Hmph, still pregnant. Really thought I was having this baby at 39 weeks, So I'm a bit peeved to still be here! I'm seeing the midwife and having a sweep this morning, so hopefully that'll kick things off. I have to say I'm not hugely looking forward to the sweep, things down there are fairly swollen and sore (sorry for the tmi) so being poked isn't high on my "Mmm, that sounds like fun" list, but it'll be worth it if it gets her shifted! Otherwise I've naff all planned. Possibly try to sort my clothes out if the chest of drawers upstairs, move Jacob's clothes into it, and Attila's into the nursery. This plan will be slightly thwarted if H is painting the baby proofing over the stairs though as I can't squeeze the enormabump past the ladder and get up there.
Good luck to Wispa for your sweep too, and baby out vibes to you and WW.

SG tonnes of vibes for a successful sweep this morning , I hope it's worth it and you get to meet Attila very soon. What time are you there?
Sorry I didn't get on yesterday. Last day was lovely, a nice short day and they made a fuss of me in the office! It feels very weird to be on mat leave now. I'm getting my haircut later and then I'm picking my mum up from the airport for a few dats of mummy /daughter time.

Gutted to see you starting the thread this morning SG...not because it's not lovely to see you but because I was hoping Attila would be made an appearance for you. Hope the sweep does the trick for you.
Wispa - Good luck for your sweep too!
AFM - He napped!! He actually napped Fingers crossed for a repeat today, I felt so much better come the evening for a rest in the day, BUT I had a crap nights sleep to make up for it not much planned for today...off to feed the ducks this morning with a friend and her little girl who is same age as O, then when we get home potty training is commencing! Eek!! Wish us luck...I've been dreading this
Baby out vibes to all who need them xx

Imp - Glad they made a fuss of you and you'be got nice plans for the start of your leave with your mum. This is it now....a few weeks and baby will be here :-) x

Imp, aw, glad they made a fuss of you, that's lovely. Do you know whether you'll be going back post-baby? Enjoy your haircut and mummy time, sounds perfect for a first day of ml.
Coco, excellent news on the nap front, hope it continues! Sorry you had a rubbish nights sleep though. Good luck with the potty training, I'm dreading starting with J!

SG - good luck for the sweep, hopefully not too painful. Massive baby out vibes to you, as much as I want mine I don't want to queue jump so hurry up so me and Wispa can get started on ours!
Imp - yay for mat leave. I found my first week I had loads planned and didn't end up actually resting at all, but getting lots of rest now we're at the end.
Coco - yay for napping! Fingers crossed for potty training, I don't think I envy you. But feeding ducks will be nice.
AFM - woke up today and (TMI) struggled a lot to poop. There's not enough room for it to come out and I was getting sharp stabbing pains in my back. Don't know if that means lazy bones has finally engaged or she's just woken up at a dodgy angle but I went to the loo at 6 and the ordeal woke me up fully so now I'm already tired haha. Lower back still aching a lot, don't know if that's good sign or not. Also had very very mild period pains but only for half hour and they've already gone *sigh*. I've sent poor H to the shop to get me coco shreddies as they're heaven to me at the moment, and he's doing school run this morning and working in London today but having to go in late to fit in all the chores I've given him first, and he couldn't fall asleep until 2am so I think I'll have a misery guts on my hands tonight, but he's soldiering on this morning with a smile on his face :)

Morning All - huge baby out vibes to SG & Wispa - hope things get going soon!!
IMP - enjoy maternity leave and especially the time with your Mum - so precious just the 2 of you - after the birth it all changes and time on your own is history for a long time (but its meant in the nicest way!)
Coco - Thank God he napped!!! Sorry you slept poorly though! Good luck with the potty training - has your son been giving signs that he's ready? It can be hard work at the start but if they ''get it'' quickly very much worth it!!!
AFM - Good nights sleep here apart from the usual ichias backache and elephant-like tuning in the night I'm a back sleeper and desparately missing it :( Apart from that no news - waiting for the appointment tomorrow :) I think I'll wash all the baby clothes with the poo stains (you may have seen my other mail!) on the weekend as we are due sun and 30 degrees so if that does'nt get them out I'm throwing them away!!
Talk later xxxxx

Missed you there WW - wishing you a better start to the day and big thumbs up to your H!!!!
05/06/2014 at 08:24
WW - I don't want to get your hopes up but all of the things you've said we're things that happened when I went into labour. Instead of the famous clear it, I just completely struggled to go..turns out it was because O was engaged and on his way! Enjoy your shreddies....yummy!
Sue - test, he's showing all the signs...tells us when he's going, hates nappies, washing and drying his hands etc etc...so we decided no harm in giving it a go! If it doesn't work just yet then that's fine too though. Hope your appointment goes well and that the sun works it's magic on the baby clothes :-)

SG & Wispa - good luck with your sweeps today. I really hope it is successful for both of you :)
Imp - I'm glad they made a fuss of you. Have a lovely few days with your mum.
Coco - yay to napping! Good luck with the potty training!
WW - well done to your H soldering on like that!
Sue - glad you had a good nights sleep.
AFM - just had 2 days off with H where the weather was a bit cold and showery and now he's back to work and the sun is out and it's warm. I was going to do some cooking for the freezer but may just potter around the garden and enjoy the sun instead. Nothing much to report bump-wise, just the normal getting more achey and sleeping less as the days go on, but loving a hot water bottle on my back in the evenings!

