Been very quiet on here recently, hope everyone is well.
Congratulations to Bunny her safe arrival x x
I met with my mw yesterday & feel a lot better about my home birth now as I think she understood where I was coming from this time rather than her dictating to me. She's written an additional set of notes to go with my birth plan. It's quite amusing that's she's written that I might refuse some monitoring & that she'll write that in my notes (as if that'll put me off if I feel she is over monitoring me & disturbing the flow of my labour which will hinder the progress of my labour) & that I wish to get in the pool before the recommended 5cm. Does read a bit like a naughty child's school report! She's arranging for the SOM (supervisor of midwives) to contact me to arrange a meeting (if it's not too late) to go through things. She's also given me a copy of the homebirth guidelines & a guidance sheet on homebirth (bit late in the day but better late than never!!).
Saw her again for 38 week check (a few days early) & baby is fine. Heart rate was a bit fast but she wasn't worried he's also face up rather than facedown (again not a worry) so need to get bouncing on my ball. She also took blood as my iron was low at last bloods 10 weeks ago, if it's too low I can't have my homebirth, fingers crossed I've done enough to get it up.
Positive news, our pool is up so I think we're ready for when baby decides to arrive but haven't had any aches or pains so not looking imminent!
Take care all x x

Hi BK, I'm glad your appointment went well with the MW and things are good to go with your home birth. Hopefully your iron levels have increased x
Nothing much to report from me, just plodding along. Baby girl has been kicking about loads, especially at 3am which wakes me up, and I keep pulling a muscle in bump which is unbelievably painful. Slowing getting bits sorted and may have to order some bits from Ikea so I got somewhere to store all the kids' clothes. I must phone the GPs to arrange my 34 week MW appointment and my flu/whooping cough jabs.
Hope everyone is ok,

Bk - sounds like it's all systems go for you! Hopefully not long now
DS - hope you manage to get all your storage bits.
Afm, huge panic yesterday over section dates, so phoned my consultant and he seen me today and I have my date , and he was fine to let me have it at 38 weeks thank god. Growth scan on Thursday hopefully she will still be a girl and growing well lol. Feels weird to have my date, although I could go into labour like I did with Isaac I suppose, mw mentioned a quick discharge too which will be fab if I can get it again fingers xd.
Building work wise o how I have shouted this past week! Endless issues with council/delivery of brick/weather etc etc etc, However.....I currently have 2 very nice men who are working their little socks off in the rain, Iv made them toast, soup, endless cups of tea, and they are working their way through my biscuits. I'm
Hoping by feeding them there may be no further issues .
Take care all

Well I guess it's time I came and joined in with you all over here....
BK - glad things are falling into place for your homebirth. I hope your iron levels are behaving themselves.
DS - hope you manage to find some nice storage.
TRF - eeek, how exciting having your date now! Not sure what's been going on with the builders, but I'd be encouraged to continue working to get some more biscuits. Good persuasion technique!
AFM - well, I can't quite believe I'm in 3rd tri already. Baby is very active and enjoys having a good fidget/kicking session. Other than my hospital bag, which I'm trying to think about and remember when I should start sorting that out, we're pretty much sorted. I just need to wash M's Moses basket/stand, play gym & car seat cover then I think we're as ready as we can be.
