in my first pregnancy I had SPD and it was SO painful from 22 weeks! I had the pelvic belt etc and started to follow the basic rules of keeping legs together etc when getting in and out of cars and doing all the stretches. I have also needed ongoing Physio every 4 weeks since having baby in 2016 to keep the pain at bay.
Now I am 7 weeks pregnant with my second baby and can already feel it creeping in, I’m doing my best not to lift my very clingy 22 month old, but it’s not easy!
just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to manage this early or try and delay the onset of it? Thanks all! X

Hey Emmy congrations on your new pregnacy I know where your coming from I have had SPD with both my pregnancys first being bad but bareable leading To my second that was not. Not the best thing you want too hear but I was told that it can get worse with every pregnacy in my opinion this is true I had it from 10 weeks in my last pregnancy and ended up being on crutches and barely even able to walk i was lucky as i had help with my 1 year old. I personally dident find the pysio belt to benifit me but everyone's different I dif find the crutch the cruches to be somewhat of a help i was also on painkillers. The only thing that really helped me was to try and keep my legs together as much as possible and to try and avoid stairs my case was really bad though in the end the consultant induced me early as i could barely walk and do anything. However as soon as my lo was born the pain eased so much.

Thank you so much for coming back to me Nay 🙂
I think I may be in that position too, I also found the belt was sometimes more painful than not wearing it and its hard to know what is the right thing to do in the long run. Having a very clingy nearly 2 year old also increases the pain and i wonder if I’m mad to do this a second time! 🙈 xx
