Did anyone stop before a year? Isaac literally licks the floor, sofa, cat now he's moving, and I don't know if theres a real need to sterilise bottles if I wash them in a hot wash. I've never sterilised dummies or bowls/cutlery but unsure about the bottles...

I stopped before a year. Can't remember when exactly but I made bottles as and when he needed them so they were getting used straight away

I stopped at 10.5 months because I moved house and no longer had a microwave to use my steriliser. Here it is only advised until 3 months! But I want to question that as it seems very early.

Can't remember exactly when I stopped, but it was def before 16 months as I wasn't sterilising when I was on holiday. I'm not bothering with sterilising anything apart from bottles and dummies this time as she sucks anything she can get into her mouth, so I figure it's pointless! I think it's recommended that you sterilise bottles due to possible bacteria from milk building up in the teat, but once she got past 1 I used to wash well and then pour boiling water into the teat to ensure anything was killed off.

I stopped when we switched to cows milk at 12 months purely on the basis that I wanted to make sure any bacteria from the formula was got rid of.

I stopped just shy of a year as felt it killed the milk bacteria. I never sterilised toys, spoons, etc
