Those that laboured quickly and have more than 1 child, did they become faster each time? Or is there no pattern?
A was super long, started Thursday 9am and she was dragged out by forceps at 4pm Saturday.
L was the total opposite. Waters went at 5pm and he was here for 7pm.
Am I likely to deliver quickly again? I'd love a water birth but L arrived before the pool was filled!

not that quick but i was just remembering you texting us jokes all afternoon and then next text was a ba! 30mins next time?

That's what's worrying me! Super fast would be ok if the kids are in school/nursery and S isn't with a client. Takes him 15 min to get home/RAH from the gym.

I've been told by several people that 2nd babies are normally quicker but that 3rd's are totally unpredictable! I'll let you know in a few weeks ;-)

With ethan I had 3 hours from waking up to holding him - prib about 2 hours after my waters broke. Florrie was an emergency section, but I was 5cm dilated within 20 mins of mywaters going so probably wwould have been similar.
And CK - it was memi who had 2 absurdly fast labours - 20 mins or something daft

I shouldn't have read this...my first was quick enough...I definitely wouldn't make it to hospital with quicker :-S

No 1 was about 11 hours from waters breaking to him being born. No 2 was about 4 hours - he arrived about 35 mins after we got to hospital, only made it into the birth pool for 10 mins.
I have also heard though that 3rd labours can be unpredictable.

With Big C it was 90 minutes or thereabouts from start to finish. With C it was just short of 2 hours, but I think I was more aware then of what early labour actually was! If I ever had any more I think I'd be scared to sneeze once I made it past term.

My auntie's 2nd child arrived within 12 minutes of her realising she was in labour

I hope it's not the case as #2's labour was only 24 mins! If I had #3 is not even get a cuppa tea in!!

My waters went at 2:30am but things didn't really start happening until 8/9am and then F was born just after midday. I was treated for GBS and they wanted to speed things up so had the drip (I forget what it's called). From what I've read, they'll probably do the same next time so I might be in for another quick, intense labour!
