I was wake early this morning so I thought I would log on before work!
Quick catch up from last night:
Mrs P- what a pain they sent you to th wrong 'scanographer' person! Its great that you saw your baby moving around and that you get to again on Friday, hopefully with a photo to take home too!
Jem- Good luck with your booking in today, no need to be nervous! It was my booking in appointment that suddenly made it all feel very real! Great news about the physio too!
Thank you everyone for the job congratulations!!! I just have to track down my manager today to see if he can find something for me to do for 6 weeks and the money to pay me! It would be geat to have over a month off between jobs but not if it means loosing my maternity pay, its a pretty good package here! grrr! nothing is ever simple is it!
Imp- Have a wonderful time seeing your little bubba again today!!! Im sure everything is just perfect as it was a few days ago but sending lots of vibes for an enjoyable experience!!

Morning Mrs B, I didn't get back on last night but massive congrats about the job!!! You must have been so pleased!
Mrs P sorry about yesterday, your scan must have gone better than mine on sat as we couldn't even get close enough to see the baby move. Is this your dating scan? I'm sure fri will be better and nice your getting to see bubs again!
HF congrats lovey and great photo. You'll be pleased you can share the news finally!
Imp!! Everything will be fine today, hope its a great scan and then you can push the button on ordering those mat clothes!
AFM I was so tired y'day, there are no words to explain. I fell asleep for an hour when I got home, went to be maybe 10ish and (apart from my regular night trip to the loo) slept until 20 to 7 this morning. I'm working from home today so got a long lie and don't need to do the commute! Horray!
I had a headache most of the day y'day that I just couldn't shift which I think didn't help but I certainly needed the sleep!x

Thanks for the wishes everyone, I'll be back later to update you all.
Mrs B I hope you manage to sort it out so you don't lose the mat pay. It sounds as though you might be able to?
Mdd enjoy wfh today, sometimes it's such a treat to not have to commute isn't it? I hope the headache stays away today!

MrsBass - hope your boss can find you something to do - is there any chance of taking leave to fill the void or unpaid gardening leave that would fill the void but means continuous service?
MDD - i remember that rediculous tiredness thing with baby#1 in the first tri but i haven't had it this time around so much. It does improve once you hit 2nd tri, i promise!
AFM - Okay scan. The sonographer was nice enough but it felt a bit rushed. She also dated me at 12+4 yesterday but there is no way that is possible. It means I would have OV'd only 16days after the miscarriage started. And i never OV'd until at least cd20 in my cycle, so i very much doubt I would OV'd earlier than usual following a M/C and the hormones having to clear out of my body etc etc.
I was really annoyed at this date change because i went 15days overdue with baby#1, and i had a MASSIVE argument with a consultant because i refused to be induced. He could find no medical grounds to pump me full of drugs/artificial hormones just simply that i didn't conform to a 40week pregnancy 'rules' and he told me i was going to kill my baby if i "did nothing". Have you seen a 42week pregnancy crying outside a maternit unit? Not pretty!
I learnt that time around the medical profession are very focused on due dates. Which is wrong IMO
So i dont want to have a due date 4 days earlier than im actually due iyswim because then if go overdue they will start pressuring me for induction all the earlier iyswim. I tried to argue this with the midwife that took my blood. She didn't seem to understand. I gave up.
Anyway, my Mum stayed overnight, so we are taking LO to soft play this morning. Hope everyone is well

Morning Imp - missed you there whilst typing my lengthy strop. LOL. Good luck for today :-)
13/06/2013 at 09:00
Hope you get it sorted HF. I'd not even considered what impact a due date has.
13/06/2013 at 09:24
Mrs Bass - congrats on the job, hopefully your manager can help you out.
missdeedee - sounds like you needed the sleep, hope you feel less tired today
Imp - thinking of you, enjoy your scan :-) x
HF - you had me worried when you didn't show up yesterday afternoon! Its a real shame that you had such a negative experience with your first LO and that it looks like they may end up putting you in the same position again. I hope that at your next scan they adjust your dates again so that you don't have to have the same arguments.
AFM - struggling to find clothes that fit again. Not looking forward to wearing a bikini next week as at this rate I'm just going to look podgy, not pregnant. Oh well.
13/06/2013 at 09:36
I bet you won't look podgy penny, and at least you'll be somewhere warn enough to wear a bikini! Where are you going? I can't remember!
13/06/2013 at 09:45
MDD- enjoy WFH! i was suppose to meet a friend last night but she said she wouldnt finishe work until 7 so couldnt meet until 8:30! Im notmally dozing on the soffa by 8 so had to rain check!
Imp- I'll be cjecking regularly for your update!!
HF-Ive actually just had an email from my new manager to say that someone in her team is leaving the 1st week of July and I could cover that role for 7 weeks!! Its a few grades lower but for one month, keeping my continued service and getting into the department sooner, I really dont mind!!! yaya, hopefully everything is sorted! :-)
I can totally understand why you want to make sure your dates are right. Can they be altered from what the scanographer (loving Mrs P's new word!) says? Hopefully your midwife will be more helpful!
Penny- you'll be in the sun with a baby bump, you wont care! :-)
Imp she is off to Cyprus, I had to ask again yesterday too! We are all obviously so jealous we dont want to remember! :-)
I forgot to say earlier, I was watching telly last night & h was on the laptop, I didnt think he was paying any attention but the Moonpig Fathers Day advert came on & he piped up with "Do I get anyting for Fathers Day?"
I asked him if he is technically a father yet which he pondered for a while until he got distracted!
Ive got him a pair of socks and a card that says 'Daddy, Daddy cool' on! I thought he was going to think they were totaly nafff but maybe now he will appreciate them!
Anyone else doing anything for the Dad to be?
13/06/2013 at 10:31
All ok with scan ladies, she put me back a day to 11+5 do due the 28/12. Baby was lying in a funny position too so she was unable to do the nuchal measurements and we didnt get a picture as the one from Saturday was better! Little monkey, obviously takes after it's father being contrary!
13/06/2013 at 10:39
That is great news Imp!! Will you have to go back for your nuchal measurments?
13/06/2013 at 10:52
No, they won't rescan in manchester. They just do the blood test or we have to pay and go private. Tbh, we are only getting the tests so we know what we're facing, we wouldn't act upon them so the blood test is fine. I spoke to the mw about it and she said up to a few years ago that's all they used to do anyway.
13/06/2013 at 12:13
Great news imp, it really surprises me how much things differ between places, here I know they will rescan if they can't get the measurements as my friend had to go back! As you say, they only ever used to do the bloods anyway so I'm sure it's as accurate anyway.
Hope your feeling mega happy about things now and off to buy your mat stuff!
13/06/2013 at 12:15
That's ok then!
Careful with the mat shopping, Ive just spent about £100 between ASOS & New Look on 'basic essentials'! Ooop!
