Morning ladies, how are we all?
I am pleased to report F got on well at nursery despite being a bit upset when I left him. Today is a day of rest for us, no plans at all! I've been getting a bit of a niggling ache/pain around my right hip, I'm hoping I just over did the hoovering or something yesterday but I guess I better keep an eye on it. Anyone else had this?
Raincloud - hope your back eases soon.

raincloud - hope your back gets better soon
WG - good news that F got on well, C was always upset when I dropped him off but had cheered up within minutes of me leaving! Enjoy your rest!
As I expected, I felt rubbish towards the end of the day yesterday - I'm sure it will be the same today. I was looking back on the PP at my old posts from last time, and it seems I was still struggling with feeling sick at 17/18 weeks Struggled to get sleep last night so still very tired. At least it's my day off today, got hairdressers this morning, so can have a lazy afternoon other than picking C up from school. Got his parents evening tonight, looking forward to seeing how he's been getting on this term!

RC - hope your back eases up - are you allowed to use those heat pads in pregnancy? If so they might help? Or some very gentle stretching?
W G - great that F got on well! Enjoy lazy day. I get pains / niggles quite regularly but I'm putting it down to everything stretching & growing
Deedee- enjoy getting your hair done - try & fit in a nap along the way?
Afm - bad nights sleep - when I wake up to pee it takes me 2 hours to get back over so I'm on the later train today - only half an her but every little helps! I feel rubbish bleugh.
Hi to all who follow - Saisi I don't think I've seen you for a few days? Hope all is well x

Morning lovely ladies
RC - hope your back eases up - I agree with RC, get a heat pad on it if possible.
WG - I get niggles all the time, it's probably just stretching, but take it easy with the hoovering missy!
DeeDee - sorry to hear the sickness is back, I hope it doesn't last until 17/18 weeks this time too!
Sasasi - that's annoying that it takes so long to get to sleep. It's horrid, this train lark when upduffed isn't it. I had to do practically my whole journey standing today.
AFM - After another good night's sleep, I am still utterly exhausted. The bathroom is delayed slightly which is annoying but it should be all done by Monday. Thankfully PIL are away so we're using their house at the moment. The weekend can't come soon enough, I am really struggling with tiredness this week. Woe is me.
Hello to all that follow x

Raincloud - sorry you're having trouble with your back; hope it eases soon. I have a trapped nerve in my left side and have been told it'll probably get worse (which it already has) boo!
WG - no not had that but could be just overdoing it - so don't! Lol. Glad F got on well at nursery.
DD - have a lovely day off.
SaSaSi - sorry you had a rubbish night. Hope today goes quickly for you
Gavi - hope you arent delayed too much! I know - cant wait for the weekend!
AFM: Felt rubbish yesterday afternoon and the sickness didnt stop so I went home at lunch. Felt bad but I just needed my bed and wasn't doing anything productive. Had an hour or two feeling ok in the evening then I had terrible heartburn :(
This morning has started out pretty much the same as yesterday sickness-wise - at least its nearly the weekend. Got my redundancy meeting tomorrow, weekend seeing/telling friends and then scan on Tuesday.

Deedee - enjoy being pampered this afternoon. Hope C's parents evening goes well.
SaSaSi -,hope your journey to work wasn't too bad, fingers crossed for a better nights sleep tonight.
Gavi - nearly the weekend! Not long to go before the bathroom is finished too.
Browny - hope you're feeling a bit better today. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
Well, my painful hip seems to have eased but I'm now just feeling exhausted. Can barely keep my eyes open!

I'm so late to this again! Sorry lovelies.
Just popping in to say hello anyway!
13/02/2014 at 15:51
I'm sorry SaSaSi - I usually get on so late and then don't have time to do personals (or A starts calling me and I give up). It's a lot easier on Facebook baby groups for me. I had time in my first pregnancy and really loved these tri threads and all the interaction, but I'm struggling with them this time round
I do try and read them though!

