Morning ladies. I've kind of given up going to sleep so figured I'd set this off for the day! How's everyone?
I'm ok. Got my weight woman at 9 (not looking forward to it, not seen her for 4 weeks and I'm pretty sure I've piled on the pounds) and then midwife at 1. I'm hoping she will tell me he's more engaged, because if not that means I'm going to get a whole load more uncomfortable and I'm not sure it's possible!
Hope everyone has a good day :)

Morning! 2 appts in one day, lucky you! Hope all is well.
I've been awake since 2.15. Some days I'm eating stupid foods just to stay alert :) Was planning on getting up at 6.30 but think I'm going to change that alarm!
Morning to everyone coming after :)

Weird that I didn't come on here for 2 hrs and then thought I'd pop on and post quickly at exactly the time you were posting!

That is weird timing!
I definitely think a later alarm is required, at least to give yourself half a chance at some sleep!

Ob - good luck with your appointment.
Counter - hope you managed to get more sleep.
Abc - I really hate sitting waiting to go to work! Such a waste when you can't sleep.
AR - hope you don't get the bug :( your day sounds lovely.
I've given up sleeping now, which is annoying. I thought things could be happening yesterday but unfortunately not. I hate the waiting game! H is staying off work today because of the tube strikes so it'll be nice to have company. Also getting my hair done which I'm looking forward to because I look as good as I feel at the moment! Sorry for moaning esp when there could be another 2 weeks of this!

Thanks Isis :) Do second births usually follow the first? When's 38 weeks? Hope you're not waiting long.

Isis, I have been reading a lot about second births because Harry was 17 days late and I've got those concerns about issues with placenta late on etc. And... I'm on a schedule and need a timely arrival ha ha.
The threads on here show no trend whatsoever for 2nd arrivals being sooner, in fact the opposite, and other forums have polls and threads too, lots of, and they don't show a trend towards earlier either. Just a bit of a mish-mash. They're much quicker once they start though, it seems!! Sorry to be doommonger!! Once you're last 'your' date whether it's EDD or the one you've got wedged in your head. I think every day feels like a week so you have my sympathy!

Lots of non sleepers on here today! Just rushing about getting M ready for nursery will attempt personals later
I'm another wide awake last night, up twice to pee, up once with M then was having really vivid dreams the rest of the time. Yawn. Hope tonight is better for all of us. Got midwife at lunchtime, and got a few things to do in the house today, so hopefully the day will go fast.
Hi to all on later, baby out vibes to those that want them x

It's really hard Isis, I know how you feel. I always anticipated going full term but now I'm here I can't imagine 2 more weeks. Taking it one day at a time is really good advice. It might be a few extra weeks but no one is pregnant forever.

no one is pregnant forever.
no one is pregnant forever.
Feels like it though! At the end of my time being pregnant with Harry I told the ward sister she could book me for a C-section and let someone else have 'this bloody baby' because I could not face one more single day of all the symptoms and depression!! Then I discharged myself and went and had a lovely baby somewhere else :)

OB- Hope midwife appointment goes well, fingers crossed he is engaged. How many weeks are you now?
Counter- Another early riser. Hope you're not too tired today.
ABC- Hope work is ok for you. Hopefully you will get a better sleep tonight.
AR- Poor H, thats good of him sleeoing downstairs, hope you and P don't catch it.
LD- Don't feel bad for maoning, thats's what we are here for :)
Isis- Hope you managed some more sleep.
AFM- had a great time out last night, ate far too much though! Too much food, country roads and a wriggly baby do not mix well! All good here, just the usual tiredness and I have to babysit my nephew tonight so no early night for me!
Weekender missed you, hope the midwife goes ok. We all seem to be a bunch of non sleepers!
