Hoper you're all well. I'm still feeling rubbish but have to pop into town today for a few bits. Hoping to take a leisurely stroll around town, no rushing. What do you all have planned today?
PS - so pleased your scan went well yesterday.

Morning WG - sorry you're still feeling pants. It will take a while to get over so make sure you are easy on yourself and lots of rests whilst pottering!
It is scan day for me. I'm quite nervous! I'll report back about lunch time :)

Morning WG, sorry you're still not right. I'm going to town briefly for a hair trim&a few bits&bobs.
Good luck for the scan ducky!
Glad the scan went well yesterday PS,
AFM I got 3000 words written yesterday so just need to conclude today & then make changes, redraft etc. it's an MA in education (someone asked yesterday. Can't remember who sorry!) I'm due to complete in October but my aim is to get my dissertation done before the baby comes. It's going to be a bit manic but I'm detirmined not to defer.

Morning all! Not been on for a while since when I'm at work or away, I don't have time to post until late evening when most people have gone for the day. Anyway, day off today, so hi to all xx
WG, hope you start to feel better soon. Enjoy your day in town.
Ducky, all the best for your scan, look forward to an update later xx
RC, good going on the dissertation. I don't envy you trying to do that and grow a little one!
AFM not too much to report. Waiting to hear from work when I can finish. I'm starting mat leave from my due date, but have 200ish hours leave for the year to front load onto that so I'm hoping that will give me an extra 6-7 weeks, Should find out tomorrow or Monday. Still working frontline and hoping to do that until at least the end of May, begging stealing and borrowing uniform from larger colleagues! Today's plans are an on going battle with Mothercare over delivery of my furniture, and we have an appointment this afternoon to visit the nursery I hope babybean can go to next year. Baby places book up super fast, so I want a place reserved asap really. This one is lovely, they have a country kids ethos, having children outside as much as possible, a crawling lawn for babies, and once they are toddlers, they start them growing veg in a little allotment and take them for country walks. It would fit in so well with our lifestyle, and we think we can get away with 2 days a week as long as hubby can take 3 days per month flexible working and stay at home. Fingers crossed!

WG - hope you start to feel better soon
Ducky - good luck with your scan, looking forward to an update later
RC - good luck with getting your dissertation finished, I am studying my CIPD and hope to conclude the main parts before I go on leave which is hard work but means I can relax whilst off but also no defering.
BF - good luck with the Nursery, it is important you feel comfortable with wherever baby ends up. I already have a place one day a week where Molly has gone since she was two, we love it there and they are really pleased to be getting a mini-molly
AFM - well work has been mental hence the lack of posting from me but I have two clear weeks without boss from Monday which will be bliss. Sorted out the loft at the weekend and although I kept all the big stuff I haven't got any of the lovely outfits Molly had when she was little, all I have is vests and baby gro's - will do for now and we can shop once baby is here and we know the gender.
Baby is kicking away today, having a real party in there, think they are going to be a lively one!

WG: Hope it doesn't take too much longer to recover but glad you're taking things easier
Ducky: Good luck with your scan today. Do you get extra scans after this 1 with twins?
Raincloud: Well done with getting your assignment written, hope the editing goes well
BF: Sounds like a lovely nursery, hope you enjoy your look round.
AFM: As I had such a lazy day I've really got to get a grip with marking today so it'll probably mean that my toddler will be watching a lot of tv but there you go. Also I'm trying to get hold of the Oral surgery to find out if they're going to remove 1 of my wisdom teeth. I've heard mixed things about whether they will do it when I'm pregnant but I'd rather get it done sooner rather than later if they'll do it.

WG - make sure you take it easy, lots of little breaks, poor thing.
Ducky - good luck with the scan, hope the sprouts are well behaved!
RC - you're a brave lady but sounds like the best thing to do!
BF - sounds lovely, hope the look round goes well.
BK - surely it is better to have it removed before baby comes, I couldn't imagine dealing with a baby and recovering from that!!
AFM - not much to report but really tired today. I am having one of those days where I would prefer to just lay in bed with the cats and watch bad TV!!!

Didn't manage to get on at all over the last week it has been MAD so apologies for being AWOL. What did I miss?
WG - hope you feel better soon. Fresh air might be a good thing though. It's lovely here so I hope you get a bit of sunshine.
Ducky - good luck for the scan! Hope it all goes well.
RC - 3,000 words is good going! Do you need to do much research for your diss? If it helps we went through a South - North move in the middle of writing mine so I actually wrote it in about 2 months (including the research). Managed to pass so I'm sure you can do it!! It's the best feeling when it's finished.
BF - the nursery sounds lovely! I can;t believe how organised you are! I haven't even decided what kind of childcare we want to go for let alone exactly where.. Hope mothercare start playing ball soon too.
NB - another organised one! Really nice baby will be going to the same place as Molly though. Are you staying team yellow? I've told H he will be going shopping as soon as bean is here and I think he's quite excited about that.
BK - hope the dentist goes ok if you do need it and fingers crossed the marking goes quickly!
Gavi -I am with you! Sadly I was in a meeting for 8 which scuppered any lazy morning plans too. Boo. Are you in work today?
AFM - had my 25 week appointment and the midwife reassured me that I am not gigantic as all Easter people have just been saying how massive I am :( how is that ever suppoed to be a compliment? And even if I am seriously massive just shush. Got a bit down and then a bit panicky that bean was going to be huuuge.
House stuff is moving along though and we should have everything except the exchange fo contracts done a week on monday. Fingers crossed the rest is speedy too!

