Well this had better not become a habit , today it's 4.54
how is everyone I can't believe how busy we are. When does 3rd tri start?
no appts today, but consultant tomorrow!
midwife yesterday told me to start sorting my bags, this seems a bit extreme no?
hi to all who follow!
14/01/2014 at 06:30
Monnie, urgh, 4.54 is just unpleasant. I don't think you need to sort your bag just yet, definitely a bit extreme. Unless there's an actual reason they think you might go into labour early I'm sure 35 weeks is early enough! Midwife is possibly being a little over-eager there.
I'm up as J is up. 5.45- better than 4.54, but still too early. He didn't sleep through either, gah, I knew it was too good to last! I'm off today with J, so toddler group this morning and meeting a friend+toddler for soft play this afternoon.
Good luck to those having scans today- Wispa and is it leelee? If I've got that wrong I'm sorry, tired+ babybrain! AR, I hope you're feeling loads better today, that sounded scary yesterday.

Monnie? Sorting bags? She's keen. Or crazy! Lol. So you're officially an early bird now huh?! :)
Oh SG, so the decent nights were shortlived. Sorry to hear that! Maybe today is the blip and tomorrow will be fine...?!
AFM, tired as usual. Always tired ha ha. Left work on time yesterday, that was novel. Came home and did a load of sorting out, there's stuff everywhere with emptying 3 rooms at once, plus unopened parcels galore of curtains, wallpaper, changing table, fabrics, the list is long. After putting on a tonne of weight in first tri thanks to my nausea-driven beige food obsession I'm managing to stay pretty static these days, thank goodness! Right, need to get shifting and get to work ASAP.
Think this is my last day here. Don't want to go! Not ready to think labour and babies just yet :)

AR, a relaxing time for you and P is good for you both sometimes. And you may have to do it more and more as pregnancy progresses, please don't feel bad!

Morning you early birds!
Mon sorry you keep waking up, it drives me mad when that happens to me. I hope you manage to sleep through tonight.
SG I hope you get a better sleep too. Enjoy your day today.
AR sorry about yesterday, I hope your hips start to feel a bit better over the day. Although if you're at work I would guess that's not likely.
Counter glad to hear you left on time for a change. Have you been eating back to normal in second tri? It's like someone had flicked a switch with me and I can eat anything again, it worries me slightly re hormones etc but I'm glad to be able to eat out again!
AFM- I had a great day yesterday. Went swimming at lunch which is the first exercise I've done in months, the first tri was tough for me but I've got no excuses now so I'm going to try and go 3 times a week and keep active whilst I can. It tired me out and I slept straight through.
Good luck to Wispa and leelee today!
Eeek, I'm an orange!

Imp, some of 2nd tri was great, energy back etc. Definitely a good idea to do what you're doing and make the most of it! I still get nausea some days, plus bad heartburn, one makes me crave crisps and bread and the other gets much worse if I do, ha ha!
14/01/2014 at 08:06
Ha! So defo make the most of this then.
14/01/2014 at 08:17
Monnie - Core blimey! Whats getting you up so early? Gosh, that does seem extreme to me but I guess if you have it all then no harm in preparing it? Perhaps that is all they are thinking.
Spikey - Enjoy your day with J.
Autumn - Thats not bad mummy! You needed to rest and I bet she had a great time playing on your lap!
Counter - Can't believe you're off to 3rd tri tomorrow..... how exciting! We really do cross paths!
Imp - Glad you enjoyed swimming. I've just got a glimmer of hope from your post - are you starting / feeling better now? I *think* I might be getting better, I managed to eat sweet and sour chicken with rice for dinner last night which is just a miracle, a) that I even fancied it and b) I kept it down. But then I felt rough all night and have been sick as usual this morning. I asked H to get me a Twix the other day too, he said 'you must be feeling better'! I've not wanted chocolate for ages.... and I am one of the biggest chocoholics ever! :)
Counter - (Can you tell I write my replies as I go through reading!) - You know how you said you get heartburn? I've had this pain in my right side just where my bra sits, it hurts when I turn or say roll over in bed etc. I need to take deep breaths every now and then which again is when I notice that it is quite painful. Does that sound like heartburn? I'm use to indigestion but not this.... don't know what it is and the only thing I could think of is heartburn! I've had it for over 12 hours now.
AFM - We are staying at IL house (they are on holiday) whilst our bathroom is fitted. They have such a comfortable bed, I slept from 8.30pm! I was up early being sick though so I decided to just come into work which means I can get away a little earlier. We need to go and pick our bathroom flooring so that can be put down tomorrow. Baby related nothing to report. I had to buy some baby clothes for our unborn nephew yesterday though..... I needed to get it out of my system and buy some cute baby clothes! They are super cute!
WOW - A LEMON!!! (Imp I think we will do this every week won't we? Hehe!!) x

