben doesn't like the tests either so haven't used the bottles at all

Use cold water sterilising. Milton tablets in a Tupperware box. I did this with M.

I was contemplating this, does it taint the taste at all?
If I take it back ill need to get some bottles, any recommendations?

Don't think so. M never complained
I use medela bottles as B seems to like the teats and they fit my pump at the time. I tried cold water sterilising but the teats seemed to absorb something as they discoloured and he wouldn't use them, they were ones I got from the hospital though so may have just been the teats

Ah I knew I'd read on here someone saying they though it tainted them a bit.
Think ill phone Argos see if they take it back and go from there and investigate alternative bottles.

We have the same one and the lid just kind of balances and then when it's turned on it creates a vacuum x

I love my TT starter kit. The bottles are ace and it is on all the time in our house. The lid is slightly "off" but it makes no different IMO.
As others have said it doesn't snap shut, it just sits on - I've never had any probs with it

Oh maybe it's me then. I had a quick google and lots of reviews said about lid. Not really sure what to do I've just phoned Argos and they said to bring it back in.
