What do you all think of it? Originally, we had said if this baby is a girl, we wanted a fairly traditional name and had Daisy and Alice as possible names. I have always loved the name Isla. It is so pretty and goes well with our son's name, Oliver.
My concern is it is very popular at the moment, although Oliver was number 1 the year we had him! We were also thinking of having my H's grandmother's name, Isabella for a middle name and not sure it goes with Isla?!
What do you all think? Opinions please!

I really like it, my cousin has just called their little girl Isla Mae, I think it's a really pretty name.

I'm not a fan, purely as it has become very popular recently.

I love the name, it was on my list if C was a girl but wasn't quite so popular then (he was 4 in April). I agree, I'm not sure about it going with Isabella.
I'd still have considered if for number 2 despite it's growing popularity if my ex hadn't called his baby Isla - it would feel a bit weird if I used the same name as an ex.
Daisy is my absolute favourite girls name, but MrDD said no to that right from the start.

We have an Isla Grace so obviously I love it. I think it's a pretty name. It is becoming a bit more popular now but if you like classic sounding names most of them are very popular. I work in a school of 1100 students and there are only 2 in the school. Go on, go for it!! x

That's true, MrsB. I am a teacher and have never taught one!

I like it, not classic enough for me and doesn't work with my surname.
I do think Isla Isabella is a bit much though. Would you consider using Isabella as a first name?

I would only use Isabella for a first name if I could shorten it to Bella. My H doesn't like name shortenings! Gah!
Other options for middle name would be Isla Florence. Maybe Isla Alice or Elizabeth?

I don't actually like it, regardless of the fact it's quite popular, but realise I'm in the minority! I love Isabella though.

I really like it but not sure it goes with Isabella as a middle name. I like Isla Florence, very pretty :) Don't worry about the popularity of it, that doesn't always mean that there will be loads of children with the same name at school.

I love Isla, and that's what C would have been had he been a girl. Oliver was going to be Lottie if he was a girl, we ditched Isla because in our area it's got really popular and we wanted something less so. I still think its a beautiful name though xx

I love Isla. We considered it for Zoe, and then reconsidered for Noodles however there are 2 just in Zoe's class at school and I'm afraid that makes it too popular for me.

I think it's lovely. I only know of 1 irl so I would use it

I'm not a huge fan, sorry. Isla Isabella is too much IMO but Elizabeth or Florence would work as middle mames with either x

It's nice but as you say very popular. I know 2. But if you love it don't let it put you off. Isla Isabella sounds beautiful

It's a really pretty name, and I think it sounds lovely with Isabella.
