Hello, thought it might be nice to pick a subject each week that relates to pregnancy/childbirth/little ones and we can share experiences that might be useful to others, or have a rant, or ask questions. Obviously it doesn't stop anyone asking for help when they need it!
I'd love if you could list subjects you think might be useful or good to talk about.

VBAC vs planned c-section.

I'm sure I just posted a really good reply to this but it's disappeared! God knows where I've written that then - oops!!
I would like to see more information regarding carriers/slings. I've read lots in the press recently about wrap slings being dangerous and babies dying but then there is other articles about how they are the best option for babies as they are less damaging on their hips. As a total novice I'm lost as to what brands/types are best and what to buy!

Some really good suggestions here ladies, some I was planning to say but you got in there! I might also add in:
age gaps - small/medium/large and the pros/cons/things to think about/helpful hints etc
carriers/slings would be a really good one - know PS has mentioned it but worth another mention. We've done an article on cloth nappies where loads of us contributed, something similar might be good?

Returning to work?

Oh that's a good one Coco, perhaps Mumdrum HQ could do a bit about going part-time/requesting flexi hours, and how your rights change depending on when you come back etc. Plus the emotional side.

Reflux, colic and milk intolerance - there are lots of ladies on here with experience that would be able to share advice.
And following on from that advice abut allergies and intolerance in weaned babies.
I like this idea, thanks for starting this thread Counter. I will have a think about some more.

Good idea counter, I agree with OB on planned c section vs VBAC. Also PND would be useful

Child care options when returning to work
Not baby related but choosing a school and starting school

Agree about childcare options.
Maybe childcare vouchers too?
Baby classes groups to go to, ones to avoid?

What Coco said; potty training and toddler tantrums would be good!
28/04/2014 at 15:58
SIDS sleeping advice and how to implement it in daily life would be a good one too.
For mums, diet and exercise post baby.

Potty training would be a good one (as someone has already posted)
Starting school & how early you should start looking into preschools or nurseries to get into schools
Different ante natal classes NHS/NCT?lazy daisy/Hypnobirthing
(sorry think you can tell what stage I'm at currently!!)

I've thought of a couple actually,
Vaginal delivery after 3rd/4th degree tear

Great thread, I personally would love to see threads on:
- Delivery options/pain etc
- Returning to work/childcare etc
- Surviving the first week or so!

Surviving the week or two is a great suggestion - I found it far harder Than I imagined and everyone telling me to "just enjoy it" didn't help!!
