I'm not grumpy yet this morning!! Result lol. Both children stayed in their own beds, I went to bed at 9 and J just woken up so I got a decent sleep. No plans today. Day in the house again but hopefully it will be dry so they can get out in the garden
Hope everyone is well

Morning Ally. Amazing what a good night's sleep can do, hope they can get out in the garden.
AFM - first daisy birthing class last night, it was really good, a bit weird at first what with it being a good friend running it for for just me and our other friend but we soon got into, went through some exercises to help put baby in the right position (Alex was back to back and brow presentation hence my c-section, so it's something I'm concerned about this time).
Busy day today, of to see my bestie this morning for some belated birthday cake, popping into Kiddicare to get a present for my NCT friend's new baby then this afternoon off to visit that baby.

Ally, glad you got a goof night's sleep, it makes such a difference.
BG, sounds like a lovely day ahead. Hope the class has helped with your concerns.
AFM, had a lovely day yesterday, met some gorgeous MD babies and had a lovely catch up with their mums. Today I need to pop to town then I'm meeting Stripey and E later this morning which I'm really looking forward to - I foresee much cloth nappy chat! Tomorrow Jacob is having a visit to school nursery so I'm going to spend the morning sorting out and sewing costumes for the school play which will be nice.
3 weeks today till I finally get my section date - hoping that the last two weeks or so of pregnancy will fly by after that!

Ally - a good sleep can make all the difference! I slept pretty well last night and son woke just before7am.
BG - have fun visiting your friend. One of mine recently had a baby and it was good, but weird being with a newborn again. It all comes flooding back!
Me - son at nursery 3 hours this morning so hopefully get house clean and tidy ( as opposed to yesterday when he went and I slept). Meeting some friends this afternoon, probably at soft play as its rainy. It's a small soft play place which means I don't have to go climbing up anything and can leave my son to play by himself. They have big wedges of cake too...

M - Nice you met some MD'ers IRL. im not sure i have any round by me?
exciting about you getting a date soon. I'm seeing consultant next week but have no idea what they will say.
04/07/2013 at 07:57
BG - enjoy your day. Wish we had a kiddicare up here, although I'd probably spend a fortune so maybe good we don't lol
Margot - glad you had a nice day meeting all the babies yesterday. Have fun with stripey today
IDC - enjoy soft play, I can't handle it anymore lol. One of mine would inevitably get stuck and I'd have to somehow get them down!!

Ally - weathers looking dry here, hope its the same for you and you can get out in the garden.
BG - enjoy cake and baby cuddles
Margot - sounds like a busy day, have a good one
IDC - enjoy soft play, hopefully some sunshine is on its way to you too!
AFM - had a busy day yesterday cleaning windows and the oven. Picked up a tens machine that I've bought second hand for £10. Had my 38wk apt but it was with my gp, he didn't really tell me much, bit disappointing!
Today I am doing yet more house sorting and got my friend coming for dinner tonight. Want to get all the boring house stuff sorted so I can enjoy the sunshine that's on it's way tomorrow!
Having a nightmare with the nursery. I've ordered 3 lots of cot bedding now! The 1st lot was actually crib bedding, 2nd lot not very nice when it arrived and 3rd lot which I loved and had my eye on for ages was for a cot bed so was too big. Cost me £12 to send it back to kiddicare yesterday! Now I've decided against a proper got bedding set and I'm just going to make it look pretty with nice sheets (as using sleeping bags anyway) and accessories.
Have a good day all

Ally glad you got a decent sleep!
BG glad you enjoyed your birthing class
Margot sounds a lovely meet up, enjoy your nappy talk with stripey
IDC soft play and cake sounds a great combination!
Twinkletoes not long to go now!
AFM had first antenatal yesterday, the relaxation for labour was good but the birthing talk for two hours was pretty rubbish, H nor I learnt a thing. Next week is pain relief so shall if that's any better. Got bf workshop starting tomorrow but today two of my work friends are coming over on the train and were going to a national trust place near where I live for afternoon tea so that will be nice.

