Hello ladies, how are we all? Ive been a bit AWOL on MD so I thought i would try and catch up with everyone. I still miss chatting to you all daily! :-)
E has just turned 7 months and i have no idea where that time has gone!
Weaning is going well, she loves her fruit! she can sit up really well now and i can leave her playing on her mat while i potter around with out the fear that she is going to tumble! She isnt rolling over yet but she has started trying to pull herself up when she is sat in her cot! H is convinced she isnt going to bother crawling and just start walking! ha ha!
she is really enjoying nursery, she seems to have made friends there and is lovely seeing her play with the other children when I pick her up. My conract ends in a few weeks and im not sure what i'll be doing then so I may be a full time mummy again for a bit! she seems to have discovered her vocal cords recently and the last couple of weeks has got very chatty!
She is still petite in relation to babies the same age, i think she has just inherited her dads height as well as his looks, smile and toes (he is 5 ft 4!) Im getting her weighed next week so will be interesting to she what she is now.
We had a little party for her last week, kind of a naming ceremony without the ceremony part, i just made a little speach. It was lovely to see so many people come for her!
here is a photo of her in her party dress for it!
Looking forward to hearing from you all and seeing some flashes!!

Hi mrs bass. Nice to read your update. Can you believe our babies are this big now? Time is flying by for sure. E looks gorgeous in that dress. Sounds like you're getting on well. It's nice that their little (or big!) personalities are beginning to show now.
Maya is almost 9 months old. She weighs 19.5 lb has 6 teeth and weaning is going well for us too. I purée wean which suits us both and she loves her food now although it took a while to get going. She started sleeping through at 8 months.
She started sitting unaided reliably about a month ago and she rolls everywhere. No interest in crawling or pulling up/walking. (Unlike her sister who took her first steps at 9.5 months.)
we had her christening in May with a little part afterwards.
I return to work in September and have dropped another day so I will work 2 days a week Therefore maya won't start nursery till January which Is when Isla gets her funded hours. We can't really afford to pay for them both to go. My parents will have them both whilst I work my two days.
She is such a happy baby and definitely more chilled out than her sister was as a baby. Her face lights up the room when her daddy comes home from work. It melts my heart.
it's just getting to the stage where the girls are starting to play with each other which is friendly most of the time untill Isla decides she doesn't want to share.
I look forward to reading updates from others, here's some recent pics xx

MrsB she is gorgeous! is she clapping in the 2nd photo!! we are working on waving at the moment! ha ha!
We are puree weaning too, i do a batch most sundays! Ive tried giving a few things like toast, pitta brea, scrambles eggs. somethings are fine but im still a bit scared of her choking!!!
it must be lovely to see both your girls playing with each other! 2 days of work sounds brilliant, would love to do that!!!

Oh ladies, your girls are just the cutest!!
Mrs Bass, how are you feeling about finishing up? Do you plan to look for something else?
MrsB that's so sweet the girls are playing together! How are you feeling about going back to work?
O is just a couple of days shy of 8months (it's crazy to even write that down!)
We are dairy and soya free but I'm getting the hang of what he can and can't have, we're also doing a mix of purée and finger foods which is going well as sometimes he wants to pick away at things and other times he just opens his mouth and wants spoon fed (literally!). He's completely caught up to the 'norm' for his weight and was 19lb when I had him weighed 2 weeks ago. He's been rolling for a couple of months and can cover a fair distance now! He's almost got the hang of crawling and has pushed himself back a couple of times so I think he may be on the go soon. We have tooth number three just cut through but he's really taken it in his stride.
His sleep has improved too and sleeps 7:30/8ish until 6:30/7am with a dream feed about 9:30pm (I need to give him a bottle about 7:30pm and just see if he sleeps through but it's working so well just now I'm scared to break it! I'm back to work next month which I have mixed feelings about, I'm sure it will all be fine when we're in our new routine.
He is a VERY smiley baby and everything is laughs and screams. Here's a couple of recent pics

