The dummy fairy visited last Tuesday and left some presents for O (almost 22 months) Since then (and I know it's not been that long) she's lost the ability to fall asleep on her own without someone else in the room. She doesn't take too long to go off when we're in there, approx. 30 minutes of fidgeting and then sleep but everytime we leave, she screams the place down. I'm not too keen on letting her cry so looking for help as to ways to settle her more independently.
She has lots of cuddly toys and we bought her a new Peppa Pig on Sunday when we went to Peppa Pig world in hope that she would become attached to that and comfort her, but no. Just looking for some suggestions as she's so tired from waking up and not being able to get back to sleep.
I feel so mean for taking away the one thing that kept her secure but had no choice as she keeps biting holes in them.
Any suggestions welcome!

We have to do this soon too Not looking forward to it. D has never been the best sleeper but we found the gradual retreat method worked. Fingers crossed she goes back to sleeling soon x

We tried gradual retreat a few months ago when she went through a bit of separation anxiety and it didn't work. Haven't tried a little this week but been easier to sit in there so will try that tomorrow. Hope your dummy process goes smoothly!
