what are your views on this? I think it's very very selfish of the woman, I think there could have been a very different ending to the story and whilst she opted for no medical input at all she was quite happy to rock up in an ambulance and turn to them when it all went t1ts udeath is has really irked me!

I have to agree with you CP, it seems wrong to avoiud NHS care throughout and then rely on them when needed. If the anxiety really was an issue, I think she'd have been better off trying to find a way to help with that through counselling or another route.

I do totally understand that she might have had terrible anxieties and she should have been supported through them with a very specific plan of management to help her iyswim, but its the fact that her Los didn't have steroids and yes they are fine which is great but it could all have been so different and she's still saying shed do the same again.

Agreed, it seems particularly irresonsible to her H and son as well.

Irresponsible is the word I'd use as well. Whilst understanding that her first pregnancy was a bad experience, the scans and appoinments are for looking after the baby and the mother. I'd have been very anxious if i'd had no-one check me over for 9 months!

And she's saying she had inklings it was a multiple pregnancy but chose to ignore it. Tbh I think she's been very very lucky

I think she's an idiot...

Totally irresponsible. From the story it seems she doesn't have a husband? Seems like an utterly selfish person to me. It's one thing to be scared but at least have the basic scans. I wonder how she'd feel if she lost them

I with WS on this.

Utterly stupid and very irresponsible. We are so lucky to have access to the healthcare we do, and for free at that. To put your unborn babies at risk by not using it is ridiculous and she was very very lucky.

I read this in our paper today. stupid irresponsible and she said she would do the same again?

The woman needs a slap.

Irresponsible at the very least and very selfish more selfishe to say she would do it again., also she was happy to use the NHS when desperate she could have had a much calmer experience if she had used them throughout her pregnancy and explained her fears and asked for support.

Still ranting about this but, she basically didnt have any nhs input throughout, then turns up (in an anbulance) with no notes, no blood tests ie if she haemorrhaged then there would be no record of blood group etc, she then obviously used A LOT of nhs resources and specialist equipment. She 'felt something like a bone' and thought it wasn't right and A FEW HOURS LATER phoned an ambulance! Why not just go to get checked out when things didn't seem right! Then she's obviously used all those resources (which if course she is entitled to but why not just have routine non invasive appointments throughout so that any concerns have a chance to be highlighted), and to top it all off she rather proudly says she would do it all again in the same way! WTAF!!