SG - massive vibes for your sweep today. Really hope it goes well and Attila is here asap. Many many baby out vibes to you.
Imp - really glad you were spoiled, and now to enjoy mat leave! Have a lovely time with your mum (I'm sure you will).
Coco - yay for naps!! Hopefully you can crack getting nap time and a good nights sleep soon. Feeding the ducks sounds lovely and good luck with potty training, sounds like he's about ready for it though.
WW - sounds like something might be happening for you! How exciting. Enjoy the coco shreddies and I will send more baby out vibes to you too
Sue - hope the sunshine gets the staining out for you. Where on earth are you for it to be 30 degrees this weekend? Nowhere near me that's for sure.
Ixia - sorry the weather was a bit bum for your days off with H. I would defnintely choose garden over cooking if it's nice. You need to enjoy it while it lasts!
AFM - not much to report really. Feeling knackered today as I had a friend stop over on her way home from Scotland. Didn't go to bed til 11 which is the equivilent of being at an all night rave these days. Was a bit naughty and came in half hour late as no one is in the office today.... All good with baby, just counting down the days til we move and I can get cracking on the nursey!
Hi to those that follow x
05/06/2014 at 10:55
Coco - I'm scared that if I'm not empty I'll poop during labour lol probably the least of your concerns during but it's a huge fear at the moment!
Sue - I'm on laundry duty today as well, but nothing nice like diddy baby clothes, I've already done that and packed them away, I'm stuck with regular chores
Ixia - Sod's law the sun comes out as soon as he's back at work. Pottering in the garden sounds nice though.
Jonesy - so excited and jealous that you get to do your nursery soon. I'm still on the survey part of home buying and I'm desperate to get in and settle. Baby will be 6 weeks realistically by the time we're in so at least i guess if I have a c section I should deff be up and running by the time we move.
05/06/2014 at 10:56
Also if Wispa is off having a baby this morning I'm going to be very very jealous!
05/06/2014 at 11:21
WW - theoretically we could wait and do the nursery after Christmas but we've never lived anywhere we could decorate before and our baby stuff has all been kept in boxes so i want to go do something now! Survey isn't far off mind! It only took us 5 weeks from there to next friday but you're right, you'll have least had time to settle in with the baby and so it will be less stressful I presume? Hope yours hurries up for you but at least you have a good distraction coming from all the waiting haha

SG, good luck for your sweep, I hope it gets things moving for you. Come on Attila, get a wriggle on! Good luck with sorting the drawers.
Imp, so glad that you had such a lovely last day :) Your maternity leave sounds fab already, have a great time with your mum.
Coco, woohoo to nap time! Lots of luck with potty training and hope you sleep better tonight.
WW, ahh what a fab husband you have :) Hope the shreddies have hit the spot. Fingers crossed that your back pains progress into something more very soon.
Sue, glad you slept well. Fingers crossed for the sunshine today.
Ixia, definitely enjoy the sunshine today, cooking can wait!
Jonesy, so exciting that you can start the nursery soon! Hope you're having a nice and quiet day in the office to make up for your late night.
AFM, growth scan was fine yesterday. Baby is a whopping 5lb13 already! My hopes for a 6lber that I just sneeze out have disappeared lol!
Lots of baby out vibes to SG, WW and Wispa!! Come on babies!
05/06/2014 at 17:21
Sorry for coming on so late, I'm going to have to be quick.
SG, seen your sweep update on fb, but again I hope Atilla gets a move on!
Imp, so glad they spoiled you, I hope you have lots to keep you busy from now on :)
Coco, hooray for naps!
WW, I don't want to queue jump, either, but I won't be devastated if I do, just maybe slightly guilty. I am jealous of your coco shreddies, I love them! I've just got chocolate weetabix, which isn't quite as nice. And don't worry, I've not been off having my baby just yet ;)
Sue, I hate the elephant like turning at night, but glad you slept well anyways.
Ixia, definitely enjoy the sun, I hope you've had a great day even if you didn't do any cooking for the freezer.
Jonesy, I know how you feel about 11pm. My mom didn't get here until almost 11 last night and I was dead tired!
Fig, I saw the growth scan news before, but have to say they can be wrong about size, they quite often are. Counter thought she was having a 10-pounder and
Agnes ended up at 7 something 17 days over!
Phew, I said 'quick', but this window has been open over an hour now. Haha. Sweep this morning went well. Cervix is 1-2cm thick and 2cm dilated. The midwife was able to do the sweep and has given me a bishop score of 7, though she nearly said 8 but then said that the cervix was a bit too posterior still. Boo. So, all looking favourable especially given that they told me they expected they wouldn't even be able to reach anything since I was just due yesterday. So I've been out walking and bouncing on my ball and hoping for things to get going soon.