Ally - hope it stays dry so you can get outside.
BG - hope the class helped. Enjoy your baby cuddles.
Margot - sounds like you have a nice day planned
IDC - enjoy your cake
TT- annoying about the bedding. Hope you find something you like soon x
afm - I feel so sick again today. Think baby has moved position and is squashing things. Can barely do anything today. Struggling to clean the house. H is back tomorrow so looking forward to that. Trying to get bits for hospital bag sorted too. Think I have most things, just need to pack it.
Hi to all that follow x

Missed you there Duckford. I found with my antenatal I didn't learn much either. I had read so much and being on here had answered my questions. Hope the bf one is better and enjoy your afternoon tea x

Ally – hope the grumpiness is staying away.
Bridget – glad your class was good last night. Enjoy your day (and the cake!)
Margot – another exciting day for you today. Have fun!
IDC – sleep sounds much better a way to spend your time than tidying. But needs must, eh?! Have fun at soft play.
Twinkletoes – that’s a great bargain you’ve got for your TENS machine. The cot bedding sounds rather annoying, I think nice sheets will be fab, especially if you’re using sleeping bags anyway.
Duckford – I hope your next session is more useful, that’s a shame the birthing talk was rubbish, as that’s kind of an important part. Mmmm… I’m jealous of the thought of afternoon tea.
Daisy – well done on getting the hospital bag bits sorted. If you’re struggling, I reckon you need to rest up and leave the cleaning for when your H returns.
AFM – went through birth plan properly with H last night, think that’s done! H felt like they would look at him as being a bad dad because we’ve added a note saying he doesn’t want to cut the cord. But knowing him if they ask he’d feel pressured into doing it.. I’ve told him not to be daft. But I think he’s just at that stage now when it’s all becoming that bit more real and our baby will be here soon.
We’re off on a date night tonight, dinner at Prezzo – can’t wait, I’ve already been thinking ahead to what food I’m going to have!

Margot-those 3 weeks will fly by, have another fab afternoon
IDC-hmmmm cake! Makes me want some now, have fun at softplay
TT-what a pain with the bedding, im sure it will look just as nice with coloured sheets and sleeping bags etc
Duckford-afternoon tea sounds lovely, shame about the antenatal classes hopefully the next one is better
Daisy-hope you start to feel better soon, everyone is so organised with their hospital bag I havent even thought about it yet
AFM- 32+1 im having a lovely week off and don't want to go back to work. Im a bit worried that our antenatal classes don't start until august when im nearly 37 weeks!
04/07/2013 at 10:58
Sorry sapphire missed you there, I dont think anyone will judge him, my H hasnt decided yet but I don't thi k he will either
04/07/2013 at 11:12
My H didn't want to cut the cord either first time round and they didn't pressure him. they just got on and did it. He's quite squeamish.
I'm only organised with my bag as everyone is convinced this baby will be early x

Well it's dry and sunny thank god! I stupidly let them play with moon dough earlier which resulted in 6 tubs squashed in my carpet :-( luckily A is now out playing with her friend. I decided to rearrange the kitchen work tops to make space for the steriliser so got that all sorted and then went into nesting mode and cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and drawers - having a rest now before I start on lunch!
04/07/2013 at 11:43
Wow busy thread today just popped on to say hello...im still alive just so busy :-( but at least time is going quick :-D x

Hi all, everyone sounds so excited and positive that I feel a bit out of place. I am still grumpy as hell. I want this pregnancy over ... but then I am terrified how I am going to manage afterwards and that is starting to freak me out. H appears to think that he will be able to back to London a week after the baby is born (is away mon - fri) so it will be summer holidays with a 4 yr old and a newborn baby and not able to drive. Zoe is booked into Kids Club but I won't be able to get her there. I tried pointing out to him that when we had Zoe he went away on a ski trip when she was 8 weeks old and I went to stay at my mum's because I wouldn't be able to manage on my own, how the hell does he think I'll do it after a week with 2 of them.
Anyway, rant over. Nursery pretty much finished (although I have now decided I want to put some bunting up. I might actually get around to taking some photos today and posting them, although the curtains really do need ironing but that will just have to wait - if I wait long enough the creases will drop it !
Did loads of batch cooking at the weekend, and have a couple more things to do today and then I at least have meals sorted for Zoe and I for about a month.
Have a few parcels to return so shoudl really do a trip to the post office today but can't face it.

Hello All - Hope everyone has had a nice sunny day - it's roasting here now, even at 6pm!
I had a cr@ppy, cr@ppy day. Fell over running back to my car after dropping K off at school. Twisted my ankle which is now really swollen and grazed my knee and not one single person even asked if I was ok. Bubs was quiet for a bit after that but soon woke up when I had a cup of tea. Had a poop day at work and just wanted to sit at my desk an cry (which is what I did all the way to work)! So looking forward to a sunny weekend by the beach with the girls and being spoilt by my IL's.
Got lots to do to get us ready for a weekend at the seaside but just need to chillax with a cuppa for minute. Hopefully will be feeling a bit more positive tomorrow.
