Sorry I've been awol this week. Work has been crazy and somehow I found myself volunteering to learn French whilst on maternity leave! Should be fun. Nothing much to report babywise.
I must be going mental, just notice I named the thread third Tri arghh!
Hope you are all well.

Learning French sounds fun! Is calling the thread third tri wishful thinking?
Same old same old here, after having a bit of a cry to H on Tuesday night about how hard work M is at the moment he announced last night that him and his dad are going to the footy on Saturday! Oh and can I just look after stepson too if he doesn't fancy going. I give up! Work today, yoga tonight, then tomorrow is Friday yay!
Hope everyone is well x

Yes I just replied to it as third tri then realised it was 2nd confused my little brain x

Ha sorry Mrs B, think I need to go back to sleep. It was only afterwards I thought... I'm not even in third Tri haha.
Ah sorry about you H being insensitive Weekender. How old is M? Hope yoga relaxes you :)

So glad tomorrow is Friday!!
Weekender, sorry your little one is being somewhat of a handful! Perhaps if your H is out on Saturday he could return the favour on Sunday and look after M, even if you just pop to the shops or meet a friend for coffee for an hour or two? I must say I think working while pregnant is the easy option, I can't imagine doing it with a toddler!
LD learning French sounds fun! I can't wait to make plans for maternity leave!
AFM, tried on my Asos order last night. Most is going back, but I kept a dress which I can wear on Saturday night which was ultimately what I needed so that's worked out well. It'll probably do me for a couple of Christmas parties/nights out too as I can grow into it. Pregnancy wise I'm feeling ok, just still really tired and struggling to get up in the morning even more now it's still dark. My boobs seem to have grown a bit so think I need to invest in some new bras, I hate underwear shopping though!
Plus on a work related note my company are driving me up the wall (nothing to do with the pregnancy, they're just so backwards!). I have a meeting with HR on Friday about maternity stuff so going to have to try and keep on topic and not rant too much! I just keep reminding myself that it's very very unlikely I'll go back there after the baby so just trying to let it all go over my head and remember that it's just a couple more months to get through.

LD - that made me chuckle! Poor tri girls getting all confused - easily done when pregnant! I'm amazed you have plans for mat leave beyond "get dressed, feed child". Lol!
WE - that's boll*cks and I hope you told your H as much. Defo make some plans for yourself without M - you need to take care of yourself.
Flossy - I must check out asos! In fact I'm jealous I didn't think about it for this wedding tomorrow instead of squeezing into something! Hope that all goes well with the HR meeting - rant away!!
AFM its my birthday! Last one to myself! I'm currently in bed having had my breakkie and opened my pressies here! H among other things got me a white company dressing gown and its lush!!! Going shopping later, will get my nails done and have a DVD afternoon till H comes home and takes me out for dinner. Baby wise I haven't felt anything in a couple of days. That's okay at 19 weeks with an anterior placenta isn't it? Trying not to unnecessarily worry given the movement has been over the last couple of weeks only so fairly new!

sorry i have not been around! felt really rough this week with terrible sickness and acid! i think this baby thinks its supposed to come out my mouth? work is still driving me mental so i am trying to work from home one day a week to try and break up my time here in the office,
still no proper movements from baby, just want to feel a kick or a move :(
hope your all ok x

LD you made me chuckle both about the thread name and learning french! (The latter more because I now have visions of your baby being bi-lingual from you practising on him/her!)
Weekender good idea from Flossy about you having some time to yourself on Sunday, sounds like you could do with it and is only fair if your H is out all Saturday. Hope you're okay, I can't imagine looking after a toddler on same of the days I've had being pregnant, it can't be easy.
Flossy enjoy the party and your new dress! As for work sounds like a good idea to keep repeating to yourself that it's not forever!
SP happy birthday!!! What a fabulous day you have planned, sounds lovely so enjoy! Please don't worry about the movement, it all sounds very normal. I've got a posterior placenta and I still get some days where I'm not sure that I've felt him kick, so it's all very normal!
NLH hope you're okay lovely, sorry to hear you're still not well :( Good idea about WFH though, at least it means you can mooch in your PJs a bit and not have to rush to get ready in the morning. I'm sure you'll feel movement soon - is your placenta anterior?
AFM still on leave and not much planned today. We have a man coming round about blinds in the lounge and I might go to a garden centre... exciting stuff! Still getting dizzy spells so trying to take it easy. I've also noticed the last week that my feet are starting to get very puffy and uncomfortable - seems a bit early to be getting swollen feet especially as I am not on them all day long like some people but hey ho... bought a nice foot cream from Lush yesterday and told the H he needs to rub my feet with it every night to help ..... going to see how long it lasts for ;-)

they said my Placenta is low? so not sure what that means
10/10/2013 at 13:00
LD wow french good on you! Little one should be a good help with that.
Weekender that's rubbish! Can you say that you're having sunday to yourself and H needs to take both kids for the day and do all housework/food/washing related tasks to give you a break?
Flossy good news about the dress! Sorry work are being rubbish - are you staying home with the baby after mat leave? I'm jealous but don't think there's any way I can get out of going back after about 10 months off boo.
SP Happy birthday! I turned 30 last week and it was strange not celebrating with wine but everyone made a big fuss so hope you get spolit rotten.
NLH sorry you're feeling rubbish you've really been through the mill with this. Have you emntioned movements to the midwife? I saw mine this week and she said she wouldn't expect anything regular till about 22 weeks.
Rose enjoy the rest of your leave! Hope you feel better soon and definitely good plan to have H rub your feet!
AFM had the midwife yesterday for 16 week check and everything is looking good, she found the heartbeat which I was really relieved about. Having a lie in also really helped the nausea and general crap feeling as I almost felt human. Back to normal today though hey ho. We spoke about the flu jab too which I'm not looking forward to as my mum, dad and nan all reacted really badly to it but I know it's better to get it for the baby.

Grif - I'm not entirely sure what we'll do. At the moment both me and H work in London and live in Essex, with the commute and our hours it's not something I want to continue when the baby is here, at least for the first couple of years. Our family can't really help for various reasons so it'd be full time nursery. Plus the nature of my work means I often have evening events etc and late nights depending on workload that can be unpredictable so I just don't see how we'd juggle it and I don't earn enough after travel and nursery costs to make it worth the hassle. I think I'll probably take the full year off which financially we can (hopefully) just about manage and look to get something much closer to home ideally part- time if possible.
Happy birthday SP! Sounds like you have a lovely day planned,
Rose, hope you're enjoying your holiday. I have some to use up but am going to ask HR if I can carry it over to next year and add it onto the start of my maternity leave. If they say no at least I can have a week off sometime soon, would be nice just relax without any real plans!
Grif - glad your appointment went well. I have my 16 week appointment at 17 weeks so still have two weeks to wait. Really hope I get to hear the heartbeat, I've heard not everywhere does it at the 16-week check. Are you having the flu jab?
NLH - so jealous you can work from home! I can't in my current job, and I really miss it!

Just popping on to say a quick hello, snowed under at work :(
SP - Happy Birthday!!
Will try and get back on later for more personals!
P.S. I'm halfway today, eeekkk!

well, i don't actually have a midwife! i only have a consultant, which freaks me out a bit! i have to see him again in three weeks so will ask then! but i am desperate to feel movement! proper movement anyway! i think i am feeling flutters but to be honest i am not sure! people keep saying its like bubbles popping but thats not what i can feel! not sure if i can't feel anything becuase of the placenta and where it is sitting!
trust me i dont get to work from home often, i am trying to get them to agree to to once a week!