Hi ladies! Gorgeous, gorgeous babies!
Mrs Bass - lovely that E enjoys nursery, must make you feel so much more at ease! Do you think you'll find a part time job?
MrsB- Sounds like a great balance with work, ideal that your parents are having the girls for now. M looks so grown up!
MDD- What will your working week be like? O looks lovely and happy! Good luck with dropping the dream feed when you decide to try!
Oliver is almost 9 months now, it's gone ridiculously fast! He's been so content, very laid back like his daddy! He eats really well, his favourite things are plums and nectarines! He'll eat anything though. He's desperately trying to crawl now, I don't think it will be long. He sleeps 7-6/7 which he's been doing for a few months now. Last weekend he cut his first 2 teeth which didn't seem to bother him luckily! Will try and upload a photo xx

Oops, not sure why it's sideways!
04/08/2014 at 22:03
Oh BE Oliver is a very handsome little man!
I'll be back 5 days, but I've cut back an hour a day to get home a bit sharper. I'll be away probably about 7:15am and home about 5:15 (I have a really long commute). Not ideal but it's how it has to be and we'll just get used to our new set up!xx
Oh and we so have the same livingroom carpet! And probably for the same reason...it doesn't show dog hair too badly!

It's so great to see all the (not so) babies, I can't believe they're so grown up, the past months have flown by, but also feels like a lifetime ago!
Mrs Bass (still thinking fish in my head) it's so great that nursery is going well. Good luck in getting a new contract (if that's the plan)
Mrs B, I bet it's lovely seeing the girls play together!
MDD, O is such a smiley boy! Hope the return to work goes well.
BE, O looks so cheeky in that pic.
E is now 6.5 months and if I could keep him at this age I would! We are also dairy and soya free, which hasn't made breastfeeding easy, but weaning has gone better than I'd hoped. I haven't yet given him a meal where he has stopped eating of his own accord yet, he really will eat anything and everything. He's still little, but very tall. He sits happily unaided but shows zero interest in rolling, although has been going from side to side in his cot tonight so maybe he will one day.
We have a chatty one. We are only at ba ba BA at the moment, but he will literally talk for hours! We have the bottom two teeth through and I spotted a white patch on his top gum today so they may not be too far away. He now sleeps around 11 hours at night, but day time naps awe still shocking. One step at a time though!

We flew to Majorca and he was as good as gold (at that point he barely slept). I bought him some baby ear defenders and he wore those for take off and landing.i fed in on take off and landing and he slept for an hour after that. Was much better than I thought it would be x

Mrs P that is so cute! i need to get her some ear defenders as we are going to Dorset Steam fair in a few weeks and she is going to her first of her Daddy's gigs! where did you get them from! Brilliant idea for the flight!
luckily she still settles really well sucking on a little ginger (although this can get painful now she has a tooth) so hopefully that will come in handy. she is so nosey though she'll want to see what all the new faces on the plane are doing!!

Ooooh just seen this. Can I join you all? Lovely to see how you and babies are all doing. Haven't we created a beautiful bunch?
Mrs Bass - E is looking lovely in her little flowery dress there, she sounds like she is growing up quickly.
MrsB - Hi DD buddy. Great to hear that Maya is doing so well. She is such a cutie and gorgeous big eyes in that second picture. I can't believe she has 6 teeth already! Wow. It's great that she is sleeping through now.
MissDD - O is looking very handsome. He looks like a happy chappy. Sounds like he will have got the hang of crawling very soon
BE - Oliver looks so grown up on his car. He seems to be thriving.
MrsP - 6 1/2 months is such a lovely age. We seem to have some good sleepers here don't we. That's good that he is such a good eater.
Dexter is 9 months this Friday. I can't believe how quickly it is all going. He is such a cheeky boy, really sociable and always smiling and laughing. He is very nosey like his mummy and loves to people watch. He hasn't learn't the art of being discreet with that yet though. He babbles a lot. Mainly Dada and Baba but he may have started saying his first word...........poo!
He is sitting, rolling and doing his own version of a commando crawl now. So is absolutely everywhere! He also likes to stand up and walk around the room with me or his Daddy holding onto his hands. He is really tall but quite skinny so I think he will play basketball like his Daddy.
He is a good eater, he loves laughing cow cheese, bread and strawberries.
I'm working from home at the moment which I love because I get to spend more time with him. Although I do look forward to having 5 minutes when he has gone to bed to just relax. He has started sleeping through now but only been doing it for a short while so I'm hoping it sticks.
He has two bottom teeth and I think his top two will be coming through very soon.
Here he is on his swing today
In the garden
And here we are together
