sorry I didn't get on yesterday, my brother & his family stayed over so had a busy day
MrsL: How's the car doing? Really hope that your last trip to London went well & you've managed to finalise a birth plan that everyone is happy with
Rio: Hope you managed to get lunch yesterday & were able to rest between meetings, sounds a bit full on. Hope today is quiter
Saff: Nice to hear you've got all the big things sorted, How's teaching going? Try not to overdo it. Not long till half term x
RF: Sounds like you're getting prepared. How're you feeling today after the pain yesterday?
AFM: I'm Full term today, 37 weeks!! Which means I can now have my home birth! Today my aim is to turn Isobelle's old room (which is still decorated as a nursery) into a birth room so the cot bed is going into the roof & the pool is going in. Eeeek! All getting a bit real although it doesn't feel it yet. At least I know I've only got 6 weeks max to wait. All along I've been giving myself a 6 week due period rather than a single date so I know I won't get upset if he hasn't arrived in 3 weeks!
Happy Thursday all x

Bk happy full term day! Hope you get set up with the pool, how exciting!
My waters went at 3:15am this morning so currently at home waiting for things to kick off, no pains or aches yet! If nothing happens I'm to go back to the hospital at 8pm to be induced. Just started bouncing on my ball!
Hope everyone else is well.

Hosp went well yeterday, turns out i have a compeltly different disorder than originally thought - this showed up on a genetics test! 8 years after being diagonsed! anyway it doesnt make a difference to the pain relief options im allowed but I HAVE A BIRTH PLAN! i feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders! Midwife tomorrow. Cant believe next Friday Ill be full term!!!!

Wahoo MrsL, sounds like a good day for you (presuming diagnosis was ok that is). Just had HV antenatal visit, and was really positive.

Rio - diagnosis is ok i think to be honest they are just focussing on the baby for now but its not life threatening and ive lived with it for 28 years! Birth plan wise Im basically not allowed an epidural, spinal, sunction cap or clip on babys head as the risk of bleeding could be dangerous for both of us - we dont know if baby has inherited condition yet. Feeling much calmer and happier though now a plan is in place, is i go into labour now - someone will know what to do!

Bunny: So excited for you, hope the bouncing is going well. At my lazy daisy classes 1 of the most useful things I've learnt is a little mantra 'rotate to dilate', basically you can help each contraction by rotating your body (hula hoop movements iyswim - don't use an actual hula hoop!!). It's like when you have 2 glasses stuck together you twist them to help or getting into a tight pair of jeans. Hope this helps (or hope you're already into contractions). Hope all goes smoothly & you're enjoying new born cuddles very soon x
Rio: Glad today was less hectic than yesterday. Are you meeting the hv or mw? I'd heard someone recently say they'd met with the hv before their baby was born but it seems a strange thing to do. How was it?
MrsL: people keep saying how quickly 37 weeks has come round but I feel like I've been pregnant for years!!! So glad to hear you've got a plan for your birth. Hope your mum is now happy with the decision!!! Take care
AFM: I actually had quite a productive day for a change, managed to get a load of washing done, dishwasher, have a nearly 3 hour leisurely lunch with 2 mums to be, take down Isobelle's old cot bed from the nursery ready to hover tonight (keep pestering hubby to take dyson upstairs as it's too heavy for me right now) then I (maybe we) can pump the pool up ready, then tidied up our bedroom ready to hover then put the crib up. It's all getting quite real!!

Bk mum is very happy now and even wanting to transfer to the same hosp as she has the disorder too! That's a relief! Glad you had a productive day!
Bunny how are things? If you're being induced hope all is ok xx
