Oh Coco how scary for you. I hope all three of you are okay x
Afm - I'm 6+2 today and I found out yesterday my colleague is 13 weeks pregnant - this is going to be amazing if my pregnancy works out or absolute hell if something goes wrong. Even more keen to see something on my early scan now. It can't come soon enough!!
14/01/2014 at 08:51
Oh gosh coco how scary, hope you're all ok
PS, Indeed that could either be fab or awful, but I'm sure everything will be fine! When's your scan?
Afm, think this is my last week in tri 1 as am 13+1, nothing really to update except wow I'm peeing loads in the night, am up at least twice each night - what will it be like in 3rd tri lol!x

Sorry I didn't manage to get back on yesterday, had friends round yesterday evening, so couldn't get back on.
Coco, that must have been super scary. hope you take it easy today.
PS. When is your scan? It'll be nice to have someone at work to relate to, try and think of it that way for now.
AFM I'm four weeks today, so I am thinking of that as 10% there! I'm starting to feel a bit ropey in the mornings, nearly threw up on the Tube this morning, nice. Booked a doctor's appointment for next Thursday too. Still bloomin' nervous about every single slight twinge though!

Coco - hope you got a good nights sleep and rested yourself, I cant imagine how scary that would be. Have you tried a hot water bottle on your back?
PurpleStar - Will be lovely to have the support of someone so close to you! All will be fine, have faith. When is your scan?
ChocolateOrange - Your last week before your graduate :) Do you get back to sleep ok after you are up to pee?
I was sick again this morning - before I left the house, not on the train thankfully. My boss is off for a few days so at least when I feel awful I can get up & go for a walk outside etc without feeling I am taking advantage! Was in bed last night at 730pm, watched Sherlock & was asleep for shortly after 9pm. Im up at 6am every morning so I really need to get to bed early. Its awful to wish these weeks away but I am really looking forward to feeling somewhat ok again.
Hi to all who follow!

Coco - you poor thing, definitely rest up. Baby is well cushioned in there.
PS - hope the scan rolls around quick for you!
CO - apparently our kidneys get more efficient so we need to wee more in 1st tri?! In 3rd tri it's more the baby pushing against the bladder. I remember right at the end when the baby drops and stops pressing there and it feels so good!
Gavi - think of twinges as good, your uterus needs to stretch and expand ready for the baby to grow :)
AFM - got someone coming to look at our fireplace today and hopefully get started on replacing it. It's old and crap, would be good to get it done and then get our flat valued. Going to take A to playgroup first. Nothing to report pregnancy-wise!

Missed you SaSaSi - hope you feel ok today. Commuting with MS is horrendous, I threw up in a bush outside the local YMCA once and felt like people thought I was a drunk!
14/01/2014 at 09:37
Sorry not doing personals I've my snuck on my phone at work! My scan is Thursday 23rd at 7.35pm - I think by my dates I'll be 7+4 x
14/01/2014 at 10:33
PS - Have every faith all will be ok for you, roll on next week for your scan! I know the waiting game is horrid, I'm itching for my scan date!
CO - The weeing does ease off a but, at the moment til you have a proper bump everything is squish in a small area too...I found as my bump got bigger the weeing lessened ( until trampolining baby arrives in 3rd trip at least!)
Gavi - sorry you're feeling a but poorly...hope it subsides quickly.
SaSaSi - you poor thing. Hope the sickness goes soon for you. I haven't used hot water bottles as they're not advised during pregnancy (raising of body temp can be harmful for baby)
Saisi - Enjoy playgroup! Hope fireplace isn't too costly or difficult to replace. When are you hoping to move? Ours I'd looking like April time.
14/01/2014 at 11:51
Morning girls, mind if I join in? Had an early scan this morning and everything is ok so finally feel able to post on here :)
Coco - sorry to hear about your fall, how are you feeling today? Try and rest as much as possible.
PS - lovely about your colleague! I know how much the time drags until that first scan, really hope you manage to distract yourself so it goes quickly for you.
CO - hello! Last week of first tri how exciting! I get up to pee loads anyway, so since pregnant I get up every couple of hours. At least I'm used to having disturbed sleep!
Gavi- good sign if you're MS is starting! Commuting on the tube must be the worst.
SaSaSi - I had an early night too but woke up at 3:30am and couldn't get back to sleep! Got up at 5am, then went to bed at 6am to try and get some sleep in before getting up at 7am. I think that was more from nerves about my scan though! Not sure how I'll get through the day :/
Saisi - are you planning on moving before the baby is born? We're hoping to move up north (currently live in Surrey) but not sure how its going to work yet!
AFM: I'm going to start allowing myself to believe this now! I have had so many more symptoms than last time, constantly eating to curb the sickness. I saw my GP yesterday so he's sending off a referral to the hospital for an early scan (I was on clomid) so hoping that doesn't take too long to come through but at least I've had the private one to put my mind at rest for now. Also gave my details to the GP to pass on to the midwife, who I spoke to last time but never got to meet due to the MMC. Its starting to feel real! Does anyone else get splitting headaches? It is normal is pregnancy?
14/01/2014 at 11:54
*Just peaking in* Yay to you joining these threads Browny! Glad everything is going well :) Headaches are normal, I didn't have them but I read in numerous places that they were common.
14/01/2014 at 12:00
Hi Browny!!! Soo good to see you here!!!
Splitting headaches have been one of my worst symptoms - My doc told me to take low dose paracetamol 2-4 times a day, I only gave in at wkend though. Has helped marvellously so please do not suffer like I did! Great news about your scan!!
Saisi - you ever considered a wood burner stove? We put one in last year and its amazing, absolutely love it.
Coco - I have been using hot water bottles! Opps I didn't know! Wont anymore though. THanks!
Just wanted to quickly wave at Browny, good to see you in here :)

