I had a scan yesterday and we saw two little peanut blobs attached to their yolk sacs, each peanut had a little thumping heartbeat. I think they look a bit like engagment rings (if your squint!).
I think the tiredness is starting to creep up on me, combined with the relief of seeing he heartbeats, I was ready for bed by 9pm!
Hello to all that follow from me and the twins :)

They do look like engagement rings, ones with a massive diamond! Yayyyyyy for the sprouts.

Ducky - lovely scan pic. Hello tiny twins! Are you feeling ok today?
SC1985 - EEEEK two sets of twins! How exciting. Nice you have a twin buddy as well.
Sue - sorry you feel poop. Queasiness is horrible cos there's nothing you can really do about it. Well done on managing the tea though! I haven't been able to face hot drinks at all.
Another one that's thinking of you barefoot.
AFM - starting to feel almost normal now which I think happens late in 1st tri? I hope so anyway. It's been 3 weeks since my early scan so I'm getting impatient for the next one as I really want to know that everything is ok. I have my booking in on Tuesday which was supposed to be the same day as my scan but apparently not so I'm hoping they sort it soon. The doubts are creeping in slightly. Hope everyone is ok.
Hi to those that follow - will try and get on later too as I have been terrible about getting on here everyday!

Ducky - what a fab pic! So pleased all is going well.
SC - Huge congrats on your twin news too! Do we have a 3rd set in our midst maybe?! ;-)
Sue - hope you feel better after your cuppa!
Barefoot - hope they're able to see you today.
Afm - back still a but achy from my fall on Monday but otherwise all ok. No scan date to speak of still...will give them a call next week if still not received. Work today....boo! Xx

Oh lovely to see a busy thread at this time! :)
Ducky I love your scan! I agree with engagement ring look about them! I am still so so chuffed for you. How is your OH getting your head around it all?
SC - wow another set! Fabulous :) The tiredness & sickness is difficult to live with but you just need to keep reminding yourself it will be so so worth it all.
Sue - hope the tea is helping! One thing I found out was quite settling is nibbling almonds slowly! Might be worth a try? Agree with the less movement the better - also the slower movement the better - I can no longer dash around like a greyhound!
Coco- glad an achy back is all you have after your fall - hope you are still taking it easy x
Jonesy - how wonderful it must be to feel normal again! They say it eases off at around 12 weeks so I am sure you are completely normal. Hope you get the apps sorted really soon.
I feel slightly less queasy today - hurrah! Hope I havnt scudded myself by saying that! Was in bed for 8pm, asleep by 830pm. Got a later train - woke up for toilet in middle of night so just decided to set alarm back half an hour while I was up haha! It seems to be made a positive difference - either that or the 2 pancakes & jam I have just demolished :) Hi to all who follow!

Morning everyone - lovely to see it so busy this early :)
Ducky - I'm so pleased for you, so glad you got to see their hearts beating. Its amazing isn't it!
SC - congrats on your pregnancy and on having twins!
Sue - same here! Have to be in the mood for tea but as I have a cold at the moment I need warm drinks to sooth my throat. Dont have any honey and/or lemon at work though :(
Jonesy - its normal to be feeling more normal lol so try not to worry. Hope your scan is very soon x
Coco - hope your scan date comes through soon!
SaSaSi - Lucky you not feeling as bad today!
AFM: I still feel rubbish but I think its mainly due to this cold. I went to bed straight away after getting in from work last night, H made me a jacket potato bless him then I went to sleep! Had to pull over twice this morning to be sick on my way to work and was almost sick whilst driving down the motorway! Not good.

Hi all, thanks for the good wishes. Cramps got worse last night, with stabbing pains. No blood yet but this is the same as my last mc so I am not hopeful. Mw called this morning, earliest she can get me into EPAU is Tuesday!! I am beside myself with worry, so OH has stayed home today and got me into the private clinic at 3.15 today. Until then I am staying in bed, terrified to go to the loo in case I'm bleeding :-(. I just do not understand how less than a week ago things were fine, heartbeat and everything. Even Tuesday was fine, I felt pregnant but positive and no cramps. Anyway I will update later. Not sure if the clinic can then refer me back to the NHS for D&C or whether I have to hold out until Tuesday (by which time it will be all over and no evidence left for testing or investigations. Just can't believe this is happening again :-(

Oh barefoot how scary. Could it be your fibroid or polyp causing the pain as baby is stretching the tissue around it?
Cramping can be normal and no bleeding is a really positive sign x
16/01/2014 at 10:41
I hope it's just something like that but I don't think so. It feels wrong, like last time. Feels like my body is cramping to try to expel something. I know cramps are normal from weeks 4-7ish, but not this late. It's been 24hrs now as well, not just intermittent cramps. Even waiting until this afternoon now feels like an eternity.
16/01/2014 at 10:50
Oh love I know that feeling. When I was bleeding at 5 weeks I really thought it was over and no one, even private places would scan me. The waiting was torture, it doesn't matter how long or short you have to wait it is horrible.
I really hope everything is ok this afternoon. Try and keep calm, I know you can't relax but try not to get too worked up, it could all be absolutely fine xxx

Thinking of you barefoot - FX things are ok and it is all in your mind. Be strong x