Ducky - I thought someone had a scan today but my memory is like a sieve these days! I hope the scan is going well and looking forward to seeing an update.
Raincloud - 300 words written yesterday?! Wow. I hope you manage to get the dissertation done before baby arrives.
BF - hope you get the problem with Mothercare resolved. Good luck looking round the nursery too, let us know how you get on.
NB - yay to the boss being out for 2 weeks from next week! In our office, the whole place just felt more relaxed when the boss was away, it was much more enjoyable.
BK - I did see your other post about the teeth but haven't had chance to reply. I'm pretty sure they can remove them but I think I read something about the anaesthetic being an issue in pregnancy (I might be completely wrong though!) and obviously things like xrays. Hope you get an answer soon though.
Gavi - hope the tiredness soon passes.
Jonesey - ignore peoples' comments if you can. It amazes me how people think they can say whatever they want about how a woman looks when their pregnant. Slightly different, but a few people have said this baby is going to 'be a big one' as apparently it looks huge and properly formed already on our 12 week photo. I couldn't be bothered to tell them that the sonographer probably enlarged it a bit for us so we had a good photo.
I still have my funny headache and awful cough but I think I'm starting to feel a bit better in myself. I think a walk around the shops helped too, managed to get quite a few things sorted so that's good. Now I better put all the shopping bags away before H gets home hehe!

Hi again, especially to those I've missed so far.
Nina, at least you can have fun buying new cute things :-)
BK, any joy with the teeth yet? I don't envy you, I have a serious dentist phobia but desperately need to go. Ugh!
Gavi, laying in bed with the cat is just what I'm back to doing now. Enjoy yourself :-)
Jonesy, people don't know when to shut up do they? I keep getting told I don't even look pregnant, and "well you wouldn't guess if you didn't know would you?". Hmmm I do have a bump, albeit not a mahoosive one, but what with minimal kicks and comments like that, I just worry :-(
Nursery visit went really well. Amazing place, just as outdoorsy and rural as I thought, and they also have yoga, music and ballet classes included for toddlers, and start Spanish lessons once they're 3. All the children seemed very calm, happy and engaged, the staff were lovely, and the baby unit has a cot room, a sensory room and 2 playrooms. The downside is that they won't work round shifts, they say it needs to be the same days per week, so we may end up having to pay for 4 or 5 days (approx. 65% of my salary) while just using 2 or 3. Will try to work it out later. It IS expensive but I don't think you can put a price on decent childcare/education.
Jonesy, I'm not overly organised, I just knew I'd be going back to work full time, family aren't close enough to babysit, so nursery is the only real option. A nursery that has the same values and ethos that we do was a must, so I think this will suit nicely. Short of getting a live in nanny (we don't have enough spare rooms) it's the only option really.

Sorry in going to rubbish and rude with no personals this late in the day!
Scan was fine as far as they could tell, babies were being awkward and so a few things need to be checked in a fortnight. I've just read my scan report and these are the heart for both, one part of the brain for one and his ankles/check for club foot. Still a boy and girlie!
24/04/2014 at 18:29
Hello everyone. Sorry a bit late for personals.
Ducky glad the scan was good so far. I imagine with 2 in there its quite tricky seeing all the right bits as the other one would block different angles! At least you get to see them again very soon. Glad they've got the sex right!
24/04/2014 at 19:00
Bit late to this today so no proper personals...just wanted to say congrats to Purplestar and Ducky on their scans over the last couple of days :-) x

Hi Barefoot, the nursary sounds lovely, hope you get a place.
Nina - whats a CIPD? Great that you found some goodies in the loft.
BK - I was told I had to have a wisdom tooth removed. But the hospital referral never came through and I was too chicken to chase it up. I hate dentists. That was 7 ish years ago and it's never been mentioned since!
Gavi - hope your day hasn;t been too bad.
Jonesy - good luck with the house move. Are you moving far? Thanks for the vote of confidence - It's good to know it can be done in 2 months! This assigment (all completed now!) is my last one before the actual dissertation. I've started research for it in termws of past literature on the subject, but need to conduct interviews and so on as part of it so that needs to be done next term. I have planned out my time but I'm already behind but there we go! I keep reminding myself I just have to pass. It was always going to be hard work with a full time job, but having a strict deadline will keep me motivated.
WG - what did you buy?
I guess two must be difficult to check Ducky. Good they are getting you back though.
24/04/2014 at 19:40
Congratulations Ducky, so glad it went well x
