Morning all. I'm early on the go today because I woke up and my head started churning with all the things I need to do between now and Baby CA coming along!!! New house, new car, learn about babies, buy baby stuff, clear out old house......
Feel so excited this morning that I might actually be having a baby!!!!
Hope everyone slept ok.
Fig - only one more sleep until your scan. Will be here in no time.
Coco - sorry the haircut was a disaster yesterday!!!!!
I'm going to head to work early today and maybe pop into Asda to look at the baby clothes. At lunchtime today I'm going to make a trip across the road to the pram shop that I stare at every day from my desk at work. I've never set foot in the place as I wanted to wait on my scan first. Today's the day!!!! Wish me luck (because I think I'll need it!!!).

Morning CA, I'm so happy to see you so excited about everything- you are having a baby!!!!!!
I will look forward to hearing about how prammart goes, you can fill us in after.
Fig one more sleep! It'll be here in no time now.
Well I bought some teeny tiny babygrows yesterday, they're so cute! I slept right through the night until 6am too, no loo trip or anything. Amazing. I'm off work tomorrow and Monday too so only today to work and then 4 days off! Whoop!
20/02/2014 at 06:58
Morning CA! Congratulations again on yesterday's scan ....you're having a baby! :-) Enjoy your baby browsing today, hope you manage to find some nice bits :-)
AFM - Yesterday was an absolute disaster, I live in the hope that one day he'll just be fine and sit there nicely! Not much to report baby wise, other than some definite movements which is lovely! Just got to get through the next couple of days at work and then we've a busy weekend of prams and big boy bed shopping ahead :-)
Will pop back later for personals x
20/02/2014 at 07:01
Sorry missed you there Imp with my slow typing...yay for baby purchases! It's unreal looking at how small those babygrows are, I sorted all O's,old bits out recently and it's surreal thinking he sad ever so tiny when you see him now! Hope work goes quickly... Any plans for your long weekend? X
20/02/2014 at 07:10
Morning coco. Booo to him creating at the barbers! I hope work goes fast so you can get to the shopping part!
We're off to see rudimental tomorrow night, when we booked it we were gutted that we could t get standing tickets. Now I'm just so glad it's seated! Lol. Then on Saturday were going to meet out friends 4 week old baby. Sunday I'm trekking down to the baby show at excel.
20/02/2014 at 07:28
cA this is where the sleepless nights start for you haha, there's a million things to think of isn't there!
Imp, what have I told you about bragging lol! Loving that you have nought some baby bits though :-)
Coco- sorry o didn't like it :-( what an exciting weekend you have though! What pram are you going for?
Afm- my diva is dancing away in there which is lovely! I think I have a toothache coming on though so need to book the dentist :-(
Also watched an old episode of one born last night and freaked myself out a bit haha
20/02/2014 at 07:33
Monnie - the new series starts next week! I didn't watch it while I was pregnant with O as I didn't want to scare myself....may watch this time though as I think they can.often over dramatize things iyswim (but so guess I had luck on my side in labour too!) Hope the toothache buggers off soon!
Edited to add: we're undecided in prams just now but leaning to Oyster or Bugaboo Can...will see what grabs us!
20/02/2014 at 07:44
The one i watched was all about scheduled c sections and inducements so I think it was a bit close to home for me haha
We have an oyster and a stokke xplory, we love both but the oyster is amazing!!!!

CA, you're having a BABY!!! Woohoo!! I'm so happy to see you so excited :) Good luck in Prammart!
Imp, hurrah for sleeping through! Hoping that today flies for you and that your lovely long weekend is here before you know it. So exciting that you've been buying baby grows :)
Coco, sorry to hear yesterday was such a disaster, fingers crossed that he gets used to it very soon. Lovely that you're feeling definite movements now! Hope the next two days go quickly for you, pram and big boy bed shopping sounds like fun!
Monnie, boo to toothache but yey to your dancing baby! Good luck with getting a dentist appointment soon. I've been watching loads of OBEM - I'm trying to desensitise myself to it all...it's not working so far! Haha!
