The letter says I have to be there for 7.30am.
I know I will be bumped down the list should emergencies come in, but does anyone know the earliest sort of time I could possibly go down to theatre?

I think it's 9am. With N it was midday for me, I was last on the list of three. With A I went into labour the night before so I was first in at 8:30 which I was pleased about haha, there were only two of us though. No emergencies either time.

I had to be in for 7.30 too with both of my electives. They start taking people down to theatre around 9/9.30 I ended up being first on the list with C and he was born at 10.50. With O I think I was second onthe list and he was born at 11.52. With A I ended up being one of those 'emergencies' so I would have bumped the list. As she was prem I suppose things were a bit different but we went down around 9 and she was born at 10.26

Ooh, watching with interest for when it's my turn. I can see now that getting there early will not be fun with commuter traffic, even using the shortcuts!

We phoned in at 6.30 am and were told to arrive between 7.30-8.00am, we arrived at 7.45 and we were first in, P was born at 9.55am.

I was told I was second on the list and would be going down at 9.45 but obv didn't end up using that appointment x
Ps in my mind you are still about 12/14 weeks

I was first on the list and R was born at 10.22am, 2nd on the list had hers at nearly 5pm!

Alaina 2nd on the list had hers at nearly 5pm!
I wonder if they would let me go that long. I suspect with GD they wouldn't want me to go that long without eating.
22/05/2013 at 23:23
I had GD with R which I why I was 1st on the list so hopefully they wouldn't leave you that long. T was born just before 2pm but I knew that it would be around that time beforehand as my consultant was doing it.

Ah, that's good to know.
Just out of interest, how did they monitor your blood sugars before and during c section?
22/05/2013 at 23:59
Bms probably monitored hourly as I think ul have sliding scale of insulin so it would be hourly checks xx

I'm diet controlled still CP so not on insulin.
