Today we want for our scan at 13+3. We were devastated to find that there was no heartbeat and the baby had died at around 10.5 weeks. I just feel numb - need to decide what management approach to choose. At the moment I am erring on the side of surgery as I just want it over with and can't bear the though of sitting around waiting to actually miscarry. Any experiences?

I'm so sorry Alocin, you must be heartbroken. For me, an ERPC was the best option, it was over quickly and I didn't have to see anything iykwim. I have no experience of the other options though. Take care of yourself xxx

Alocin- I am so sorry to hear that. I'm two days post surgical management of miscarriage, which was definitely the right option for us. I couldn't bear to wait to miscarry naturally when it had already been 5 weeks since the baby died and nothing yet.
If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them, although I'm obviously still early ish in the process.