AFM, one more sleep until my scan! Thanks for thinking of me CA and Imp, I'm getting nervous now. I have the day off today and think I'm going to meet up with my mum this afternoon and have another little browse at nursery furniture. It should make the afternoon go more quickly. We opted against the three hour train ride to view that house, it's a little out of our price range anyway so we'll wait and see if it sells or not for a little while first, before possibly going in and offering them less. Suits me as it means no long train ride today, hurrah!
Have a nice Thursday everyone, not long until the weekend xx
20/02/2014 at 08:46
oooo fig how exciting about your scan ! have you any furniture in mind ?
20/02/2014 at 09:01
Thanks Monnie, I'm just nervous at the moment! Although I am looking forward to seeing baby again :) I just hope that everything is okay.
I change my mind every single time I go to look at the furniture. We know we want white furniture...that's about as far as we've managed to get! Haha
20/02/2014 at 09:02
CA so glad the scan went well! I have missed all threads since the weekend so I need to go through and catch up. It's lovely to hear you all excited, and you most definitely are having a baby! Good luck for pram shopping and all the other kinds of shooping you have to look forward to now! The next 4ish months sound exciting.
Imp - Yay for sleep. I think I've missed your scan update too? Your weekend sounds awesome though! Rudimental will be fab. I've got standing tickets for a gig at Easter so I will be sitting all day in preparation haha. Let us know how the baby show goes.
Coco - How nice to have some definite movement but sorry the hairdressers didn't go very well. Enjoy your shopping weekend!
Monnie - toothache sucks but at least the treatment is free! Hope it's nothing too drastic. I love OBEM but I'm sure I want to watch it this year haha
Fig - one sleep woohoo! Hope you have a lovely day off with your mum and a day without a 3 hour train journey sounds good to me!
AFM - had a lovely time in London and was spoiled with presents and baby clothes from my friends. I also now have a giant bag of mat clothes which is just in time as I seem to have popped out over the weekend. Maternity trousers are the comfiest things I have ever worn!

Happy Thursday Everyone
CA - great news about your scan, I feel tired reading what you are planning to do before baby arrives! Good luck with the pram shopping, I am missing out on that this time
Imp - A whole nights sleep sounds bliss, as does a nice long weekend - enjoy!
Coco - We are looking at bed this weekend, for the two bigger girls. Molly has requested a princess bed - no idea what that involves so she will have to show us
Monnie - I love One Born, there is a new series starting monday so I will be tuning in!! My husband really wants the Stokke but I said it is a waste of money when we have a pram etc (M&P Skate which isn't made anymore) but now I am regretting it. Did you buy new?
Figaro - sounds sensible about the house. Good luck with tomorrows scan
Jonesy - I am already in my maternity clothes - you have done well to hold off until now! sounds like you have some lovely friends too
AFM - not much to report apart from extreme tiredness, I literally feel drained. Have tomorrow off work as have a friend coming over, the oven being cleaned (using my christmas present money - OH thinks I am mad but I hate cleaning the oven!) then I have a midwife appointment so not much rest for me, will crash tomorrow evening whilst OH is at work. We have set a date to go up in the loft and sort through all the baby stuff, Molly is going for a sleepover with my parents so the three of us are going to get everything down and box it in ages/neutrals v's pink! - I am stupidly excited to see what we have up there!
Hi to all that follow
20/02/2014 at 09:30
CA - I know how you feel; my brain is going all the time with all the things we need to do and buy! Lovely to see you're so excited!
Imp - yay to sleeping right through!
Coco - enjoy your shopping!
Monnie - hope you manage to get a dentist appointment and the toothache eases soon.
Fig - incase I don't get on before work tomorrow, good luck with your scan and have a lovely day off.
Jonsey - glad you had a lovely time in London.
AFM - H finished painting the nursery yesterday. I've yet to choose the furniture and decorations and we now have a 3rd bedroom with double the amount of clutter in it. There's so much to do around our house before baby arrives and we really need to get a move on and do it! Nothing to report pregnancy-wise.
20/02/2014 at 09:32
Sorry NB I typed so slowly I missed you. Hope you get some time to rest properly whilst your OH is at work.
20/02/2014 at 10:47
CA - congratulations again on the scan from yesterday. I know you were a bit disappointed with the pic, but it really wasn't a bad one I didn't think, looked a lot like a baby to me! Good luck and have fun shopping, enjoy playing with prams. Have you any idea what you might go for?
