Hi all,We are off to the Canaries soon with our almost 2 year old daughter. I haven't been there for years but always remember the sand getting extremely hot, I guess with it being black sand. I would like A to wear shoes on the beach and bought some cheap jelly shoes but now I'm worried that they might rub. What do you think? What do your little ones wear on the beach? I would like to get an additional pair for her anyway due to my irrational dislike of red and pink together (jellies are pink and some of her swimwear is red!)Also what are your experiences with UV suits for babies and toddlers? Are the suits good? I don't want A to get rashy whilst wearing one though. I have bought a few swimsuits and one UV suit so far. Thanks so much x

Mine have both had uv suits for the summer, never had any issues and I liked them being covered. Shoes wise I'd probably get crocs for the beach

E wears Crocs but she will take them off once she is on wet sand by the water. They have rubbed her as have any jelly shoes we have bought in the past. I see children wearing swimshoes a lot over here- Amazon. E ALWAYS wears UV suits in the summer here and she has never burned. We tend to buy them from Tesco/Sainsbury's too. I let her wear a normal swimsuit in the cooler months but we never go out to the beach or the pool in the middle of the day so she is less likely to burn. Why would she get a rash from them?
Bet you are excited!

Thanks! Not sure about the rash thing really, just thought if she gets hot and sticky....I'm sure she'll be fine! ;-)
Excited now, lots to sort. Going later this month. :-)