Hello everyone. Busy thread already.
My HCG bloods came back and they went from 6000 to 12,000 last weds to Fri so that's all good. I imagine they are in the 20,000's by now and I still feel fine (I'm going to regret saying that at some point I am sure!). Another scan tomorrow, praying the wee sprouts have grown.
Hi Browny - Lovekh to have you hear
PS - Not long until your scan now!
SaSaSi - Sorry you're feeling so sick.
CO - Last week - Eeeek!
Saisi - very jealous about the fireplace. I do miss having one.
Coco - Hope you're ok after your tumble. Poor back!
14/01/2014 at 12:11
Great news Ducky :) xx
14/01/2014 at 12:17
Pep - hello and thanks :)
SaSaSi - thats good to know. I didn't know they did low dose paracetamol, what dosage have you been taking?
Counter - hello lovely!
Ducky - good luck for tomorrow!
14/01/2014 at 13:42
My doc told me 500mg was ok to take - I use dissolvable ones. Really does make such a difference!
14/01/2014 at 13:59
Ah ok so one tablet. I try not to take paracetamol unless absolutely necessary so that when I do take them they make a difference (I'm quite a headachey-person) but think I need to take some as my heads been killing me.
I'm so tired today - possibly something to do with being awake since 3:30am! Got an important meeting at 4pm so must stay awake! They're talking about possible redundancies - I hate my job so not really that fussed either way tbh! I hope my pregnancy doesn't make a difference in their decision (I've already told my boss and he indicated it might influence 'what happens with me' - he's not very PC lol) as I'm worried they might not make me redundant as they probably know I wont go back after maternity leave (if everything goes ok) so cheap way to get rid of me :/
14/01/2014 at 14:32
Ah I am not a headachy person at all so I think that's why Im finding them such a struggle! Ive only taken 2 today (up since 6am) and I use that 4Head stuff as well which provides relief for 15/20 mins.
Do you think you would get much of a package? That would be so lovely (seeing as you hate your job anyway!). I know what you mean about bosses who are not PC lol. When would they be making the decisions, is your boss one of the decision makers? You obviously know they cant make your redundant because you are pregnant?
What is your job, if you don't mind me asking? What do you not like about it?
14/01/2014 at 15:15
I wouldn't get much - been there 7 years, since I was 21, so it would work out about £3k I think - statutory as I doubt they'd offer anything else. They'd also have to give me 7 weeks notice, so 2 months pay there as well at least. I'm not sure really, assuming we'll find out in the meeting my boss just gave me a heads up so I'm not shocked in the meeting. My work are so useless at everything so unlikely to get their arses into gear very soon, so might time quite nicely actually. I was planning on leaving at the first possible date I can (i.e. 11 weeks before due date plus any holiday) so we can move up north.
I'm a criminal solicitor, so with all the legal aid cuts etc it was inevitable as we're a medium sized high street firm. Its either quit now or invest a lot to expand hugely to make any money and I don't think they have the balls to do the latter. I hate a lot about my job, I just don't love it anymore and you really need to to represent the people we do, jump through hoops for them when they pay us next to nothing and get up at 2am to go down to the police station to represent someone and then be in work the next day. Its just not worth it for the money we get it really isn't. Its not just the government screwing us over, although not being valued is a de-motivator, I just don't like what I do either. I've had enough already and I've only been qualified 3.5 years so I know I wont be able to do it in the long-term. I love the law and admin side, just not the advocacy and practical side of it which I didn't expect! I've been wanting to get out for a while now, I've just not known what I want to do and hoped I'd get pregnant in the meantime, which didn't happen.
Sorry that turned into a mini rant/essay!