Imp - woop-woop for sleeping through, I'm very jealous! Enjoy your long weekend and Rudimental (I have to admit to being too far out of touch with pop to really know who they are, though I have heard of them.) Seated tix def a good thing at this stage.
Coco - sorry the haircut went less well than hoped. I've only had to do J's once (he was a complete baldy until about 15 months) but was dreading it. I assume you've tried all kinds of distraction and bribery? We took a small bag of white choc buttons when we did J which kept him nice and quiet! Yay for definite movements, it's such a nice feeling. Is O walking enough for you to get away without a double buggy?
Monnie, yay for dancing divas, but a big boo to toothache. On the plus side, at least dentistry is free during pregnancy - I managed to get a £400 thing done just before mine ran out last time! Was that your first One Born viewing? I was addicted when pregnant, though it terrified me, but I have to agree with coco, they seem to choose quite a lot of screamers. Excited to hear it's starting back next week!
Fig, not long now! Enjoy your day off today and the browsing of nursery furniture. Yay for no long train ride, hopefully the perfect house will come up soon.
Jonesy, glad you had a fun time in London. Maternity trousers are amazing aren't they? Almost enough to make you want to buy trousers out of the back of old lady magazines with highly elasticated waists from now on... but not quite.
Ninabeanie, sorry you're so tired, especially as it doesn't sound like you're getting a break any time soon. On the one hand I agree with your H that spending christmas money on cleaning the oven sounds exceedingly dull, but I got a new hoover for Christmas (my request) so I'm not one to talk. Enjoy sorting through baby bits, hope you find lots of exciting bits.
Ixia, what colour did you go for? Don't worry, you've plenty of time yet! Though it does seem to go faster and faster the closer you get to 40 weeks. Until about 38 weeks, when it suddenly slows down and drags even worse than the first tri again.
Afm, I'm back at work today as J seems to be doing better, and didn't spike a temp during the night at all, yay, antibiotics must have finally kicked in. I've a friend coming for dinner tonight so will need to do a quick food shop on the way home, we don't have anything in at the moment, and the house is also a bit of a tip after not being allowed to put J down for the last 3 days, no cleaning has been done. Hopefully she won't judge! Not much to report baby wise, I now have my second thrilling purchase done - a replacement mattress for the bednest.
20/02/2014 at 11:06
Monnie booo to toothache, I sympathise after my two weeks of hell earlier this year. Get a dentist appt pronot before it gets worse.
Fig enjoy the baby shopping with your mum, let us kno what you find- I want white too.
Jonesy I hear you on the mat trousers. They are so comfy I'm not sure I'll ever want to give them up!
NB the loft sounds like a big job, when are you doing it? As for the oven, I hate cleaning them too so i don't balme you using your money for it.
Ixia yay to the nursery being painted. What colour?
SG I'm sure your friend won't mind, glad J is feeling better too.
20/02/2014 at 11:48
Jonesy, glad you had a lovely time in London. So nice that your friends spoilt you :) I don't know how you've avoided maternity clothes for so long! I love my maternity gear, it is all very comfy!
NB, sorry you're suffering with extreme tiredness, I've had this too and it's hard. I hope you manage to get an early night in soon. Enjoy sorting through all of your baby things!
Ixia, what colour did you go for? I think we're going to go fairly neutral for the walls, but there is a teeny tiny part of me that would like to go all out Barbie lol!
20/02/2014 at 11:54
SG, I'm glad to hear that J is doing so much better. Hope work is going okay. Enjoy tonight with your friend.
Imp, I'm planning to check out the White Company's cot - I'll give you a review later :)
I've lost my day off tomorrow. I've been offered some extra work I can't say no to as officially I'll be unemployed by the end of March so every little extra helps. Hey ho at least it's some extra pennies for the baby fund.
20/02/2014 at 11:57
Loft is being done on the 1st March - OH works most weekends so we have to plan doing something like this. He has brought home loads of new boxes so we are going to label and sort whilst he boards a bit more of the loft. Once I know what I have I can make a list of what we have to get/replace. Molly is planning a shopping trip - on her list is the essentials - nappies, bibs, bobbies (dummies to you and I!) and toys!!
