Morning WG.I would definitely ring if it gets worse, especially if your midwife thinks that you should have been checked out. Hope that the dentist appointme goes well. 5am is early! Hope you get to sit down later for a rest!
Not much to report, still waiting to feel Baby move but I know I might have a few weeks wait with the anterior placenta. Just counting down the days to the weekend as I'm tired and feel like I need the long weekend!

Hi WG, I hope the spotting doesn't get worse, definately call if you need/want to. Good luck at dentist. I went yesterday. Hygienist wants to see me in 3 months so I'm making the most of my free check ups!
Bunny, a long weekend will be great wont it! Going back to work has been hard for me after Easter off. Have you got weekend plans?
Afm I'm ok, feeling fat! My wardrobe is slowly dwindling as I realise I can't wear things! Think i might pack some stuff away. We're hoping on the builder& electrician coming to do some work next month so we'll have the furniture of three rooms in one whilst H works on the nursery & they sort our bedroom&bathroom. So the less clothes in the spare room (where we will sleep) the better!

Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, I'm usually on late so read the threads but don't always write if I don't have time to do personals!
WG: Waking early must be hard, I find getting to sleep hard. You must have lots on your mind. This spotting must be quite worrying just as it's been on & off for awhile. I know people have talked about it before & when I had a bit of spotting over Easter I mentioned it to my mum & she said she'd had it with 4 of us & said that she'd have been worried if she hadn't had any spotting. Funny isn't it! Hope you're able to get some reassurance about it today.
Bunny: I hope you feel something soon, I have to admit that I didn't feel anything till around 23 weeks with my 1st when I had an anterior placenta but I think it also depends on how low the placenta is. Enjoy the long bank holiday weekend
Raincloud: I've given into the maternity clothes already! Hope you've managed to find some nice maternity stuff to wear
AFM: Nothing new, time seems to be going very slowly still!! Felt, what I thought might've been flutters last week but not sure & haven't felt anything since. Just waiting for the tiredness to disappear!

WG I would definitely call in if you're worried. I'm sure they would be happy to speak to you regardless. Fingers crossed it stays as it is and you can have a nice long weekend of relaxing. Hope the dentist goes well!
Bunny - I am dying for the long weekend! Do you have any nice plans? I think I was 18 weeks when I felt movement, with an anterior placenta, but nothing regular til 20/21 weeks. I think mine is quite high as a lot of the kicks were really low for ages. Won't be long though!
RC - Oh that'll be a squeeze but at least all the rooms are being done! Have you decided on colours for the nursery? I packed a load of my clothes away at 17 weeks but I'm starting to grow out of my non maternity but floaty stuff too *sobs*
BK - Time sped up for me around 18 weeks so hopefully it will get less slow soon. Not that I like how fast time is going now mind! OOO flutters are exciting. Won't be long til you start getting lots of movement. Hope the bank holiday helps you catch up on some zzz's too.
AFM - not much to report really. I've started monitoring my movements a bit more closely but I can't see a pattern as such yet. Looking forward to an extra day off especially when I'm working extra on Fri and Sat night. Boo. Popping to primark on sat for some hospital bag things and need to make a start of washing baby clothes as I don't know how long we have left in the flat and don't want to leave it all to the last minute!
Hi to those that follow!

WG - I suffer from spotting, caused my a cervical erosion, fingers crossed yours is nothing to worry about
Bunny - I didn't feel proper movements until 21 weeks and since then it has not stopped and we have a very active baby
Raincloud - you have done well, Maternity for me from 12 weeks , couldn't stand having anything tight around my tummy. sounds like you have a busy time coming up
Blackkat - hopefully the tiredness will go soon, was a killer for me up to about 17 weeks when it eased right off
AFM - not much to report, looking forward to the weekend and doing a spot of baby shopping on sunday. Baby is very active, especially of a night and my hips are starting to ache like last time, just trying to find a decent sleep position is a challange
Hi to all those that follow

I've decided to gatecrash the try boards if that's okay? We're adopting so while not physically pregnant I am preparing for a baby and adoption leave! What sort of baby shopping are you doing nina beanie
01/05/2014 at 15:11
ohhh exciting stuff furmummy!!! do you have any idea when the adoption will go through? how old the your child will be?
well we have cleared out the loft and made a list of what we have/need. On the list for this weekend is:
Towels (those ones that wrap around)
GAP socks (the best to keep on IMHO)
Blankets for pram
We have a lot of big stuff like pram, cotbed and car seats. Have just brought a crib so thats off the list, we also want a poddlepod as they look fab

