We go on holiday 3 weeks before O's 1st birthday, do you think this is still too early to start on cows milk? I'm thinking it would save us a lot of hassle on taking formula, sterilising stuff for bottles etc

If she has a balanced diet then I can't see that it makes a huge difference, so I'd start her early.

Definitely switch, 3 weeks won't make much difference and will be so much easier for you

yep I'd switch but I'd switch before you go to make sure she is OK with the cows milk. Depending where you are going as well (abroad?) I may actually wait until you are back as it's different pasture for them the milk is different.
Thanks ladies,. With R we changed about a week before when the formula ran out so it's not much different really is it.

Belle, just going to Majorca, so I'd think we should be ok? She has it in cereal etc at the moment but will maybe start a few days beforehand to make sure.

I'd switch, we went on holiday a few weeks before J's birthday last year and he had cows milk

Oh defo switch then.

Definately switch. We changed both of ours at about 11 months when their tin on milk run out.

Now, I'd think that it would be easier to take formula. Even if you give cow's milk, if giving it in a bottle, you'd still need to sterilise the same as with formula. With cow's milk, you'd have to have some readily available and at night that may not be the easiest thing to come across if you've not got a fridge in the room. If you pack a tub of formula, or easier still, cartons, you have it available as and when needed. If you know you'll be able to get cow's milk easily then it's prob best to try him with some before you go because if he doesn't like it, or has a reaction to it (unlikely if he's on normal formula, but you never know) you'd want to know before you got there.
