Hi Mrs Bass, great to hear from you. Evie sounds like such a lovely energetic little girl. I love the fact that she dances to the strictly theme tune. We had a party for Dexter as his birthday was on a Sat. We had balloons, cake, buffet food and a lady from tiny talk baby signing that sang songs and had toys etc. It was a bit extravagant for a 1st party really. But he's only 1 once!
Dexter is 12 months now and so active. He doesn't like to stay still. Constantly on the go. No sign of walking yet but he's very fast at crawling. He's got quite vocal in the past week or so. He loves saying "my mama" and shouting Dada at the top of his voice. He can also sign milk, sleep, phone, thank you and more. It's unbelievable how quickly they grow up isn't it?
This is Dexter on the right and his cousin on the left. Sorry it's so big and in a strange place. I'm on my phone

Hi ladies so nice to hear from you. Evie sounds adorable Mrs Bass and what a cute pic of Dexter MS.
How are our babies turning 1 already it's been the quickest year ever. Maya is pretty chilled out, eats anything and sleeps all night. She's very affectionate and will crawl up to us for kisses and cuddles. I love this as Isla doesnt sit still long enough for cuddles. She was 1 on the 10th and Isla was 3 on the 6th so we had a joint party with a bouncy castle, face painter and bubble man. More for Isla really but maya enjoyed it too, was nice to have everyone together.
Maya is a proficient crawler but no signs of walking yet. She'll pull her self up and jig about but no steps Just yet. She has 8 teeth and has had her booster jabs today :-( hoping I don't have a grumpy baby tomorrow.
I went back to work two days a week in September. My mum and dad have the girls when I work. Maya will start nursery one morning a week from January so we have settling in session coming up. although she doesn't need to go to nursery i do think it does wonders for their social skills and confidence. It certainly did for Isla.
For the most part the girls love each other but when they're having a bad day they can wind each other up. Isla struggles to share her toys which causes major melt downs from maya when she can't have something she wants. God help us when they're teenagers!! Saying that I do love having two girls. I know they'll be friends for life.
Hi to any other tri buddies that follow. I'll try adding some pics. They'll probably come out huge. xxx

Lovely to hear from you both!
mummysimpson that's really impressive with his signing, I never stuck with it!
Evie says "dada" quite a lot, sometimes in context and I think how clever she is to be able to be trying to say Daddy and other time not in context at all!
How is the pregnancy going? are you finding it any different to when you were pregnant with D?
MrsB, that is lovely that they can have joint parties! I would love to have face painting and a bouncy castle!! Think we are just having tea and cake (and some fizz for the mummies and daddies) im inviting family and her Odd parents and our NCT gang. AS it is 2 days before Christmas, im sure not everyone will come though!
ha ha, that's just how sisters are isn't it?
Glad to hear its not just E who is full of energy!
Ive tried adding a photo on my work pc, laptop at home and my phone and had no success so im going to try and link to facebook! If this works, it is a photo of her in her first pair of big girl shoes that she is trying on whilst still in her PJs! ha ha!

How lovely to see this thread! I haven't been on here for months and just popped in to have a nosey so it's great to see how all the babies are doing one year on.
Alex turned 1 at the beginning of the month, he had a Halloween themed party with his friends seeing as that was his due date. He has suddeny become a little boy rather than a baby and his personality is really coming out now, he loves smiling and waving at people and it takes us longer to get around the shops now than it did when he was a squishy newborn because so many people have to stop and talk to him! No walking yet but he cruises well and loves zipping up and down the kitchen with his push along walker. He says hiya, boo, uh oh, no (not so keen on that one ;) ) and babies constantly although who knows what he's saying. I went back to work part time in June so he goes to nursery 3 days a week (started in September) and is really thriving there although he does have a constant cold which is a pain. Thursdays and Fridays when I'm not at work are the best days of the week.
Here are a couple of recent photos of my cheeky chops, probably sideways in typical md tradition!

Our update... so Ru is nearly 13 months now, how did that happen? He started walking just before his 1st birthday and rather scarily is not running, jumping and climbing. He is a constant chatter box, although he only has a handful of actual words, but doesn't stop babbling all day long. Rather cutely, he's started talking to himself in different voices. He still adores all the animals especially the horses - I think because he's allowed to pat them, but gets told 'no' if he 'pats' the long suffering cats! Below are photos from his birthday party and a few days later, cheesy grins using one of our new slings.
