morning ladies how are we all today? Any progress during the night?
not much to report baby wise, I'm seeing my sister for dinner after work tonight so looking forward to that. X

Morning MrsL, enjoy your dinner with your sister tonight.
AFM - I think it's going to be a long day. F woke 40 mins ago and hasn't stopped crying since. No idea what's wrong! Thankfully no plans today so I'm hoping he'll have a nap this afternoon or if he picks up I'll take him to the park. Baby wise all seems fine.
Hi to those who follow.

Morning. Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday, the tablet was being used as a TV since the repair man took ours away. Had some strong period like cramps for about 2hrs yesterday, but again, fairly constant so nothing really to report. This morning I woke up feeling very sick, with tummy ache, but that doesn't feel baby related either. Ah well. May actually have been because I went to sleep with a couple of drops of Clary sage oil on my pillow which I saw recommended somewhere. The smell is OK for a short while, for example in the bath, but a bit much all night! Don't think I'll be doing that again!
MrsL, dinner sounds nice. Are you going out somewhere? Have a good evening whatever is planned x
WG sorry to hear you had an early wake up call! Hope you get some sleep later.

MrsL - enjoy your dinner with your sister!
WG - sorry to hear F isn't well - hope he picks up soon.
BF - sorry things didn't progress yesterday - hopefully not long now!
AFM - had a bit of a down/grumpy day yesterday so hoping I'm in a better mood today. I've been having headaches on and off the past few days but nothing major and although I am generally a bit swollen my feet/hands aren't badly swollen but I'll keep an eye on them. I felt sick yesterday evening too to make matters worse. I think I'm just a bit fed up (already!) I feel like I've been waiting for this baby to come forever. Well I have if you count the time we were TTC! I also feel like I'm not as organised as I'd like to be. I'm usual such an organised person but I don't seem to have the urgency about me at the moment to sort the last few bits like birth plan, practice active birth techniques, finish reading my hypnobirthing book, do a playlist etc. Not to mention revisit our name lists that I'm not 100% on! I just don't seem to have the motivation which I never thought would happen! :(
Baby out vibes to those that want them! X

Mrs l enjoy your dinner with your sister tonight.
WG poor f. I hope he picks up a bit or gives you a clue as to what's wrong.
Bf all those things sound good, at least its moving in the right direction.
Babywise all is fine, still pretty wriggly. Had a look at exercises to help turn breech babies and the frequency with which you are meant to do them was quite scary! I get heartburn after eating so not sure when I could stick my bum in the air four times a day. Will start by trying to sit up more and doing One or two of the easier ones first and hope baby turns by themselves.

Definitely keep an eye on things and call the midwife if you feel unwell. The last few bits you've got to do aren't essential and you've still got time if baby comes around 40 weeks. I didn't even take my bags into the hospital last time as I went in with just mild pains and waters gone and thought we would have time to get them! H got them just begore i started pushing by which time it was too late for the music etc as i was concentrating. As long as your h knows your birth plan. On the name front you have 6 weeks to register them so no rush to decide. We've not got names really, we can only agree on one but I want some more options in case they don't look like that name.

BF - oh no, sorry you're feeling rubbish. Hopefully it is baby related rather than a bug or something.
Browny - sorry you had a down day yesterday. As bunny says, keep an eye on things and phone your MW if they get worse/no improvement. Try not to worry too much about having things done - I've kept my birth plan very simple and short this time around. I hadn't even thought about doing a playlist but I'm not that bothered to be honest. Just try to tackle one thing at a time. As for names, we have 3 that we can't decide on but we're going to wait until baby arrives before deciding. Can we help at all with any names?
Bunny - I've also been looking at exercises to turn baby (she's currently transverse) but I really don't fancy the upside down ones!
Well, F stopped crying and seems okay. Perhaps he's just not feeling himself. I was going to take him to the park but my head feels a bit strange. I can't describe it but it's I guess it's light-headedness and a bit of a headache. I don't want to venture too far in case I feel faint or something.