Bunny - I'm also waiting to feel some flutters, I too have an anterior placenta. Fingers crossed we don't have too much longer to wait. Enjoy your long weekend, hope you manage to recharge your batteries.
RC - it sounds like you're going to be a bit upside down for a while, but I'm sure it'll all be worth it. Maybe you'll have to treat yourself to some clothes after!
BK - that is interesting what your mum said. To be honest I've not really talked to mine about it much. She knows I went into hospital a few weeks ago but she doesn't know it's still happening and she hasn't really asked either! Hope your tiredness soon passes.
Jonesy - I never did find a pattern with F's movements although I seemed to automatically know if he hadn't moved for a while. Weird isn't it? Hope you get your hospital bag stuff sorted in Primark, I'm thinking of looking there for nightshirts nearer the time. You''ll have to report back on what you buy!
NB - they have mentioned cervical erosion but at the moment no examinations, etc have been carried out to find out. I think if they're going to call it 'one of those things' then that's fine but I'd like them to at least rule anything bad out first, IYKWIM? Baby shopping sounds exciting! I can't wait to start buying bits.
Furmummy - welcome to the thread, lovely to have you here.
So, I rang the maternity helpline number at the hospital this morning. I explained to the MW everything that's happened and she said that as the blood is brown it suggests it's old blood (that I already knew) which means if they examined me they probably wouldn't see what's been causing the bleeding as, in theory, it has stopped. She said if it continues as it is for a few days, or it turns red, or if it stops and then I get more next week then I need to ring them back. I'm feeling much more relieved having spoken to someone but just wish we could find out why it keeps happening.
Seeing as I could really do with trying to chill out a bit, I'm hoping to go to a yoga class first thing tomorrow and have an easy weekend!
01/05/2014 at 19:22
Raincloud you've done well to not be entirely in maternity clothes!
Bk I'm also waiting for the tiredness to go! Hope you feel something soon.
Jonesy you're being organised! Enjoy your extra day off.
Ninabeanie I love shopping for baby stuff. I'm trying to wait until after the 20 week scan before I get stuff really but finding it hard! Looks like you've got a good list of things to get.
Hi furmummy and welcome!
WG glad the midwife put your mind at ease and you've got a plan in place if it happens again.
Going to London on Saturday for a friends birthday, but no other real plans this weekend. I'm glad that lots of you with an anterior placenta felt movements around the same time, so I will try not to think about it too much until 20 weeks.
01/05/2014 at 19:38
Bunny hope you feel some movements so and at least managing some fantasy shopping.
Nina Beanie that sounds like fun shopping. We're getting paint for the nursery. Already have furniture and a buggy so most of the big purchases. We were approved up to the age of 2 so now it's a matter of awaiting a match which could be a couple of weeks but could be months! Most likely over summer/early autumn so thought 2nd tri was a good place to join.
Raincloud - sounds like retail therapy is in order.
BK - hope you have baby kicks soon
Jonesy - enjoy shopping!
AFM - social worker has been out and we dissected last week as our panel wasn't great. She's also complaining about it so I feel a bit better moving forward. We're giving our LA 3 months to find a match and then going on a national register. Decided to press on with the nursery as we have pretty much everything to go in it!
01/05/2014 at 20:23
WG glad you have spoken to MW, I know it's really worrying x
Fur mummy that's great, I am glad your social worker is complaining it needs to be raised. Nursery decorating is a great place to start, I bet you get lots of gifts once people know the age of the baby. I am being really cautious with what I am buying until baby is here. I over brought with the girls and I have learnt my lesson, it makes no difference to the baby how many clothes or toys they have !!
01/05/2014 at 20:50
Yeah we won't buy toys and I'll just buy a few bits of clothes/pj's when we know who's coming. I think my family will buy a few bits so I've stuck with things like books, bedding, towels etc!
01/05/2014 at 21:51
Too late for personals but apologies for keep forgetting to post in the tri threads. I must stop being such a lazy poster!! x
