Just thought i would see how you are all doing?
I am sure you have seen my many needy posts about P. I still think she has a milk allergy but will give the gaviscon the 10 days they suggested to rule out reflux then go back. P wakes 3-4 hourly for feeds which is great but it takes her over an hour to go back to sleep. Any tips welcome!
Apart from that she is really good. Very chilled snd happy to be passed round for cuddles and will sleep anywhere (except at night!!). G loves her baby sister too so its lovely to see them together.
Slightly apprehensive about H going back to work next week but i am sure we will find our routine at some point!!
How are you all getting on? X

Hope you get the reflux type issue sorted. It does sound like it is. Have you found the gaviscon is bunging her up?
Well we're still very early days. S basically gets desperate to feed when he's actually got wind. As soon as I put him on my boob he farts or poos! Maybe it's being on his side and sort of belly to belly with me that pushes it out? Other than that he takes bloody ages to wind. He was up most of last night. Other than that he's very chilled, happy to be passed about and just so cuddly! Might give him his first bath tonight I think.
My milk is properly in now. One nipple still really sore, other one getting there slowly. We're topping him up with formula mostly to rest my nips! But also being so big he's a hungry boy. Stitches are a bit sore but TMI piles I think are actually what's hurting more down there! Got mw tomorrow lunchtime.
Big S is lovely with his brother, very gentle and keen to help out with him but otherwise is being challenging. Not listening and forgetting his please and thank yous but he's had a few later nights this week so I suspect he's got tired. Whilst I hate constantly being on at him I don't want him to think that's acceptable behaviour.
Hope everyone else is getting on ok!

Yes the gaviscon has fixed the diarrhoea issue but only because i know thats a side effect. A friend suggested today that we swap to a different formula brand to see if the Aptimil is just too rich. Worth a go i guess!
P takes ages to wind too but infacol helps massively. Only down side is its hard for her to latch on after taking it as its all slimey.
Glad to hear your boobs arent quite so sore. We are topping up too.
I feel totally the same with G like i am constantly on at her. I think that will all settle down once we are in more of a routine.

mm, glad things are a bit easier now, my P is 2 weeks now and i think very like your P! We are mixed feeding too, having a few wind issues so have just picked up some infacol to try after a night of screaming last night. Would love to ditch the bottles as I think they are what's giving her the pain but she refuses to breastfeed at night and were having some latch issues during the day too and lots of fussing but I'm going to stick with it!!
WH, I have slightly sore nipples too but think lanisoh (sp?) cream has worked well for me but am just going through the pain at the mo! My older two have been through the not leaving her alone phase then sometimes don't seem very interested and also have had some naughty moments too!
How are you both feeling now, I'm tired and still getting very emotional, my section wound is infected so im on antibiotics but they have kicked in quickly and im starting to feel a bit more normal now after an awful couple of weeks!

How about expressing so P can have breastmilk from a bottle. I have just expressed for the first time in the hope the top up bottle can be EBM rather than formula. Is there a bf group you can go to for some help and support? Considering bfing is meant to be so natural its bloody hard work!!
Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. I was feeling good and i didnt have a c section infection in the end so thats all good but now i have an awful cold and cough which i am dreading P getting at only 3 weeks. It would be awful. Thats another reason for expressing as they say bf babies have better immunity so the more she gets from me the better. H is back at work tomorrow so going solo - eeek!! X

I'm already expressing so she gets that first then formula after if she needs it, I could probably up the expressing really but feel like there's less hours in the day since she was born! Have you ever been to a BF class? I'm not very confident with whipping them out in public and wasn't sure what the classes were like but I may have to just get over it!!
hope your cold isn't too bad and your first day without your H goes well! x

No but i am planning to go to a bf class as i also need to get over bfing in public! Dont mind doing it at a class like that but cant bring myself to do it in pubs etc so hoping it will build my confidence up a bit.
Thank you!! X