Hi pep, yes I'm feeling a bit better now. I actually fancy proper food again and I do t really feel sick, just occasionally. I've been getting a bit of heartburn too, it's painful.
How are you decorating your bathroom? Colours etc?
14/01/2014 at 08:45
Imp - We are just having a white suite put in, white tiles around the bath / shower, I did contemplate blue mosaic tiles to add some colour but I'm not sure if that is actually happening now! H wants to pain the walls light blue.... I'm not sure about this.... Not sure about the floor, will have to make that decision tonight. H & I are terrible, we are so laid back and just don't put enough thought into stuff like this! My only requirements were that I wanted to put a 'sea / beach' theme to it - so have got some bits from Dunelm Mill that sort of fit into this theme; www.dunelm-mill.com/.../maritime-blackout-roller-blind-201580. Its our brother in law fitting the bathroom....so he has been quite patient with us not having a clue so far! ;) We are only replacing it because our old bathroom had been fitted incorrectly so the shower / bath kept leaking and it ended up ruining our floor :( Still, its something we have been meaning to do for a couple of years now so nice to tick it off the list!

Morning everyone :)
Monnie - not good you are waking up so early, are you worried about anything to keep you up? Bag packed already? I hope the mw was just being very cautious! Good luck with your consultant appt tomorrow, we had our first one on Thurs last week.
SG - I hope J and you have a good day today and thanks for the scan mention, you were right :)
AR - I hope you are ok today apart from your hips, that sounds very uncomfortable. I hope your day is ok.
Counter - sorry to see you leave but good news you are progressing in the right way :) You aren't the only one that's tired, I fell asleep watching Corrie again last night haha
imp - good to hear you had a good day and the swimming sounds great, wish I had the energy and not all this blubber then perhaps I would have a go haha, I used to be a good swimmer when I was slimmer :) Have a good day and thanks for the scan mention :)
Pep - exciting times picking flooring, I love anything to do with decorating or planning a room, we've just put up new blinds and curtains in our lounge and I love em it really transforms the room but we still need to buy some carpeting and new sofas. The buying of cute baby clothes, I can't wait :)
AFM - scan day today eeeek! Fingers crossed, all going well we will find out if we are gonna be Mummy and Daddy to a son or daughter :) :) Still very nervous and my tummy won't settle down and I have bad heartburn yuck as well as the awful taste in my mouth (still) and now it also tastes of blood double yuck! I hope the scan is ok and they don't find anything wrong, here I go again being a worrier/pessimist gahhhh :(
Best of luck to you Wispa and hope to see an update later xx

LeeLee & Wispa - BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR SCANS!!!!! :) Make sure you come back with photos!!
14/01/2014 at 08:58
Hi Pep, short-lived as tri-buddies... I'm hoping to be long gone when you move up as would quite like baby to pop out on due day, ha ha! What you're describing, the exact position, for years I have had something on my left side like that, but only when I am at my heaviest, and never really got to the bottom of it. It's really painful though! It feels as though it's a rib thing, to me, though it's not. I'm sure it's a variant of indigestion. But it's not the heartburn I'm getting now. That does not help you at all!
LeeLee, good luck with scan, looking forward to you updating! :)
14/01/2014 at 09:05
Counter - It does! I think it probably is indigestion - just a milder type to what I'm use to! Which suits me just fine! Ha! Hopefully baby will arrive on due date. When are you finishing work? I hear being relaxed helps baby come on time....! :)

Monnie- That does seem a bit extreme! I am gettijg bits and bobs then will have a bag ready from 30 weeks i think.
SG- God thats early! Hope you have a nice day and J sleeps through tonight for you.
AR- sorry your not feeling great. Dont feel bad for resting, if you are in pain you need to. Hope your not too sore today.
Counter- yay to leaving on time, is that a first?! Last day! 2nd tri has gone so fast!
Imp- Swimming sounds great. I had been meaning to be all these weeks later and I still havent! Second tri I mainly felt great but also the tiredness hit me again so make the most of your energy!
Pep- Hope the sickness has now eased, atleast you can leave work a tad early!
Leelee- Good luck today! Let us know how you get on. What time is your scan?
Wispa- Good luck for your scan :)
AFM- Feeling better today, yay. Baby wise all good, she was kicking away yesterday afternoon and then I started singing in the car on my way home and she stopped, think she decided that sleeping was better than listening to that! Quiet night in with H tonight and then a pre bday meal with some of my friends tomorrow.

I hear being relaxed helps baby come on time....! :)
I hear being relaxed helps baby come on time....! :)
Oh jeez! With Harry I worked less than a week of the pregnancy in total. I was physically a wreck and it was an active job so I was on SSP for the duration. Hated that. Plus he then had the nerve to be 17 days late!
This time I'm due on a Tuesday and my mat leave starts on the Monday (day before). Hoping for no 'going in to labour at work' stories. But work de-stresses me and I enjoy it, and I'm not good at being at home so although some time doing nothing would be lovely, I am sure this is the right route for me, and more days off to have after when baby is here :)

Counter - Definitely, you have to do what is right for you!