WG make sure you stay hydrated and eat if you feel funny. Hope you and f aren't coming down with a bug. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with a cheeky baby!

Hi Browny, I can empathise with the lack of motivation. I was very organised and doing and sorting stuff until last week, but now I'm just hanging around bored and waiting. I second the advice to call mw if you have headaches and swollen hands/feet though. Best to get checked.
Bunny, I have a funny image in my head now of you not on mat leave yet, trying to stick your bum in the air in an office. Now I have no idea if you are at work or not, or if you even work in an office, but it made me smile!
WG I don't feel bad as such and the sickness has gone now. It's just like TTC, furiously symptom spotting and actually wanting to feel unwell/in pain since it might mean something!
Baby is still very wriggly although I think it's moved position from one side to the other. I'll find out on Monday when the mw comes round I suppose. Meanwhile just bored, waiting, and counting down until my supposed "natural induction" with acupuncture at the hospital tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Bf its worse than an office as I'm a teacher! Off on summer holidays at the mo, but will be going back for 5 weeks.
14/08/2014 at 13:25
Whoops, just realised I was in the middle of typing a response when my mum skyped me!!
Good luck to Sue, hope her induction/section (sorry can't remember which!) goes smoothly
MrsL: Enjoy your dinner with your sister
WG: Glad to hear that F settled, it's awful when you've no idea what's wrong. Hope you get your nap & are drinking plenty
BF: It all sounds promising, hope the acupuncture is nice tomorrow, I wonder if that's just a local thing to you or if all NHS's offer it as I've never heard of it being offered on the NHS
Browny: Sounds like you're taking it all in your stride. No need to panic! It'll keep you busy without ever having to twiddle your thumbs & actually wait for the baby.
Bunny: I didn't think you needed to worry about the position on the baby at this stage. Mine was head up at my appointment last week (29 weeks), the student mw even showed me how to feel his head but said it was nothing to worry about!
AFM: I've stopped with the toilet training for now as she really wasn't getting it & I feel so much calmer today (got a bit emotional yesterday!). I've some tiding to do but I'm also intending to have a look at the playlist I made for my last birth. I never got to use it as I was in the room with the pool & there wasn't a plug, which was 1 the main reasons I wanted a home birth this time!! Hopefully there's not too much I need to do to it so that'll be 1 thing I've actually got ready. Can't believe I'm 30 weeks today, it's starting to get a bit more real!
14/08/2014 at 14:49
WG - hope youre feeling a bit better?
Barefoot - fingers crossed things get moving soon!
Browny - hope youre feeling a bit happier today
Bunny - hope baby moves for you, you still have time though
Blackkat - times is flying i cant believe it.
Having a weepy day today girls, no partiuclar reason just a bit teary. Works very stressful at the moment and I shouldnt care as I am leaving but its hard to just switch off!
14/08/2014 at 15:38
Bunny - thanks I know it's just all playing in my mind which stresses me out but then I CBA to do anything about it lol! I get bad acid reflux so I can sympathise about the heartburn and weighing up doing the positions! I hope they turn soon!
WG - glad F is better but sorry that you aren't feeling right. Hope it passes soon. I have days like that and you are doing the right thing taking it easy!
BF - hope the Acupunture works!
Blackkat - can't believe your room didn't have a plug! Mine better do!
MrsL - I have days like that and it's completely normal. Sometimes we just have to accept we're having a down day and tomorrow I'm sure you'll feel better.
I'm about to go for my massage - it's really needed as my back is killing me today! :)
14/08/2014 at 19:35
Bk the midwife said its nothing to worry about but thought that doing some of the simple exercises can do any harm! That's reminded me I need to sort out some music, something else to put on the list.
Mrs l hope you have managed to do something relaxing this evening to help with the stress levels.
Browny I hope you enjoyed your massage. We were told that we weren't allowed to use the plugs in the birthing rooms as they were for medical equipment. We got some little portable speakers that take batteries to take with us although a couple of rooms did have an iPod speaker in them.
