Gosh it's quiet!!
I'm feeling brighter today after a full nights sleep! Waiting for the midwife to call to book my first sweep! Any tips for getting baby out??? Tried curry, walking and sex so far!

Morning Kapowski! Tons of baby out vibes to you! Raspberry leaf tea, pineapple and bouncing on a fit ball? Hope you aren't waiting too much longer!
Getting more and more fed up and I'm only 33 weeks! I'm just sick of being in pain and feeling useless. My head also feels like mush and I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing to get ready for baby! Health visitor is coming today, other than that just going to try and relax these hips to try and reduce the pain. My sister is having a hard time of it as she has mastitis and my nephew has colic. So I'm trying to help as much as I can.
Hello to everyone else! X

Aww sounds like you are having a rough time of it Browny, hope your hips start to feel better soon x

K I heard pineapple but like a whole one so that might not be so practical. Have your walks included hills? Someone said that was good. Otherwise just keep doing what you're doing!! Have you got a preferred day for the sweep or just ASAP?
Browny - sorry your hips are so bad. I'm not surprised you're fed up. My hands are becoming painful 24/7 so I know how you feel about being sick of being in pain! Have u got anything left to get for baby? I think we're ready so my prep is just resting and some light tidying. I think if you feel poo and you don't have anything specific you need to be doing then just do what you need. Even if that means lying about all day.
AFM - didn't sleep well last night so I'm having an extremely lazy day. I need to do a bit more kitchen cleaning eventually but I'm not going to rush it. My feeding pillow arrived today. I was in two minds as to whether I needed one but I'm glad I bought one now, it's huge!!
No to those that follow and I hope the induction is going well ixia!! Loads of luck to you xx
Was expecting to have a mountain of posts to reply to here but it's a bit tumbleweed on the whole for MD isn't it?
K - Hope MW can fit you in soon ...I'm not convinced by baby out methods but people swear by sex, curry, pineapple, walking and bouncing. I think I just ate so much food before O arrived I forced him out space wise. Hope baby gets the memo and arrives soon.
Browny - sorry to hear you're struggling, I don't think the humidity of late helps much either. I'm finding this time so much harder than 1st time round, when I was mainly pregnant over Autumn/Winter. Hope the rest does the trick. Lots of vibes to your sister also.
AFM - 1 month to go (and counting!) otherwise not a lot to report baby wise. MW tomorrow and if still measuring big I'll be sent for a growth scan but tbh I measured 2 weeks bigger every time with O and he was a distinctly average 7lb 9 so not convinced measuring big means anything! Today is just a fairly chilled day...baking and playing with O x

Jonesy - I am going to use my dream genii pillow for feeding I think, bought a chair on ebay which we are picking up tonight. Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well, hope a day of rest sorts you out! No hills on my walks, it's quite flat round here!
Coco - I'm not sure how accurate bump measuring is, everyone is so different! I've got some raspberry leaf capsules but the guy in the shop said that I should have been taking them for the whole of the last trimester as they don't bring on labour as such, they make the muscles contract and therefore stronger for labour. Every day is a school day! He said to take double the dosage (4 capsules a day) and hope! I've got a ball so will spend some time on that today too.

Jonesy - I've got a few bits to buy, got all the main things really. I just keep thinking there must be something I've forgotten, or something around the house I'm supposed to do etc. I'm still waiting for my cleaning nesting instinct to kick in lol. Sorry you had a bad night. Rest up if you need to!
Coco - hope the mw goes ok and she isn't too concerned. Like you say it's not very accurate anyway! Enjoy your baking - I really want cake now!
Health visitor has just gone. Spoke about my depression and risk of PND, which got me upset and now I feel like an idiot for getting upset :( she was lovely though.

Coco - time is going fast eh?! You baking anything nice? I've bought all the stuff for a cherry and coconut cake so the plan is to do that tomorrow. Hope baby is measuring ok but at least an extra scan means another chance to say hello!
K - I don't have any other sort of pillow and thought a normal one would do. H convinced me to get one and I'm glad I did now. I might try sleeping with it too. I find it really uncomfy on my side now. Does your dream genie help with that? I have done nothing today and feel a bit bad about it..
Browny - is there a higher chance of pnd or is it just something you're worried about? Don't feel like an idiot though. If you're getting upset it shows you care which makes you a good mum I would say. At least if you've spoken about it now there will be support waiting for you if you need it. You may also get there and not need any at all. Big hugs xx

Jonesy - sorry we cross posted earlier and I missed you! Hope you've had a nice restful day....I think the pillows fo make life a big easier but as BF didn't work for me last time I found other uses for it instead...great for helping to prop up little ones when they're learning to sit ;-)
Browny - I has experienced depression before I was pregnant with O (was on ADs etc)but I just want to assure you I had no such problems once O arrived and haven't so far since. It's great that you've told your HV though as it means there'll be more support there for you should you need it. They won't think bad of you...so so many people are effected these days with all the stresses life throws at us so it doesn't make you weak or a bad person....In fact strong for having spoken about it *hugs*

And best of luck to Ixia on her induction today...really hope you'll soon be meeting your little lady! My phone is at the ready ;-)

Jonesy - I love my dream genii, wouldn't have paid full price for one though!!
Browny - I hope everything is ok, no experience of depression myself but feel that opening up to your HV and talking about it is a great positive step and will ensure that if you do need any support it will be there x

Kapowski, try using a breast pump if you have one. It's what did it for me!!
15/07/2014 at 18:17
Damn it I don't have one yet!
15/07/2014 at 18:36
Jonesy - I have a higher risk because of my history so they will just keep a close eye on me after the birth. Thanks for the hugs! :)
Coco - thats reassuring to know, thanks for sharing your experience :)
Kap - thanks :)
Good luck to Ixia also! Hope things progress quickly for you! Xxxx