Hi all, I'm late again too since been at work today. Short day though, just 8hrs training. Generally work has been OK but I have decided I can't do 4 consecutive 12hr shifts anymore, so I'm not going to. I've taken some leave to cover my next block of shifts that starts next Friday, and told my manager that I'll come in for 3 shifts then do an extra one when I feel like it, which he's fine with. It's all a big trial, I'm the first ever paramedic in our area allowed to work while pregnant, so if I identify any issues I'm having then I can adapt my working accordingly. All very good really, and I'm quite chuffed to be paving the way in future for those who want to to stay operational. I plan to stop at 24 weeks anyway. HR are saying 20 but I think I'll be able to sweet talk them!
Scary that I'm meant to move to 2nd tri soon! One more day here....

Just glad everything is ok Saisi - no need to apologise!
Hi Ducky & barefoot !
13/02/2014 at 18:16
Right I'm back!
RC - How rubbish the back is still bad. Apologies if yesterday I said your bum was bad, I think I mate have definitely said bum!
WG - Go F! Glad he had a fab time. I wouldn't know with the hoovering, the IVF clinic told me I was under no circumstances to do heavy lifting or hoovering in the 2ww, so my H has been doing it. I haven't told him that I can actually Hoover again now *blush* as we are both out all day, it only needs doing once a week so it doesn't have it too bad.
DD - I feel worse towards the end of the day and feel pretty vile and vommy by dinner time until bed time and still feel horribly sick trying to go to sleep. The twins got morning sickness upside down it would appear! Hope the hairdressers was a nice treat.
SaSaSi - I'm with you on the bad sleeping. Really sucks and doesn't help the general exhaustion. Bah humbug! I'm on a role with my whinging tonight!
Gavi - Seems we are all tired. Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Wouldn't it be great if we could hibernate for a month and wake up in second tri?!
Browny - you are having a tough time of it with the sickness. Really hope it eases soon.
Barefoot - glad you're getting work sorted.
And on that note, I think it is group nap time!! Like at nursery, they should have a corner where all the pregnant ladies get to nap and then someone wakes them up with a cup of tea and a ginger crunch biscuit at home time!

Sort I posted on the duplicate thread this am and then just got back online after work and dinner. This is what I posted, and I haven't had another appointment from the doc so maybe she doesn't want to see me as we've already contacted the midwife.
Morning everyone. Hope you all feel OK this morning.
WG that's great that f liked nursery. I haven't had pain in my hip but do get period type pains now and again. I think it is all the stretching happening!
Yesterday we spoke to the midwife and she has sent off the referral to the hospital for our booking in appointment and also sent a note to the genetics midwife at the hospital, so I think she is the one that sorts out the early scan. I had tried making a doctors appointment for next week but she's fully booked of course and when I spoke to the receptionist she told me just to talk directly to the midwife, however the doc must have seen her note on the computer and I got a message that she wants to see me this morning! I can't make it though because of work so I'm expecting another appointment to be given to me later.

I agree with the nap time! I'm shattered every night by 6:30!
13/02/2014 at 20:02
Napping would be great, in fact I dozed for about an hour this evening. Sadly I can't see any sign of this energy after 12 weeks! I think I'm generally going to have a sleepy pregnancy!
Bunny, work have to give you time off for appointments :-)

I know but I don't want to take time off at the mo as I've only been back 2 weeks since my maternity leave finished and I don't want them to guess that I'm pregnant. They are very good and I know they would give me the time and support me, but we don't want anyone knowing yet as we want to get the booking in and testing done first, and I think I will have to have time off for that. I'm a teacher too so can't book a days holiday and cover it like that. I'm hoping any testing we want will happen in the Easter holidays so I shouldn't need too much time off and then hopefully it will be clear and I can tell work. We're not even telling parents at the mo, they knew straight away last time, as k caused so much heartache and worry (through no fault of her own) that we want to know for certain or at least have tests in place or know what we will do if there is a genetic chromosome condition. I think last year aged us all!!
