There's some lovely stuff in their Summer 2013 collection but E has PLENTY of clothes already (including some stockpiled for next year ) so I can't buy any right now. Are they likely to still do the same things next year? I'm looking at the twill clamdiggers and gingham smocked tops in particular

They normally have good end of season sales. I got A some clam diggers in the Christmas sale. I think their stuff is normally similar each year

I'm sure I replied to this earlier, obviously not. They normally do the same stuff each year, occasionally introduce a new colour or pattern but it is pretty much the same year in year out.

Thanks both, think I will take my chances and wait x

Could you buy them in next year's size?

Wait for the sale. If you're quick you can get some real bargains for next year. They also have a discount/factory store in Newport where you can get discontinued ranges cheap.

Little Welsh One is the discount store in Newport well worth a visit? I'm over in Bristol so would be making a special trip but have often thought about it. Thanks

What size are you looking for?
23/03/2013 at 20:43
It would be for next summer so either 18-24 months or 2 years x

The discount store is very small and can be hit and miss. It's a cabin in the factory carpark basically.
I've been twice now, the first time I came away with loads of stuff for C's nursery and maternity clothes saving loads, the 2nd time I didn't get anything, but I was looking specifically for a changing bag. I guess it depends on what you're looking for as when I was looking for curtains and they didn't have any in the actual shop, the lady behind the counter remembered seeing some in the warehouse and went to get them for me. All that was wrong was that the packaging had the wrong size on it and I ended up with perfect curtains that should have been £40 for £15. Also got a maternity skirt for £5 because it had the wrong size on it. Not sure it's worth a trip from Bristo and paying for the bridge, but if you were going to something else in the area it could be worth a look. A friends SIL works near to it, so her daughter always has loads of their clothes and shoes as I think she pops in weekly to see what they've had in. I make the trip if I get time when visiting my parents.

Ah, just looked and the ones M has grown out of are age 2-3.

Thanks for looking Rusty xx

Rusty, surely you have learned that you shouldn't be getting rid of stuff ... unless of course you do actually know what you are having ;-)

You'd think I would, wouldn't you?
Mr R did wonder what the hell I was doing rooting around in boxes the other night! I hope I do have a girl. Some of the stuff in there is so lovely.
Mind you, M is so skinny, I bet her 2-3 stuff will fit her again this summer!

Lucy you. I bought stuff big last summer presuming it would fit this summer, but no. Zoe is now needing age 5 in some things.

The sizes vary so much, don't they? I am buying 4-5 stuff for Matilda now and it is a bit big, especially around the waist, hence why she lives in dresses!

Re the discount store, I went there on the weekend and came away with quite a few nice bits for the baby for the summer. There were a lot of smaller sizes in summer wear, including UVA suits and canvas shoes, babygros in various sizes, some of the polar fleece stuff (though didn't look at that as aiming for holiday wear) a few changing bags (got a bargainous Skip Hop bag, with a torn pocket that I've sewn up), seemed to be a fair amount of maternity etc. Not much for older toddlers though.
