...i am pregnant 9+6 and just got my scan letter through but am terrified that the scan will show a missed miscarriage or something wrong. Scan isnt for three weeks yet. I havent had any real bleeding (just some dark brownish discharge for 24 hours which was at 7 weeks and was extremley light with no pain. Since then had sore breasts, putting on weight, feelings of nausea (worse for last weekend and now seem to have eased off somewhat ) and a lot of white discharge and feeling quite damp below (sorry TMI) just wondered if anyone could put my mind at rest....how common are missed miscarriages and could the very light bleed indicate one ?? :\?

I would say the bleeding you had was implantation rather than a miscarriage and I would think you would probably know the difference this late on.

Good luck with your scan and enjoy it! xx

I can't tell you everything will be ok but in most cases it is and am sure you'll get to see your little bean at your scan, you are perfectly normal to have these worries - I was nearly in tears in the waiting room and was convinced I wasn't really pregnant at all!

I think it's normal to worry. Is a very big deal after all!

When we went for our 12-week-scan I was petrified there would find nothing inside me and when the sonographer first moved over my belly I couldn't see anything and I think my heart stopped till she actually slowed down and focused - and there it was!

    Best of luck to you!

I was really anxious before both my 12 and 20 week scans - both were completely fine. I think the whole nervous thing is completely normal - especially when our hormones are all to pot anyway!!

I second what spring says - remember when they first put the probe on your belly you'll see this big empty space - DON'T PANIC - it's your bladder - not your uterus - beanie will be hiding somewhere and it might take a couple of minutes wiggling round to find him/her!

I was exactly the same as you but my scan went great - now I'm 15 weeks I'm really scared and feel the same about my 20 week scan, expecially as I don't feel pregnant at all!! Good luck and like everyone is telling me - try not to worry!!x

we all get that same nervous feeling that we've imagined it and there will be nothing there. Even now at 27 weeks i get really paniced when midwife listens for heartbeat, i'm convinced something will be wrong. I think it's just natural protective instinct. Good luck with your pregnancy x

I'm 9+6 today and I feel exactly the same as you do. Practically all my symptoms have subsided, there is nothing at all to make me think I'm pregnant except when I clean my teeth I gag a bit. But now I've even managed to convince myself I've always been like that when cleaning my teeth!

I have my scan on 30th April and it can't come fast enough for me
