Congrats to MrsClarke!
Baby out vibes for Ferbs!
Well, my dinner with four of my closest friends last night was actuallly a surprise baby shower with about 15 of my friends and family! I was gobsmacked when I walked in, and they were pleased I hadnt guessed! One friend made the most amazing cake, and I had some lovely gifts. I was very touched. Wasnt something I would have thought of for myself.
Back later to say Hi to everyone!

Baby out vibes to Ferbs

Sounds like you H is making a welcome return!
I got a massive box of lotiions and potions for me and baby, sock-ons, nightlight, couple of baby record books, money box and vouchers to spend when I need some new post baby clothes! They went to a lot of trouble bless them.

Congratulations to MrsClarke and lots of baby out vibes to Ferbs.
Porkchop, that sounds like a wonderful surprise, how lovely to be spoilt.
Ally, hope your daughter's behaviour improves, mine are being dreadful too, especially in the mornings. Happy birthday to J for tomorrow!
AFM, quiet morning today then I'm working this afternoon so that will keep me busy. Went to town yesterday and picked up the few bits I needed for my hospital bag, had a call from the doctors as well to say that there is no cause for concern with these antibodies they were testing for but they want to take some cord blood at birth just to check.
13/06/2013 at 08:03
What antibodies do you have Margot? I have anti-lu ones and they keep testing my blood all the time. Had them last pregnancy and no one was bothered but they seem more concerned this time
That's a great haul of pressies PC :-)
13/06/2013 at 08:07
Ally, I have anti-M antibodies which the hospital first told me were no cause for concern but the MW said they can be if the levels are high enough and can cause jaundice or even the need for a transfusion. I'm glad that they have at least been followed up this time, I'm seeing the consultant again in two weeks so will check with them then as well. Hopefully this means no more bloods till pre-op!
13/06/2013 at 08:10
It's good they're keeping an eye on them. I've had blood taken at every mw appt I've been to :-(
13/06/2013 at 08:30
PC - That sounds lovely! Lucky you!
Ally - Hope your little girls behavior improves with you H being back
Margot - Glad to hear there's nothing to worry about with the antibodies
AFM - Had my 35 week apt with the midwife yesterday (should have been last week at 34wks but I was away). She's pleased with everything, she said baby's heads well down and she could only feel 2 parts of it's head (not really sure what that means). Unfortunately she did say that doesn't necessarily mean it will be early or on time! Bump measuring at 33cm which is a bit small but following the pattern it has all the way through. The only issue I have is swelling feet and hands although they're not as bad as they were when I was away last week and I really shouldn't be complaining as that is the only thing I've had wrong really!
Have a good day everyone!
13/06/2013 at 08:36
Margot - glad the hospital are looking after you properly.
TT - i think they do it on 5ths so the fact she can only feel 2 parts means that the other 3/5 are engaged in your pelvis! Whoop!

Ferbs – even more baby out vibes being sent your way.
Porkchop – so lovely of your friends to have thought to do that, making it a surprise made it all the more exciting! And some fab prezzies!
Ally – yay for the return of your H this afternoon. Ooo, what kind of cake are you making for J? Happy birthday for tomorrow!
Margot – glad things are sounding good with your antibodies, enjoy your morning.
Twinkletoes – by only feeling certain amount of head, means baby is getting on down and becoming engaged. I find the swelling annoying as you can’t really do much about it, just make sure you pop your feet up when you can.
AFM – bought a couple more bits for my hospital bag last night, tesco maternity pads are currently 3 for 2, if anyone interested? We have our NCT breastfeeding session which I’m looking forward to but at the same time wishing it wasn’t 7-10pm, I’m going to be ready to collapse into bed the second we get home! So I’m planning on a nice relaxing day not doing too much.

Baby out vibes, Ferbs!!
PC, I think it's lovely that your friends threw you a baby shower! And well done them for keeping it secret!
Ally, oh no that your daughter has been a pain! What kind of cake are you making?
Margot, That's good that they're keeping a close eye on it but that it's not a concern. I'd always rather a dr be over-cautious I think
TT, sounds like a positive appointment. Fingers crossed for a due date baby anyway!
Sapphire, that's a late night for a pregnant lady! Bet the session will be really useful though, especially to help find support if you need it
AFM - Had two hour nap yesterday and 7.5 hours sleep last night but still exhausted today! Woke up in the night and baby had stretched his legs out so my belly was cone-shaped! Really wish it had been light enough to take a photo!

Porkchop a lovely surprise, they did well to keep it secret!
Ally oh dear, does she know daddy's away so can play up?
Margot yikes to hospital bag! That's good news about the antibodies
Twinkletoes glad all is looking well, get your swollen feet up resting
Sapphire thanks for the tip! That's a late one, hope its worth it though
PW you obviously need it! That is a very funny shape, won't be much room for stretching in the coming weeks!
Baby out ferbs!
Afm had whooping cough vaccine yesterday. Wrote a list of things to do whilst off work now to try and keep me busy. Despite having a lot of days off due to working long hours I'm always busy so struggling a little with this relaxing business. Pain is so much better not working, it's early evening before it gets bad. H is away this weekend on his brothers stag weekend, leaving tomorrow and I really really don't want him to go, never usually this clingy but really upset by the thought of it. Got some bits planned with a friend and going to pack my hospital bag so should keep busy

Those who asked about the cake - am planning a chocolate cake with chocolate fingers round the outside and hundreds of smarties on top. About as far as my talents stretch! I've bought Thomas the Tank ribbon to tie round it :-)
13/06/2013 at 10:41
PC- what a lovely suprise and very thoughtful gifts by the sounds of it.
Ally-cake sounds amazing, can not beat a chocolate cake!
Margot- that all sounds good about the antibodies, hope work is ok this afternoon
Twinkletoes- glad the midwife went well, hope the swellin starts to go down
Sapphire-wil pop to tesco later thanks for the heads up. Hope your not too tired after your class tonight and that its useful
PW-make the most of the sleep whilst you can, shame you couldnt get a picture would have been unusual bump shot
Duckford-glad the pain is a lot better now your off work, sounds like you've made lots of plans
AFM- 29+1 baby very wiggly and active, nice relaxing day today planned with some yoga later
Hope everyone has a lovely day, I hope ferbs abscence so far is significant.

No sign of Ferbs.......me thinking this is a good sign!
13/06/2013 at 12:14
Fingers crossed things have kicked off for her!
13/06/2013 at 12:38
DF, great news your pain is better from being at home. At least it makes finishing work early worthwhile. I hope you don't miss your H too much this weekend. I'm more clingy atm too but at the same time, find H more annoying when he's around! Can't win!
Ally - sounds like my kind of cake! Now I have cake cravings!
Noodle, have a fab day and enjoy yoga
FX things are happening for Ferbs!

Duckford stupid question did the vaccine hurt, I hate needles (I'm doomed!)
Noodle enjoy your yoga!
AFM - Not even sure I should be over here yet but hey ho lol. Got my 28 week appointment tomorrow a bit early due to work next week. I keep getting bad pain at night in my stomach and keep having bad dreams about the baby, entirely convinced the 2 are linked. Hubby woke me up at 4 am to tell me to lie on my side because apparrantly I was snoring really loudly and at points seemed to stop breathing (yey apnoea fun times...not!). My parents bought us a beautiful moses basket and stand and had it all set up for me to see yesterday, I cried (such a wuss). Hope everyone is well xxxx
