I thought I'd get the ball rolling as I've been up since 5.45am, yawn! Had fireworks at the parent's house last night, limited success as J cried every time so we had to take him inside and calm him down- he wasn't even happy watching from the window. Otherwise it was a nice evening though, we resumed after putting him to sleep. Nothing to report baby-wise, I think my sickness may be starting to ease a bit which is very very nice.
Hi to all that follow- I'm not at work today so I'll be running round after J all day and I'm not sure whether I'll get back on. Hope everyone has a fun Tuesday.

Hi SG, shame about the fireworks! How will he be tonight?
Afm I went for my flu jab last night but I had a funny turn in the waiting room so they refused to do it. The dr saw me and thinks I may have had a panic/anxiety attack :-(
05/11/2013 at 07:22
That's a shame he didn't enjoy the fireworks, I think I was scared of them when I was little too. I'm not a massive fan though so no real change! Good about the sickness, u bet it's tough feeling sick and running around after a lo?
Monnie- sorry to hear that. Do you normally get them? I have had a few over the years, but nothing recently.
AFM- line darker again today! Sorry if I'm boring anyone with this line business, I can't stop myself and it's the only thing keeping me calm. Nothing much else. Feel a little bit sick, but I'm well aware it could be too early for that and it's probably all in my head.

Imp, I had one before the wedding but it didn't feel like that this time, I came over all clammy and I felt a bit vacant, I was shaking and thought I was going to pass out. When the nurse asked if I was alright I just burst into tears. I felt I had no energy to even talk.
I'm glad your lines are darker! How far are you? Do you have an early scan booked? Xxx
05/11/2013 at 08:15
I think they can all be different, mine tend to make my hands and feet go dead- like pins and needles. I feel like I need to lie on the floor! Have you rebooked the flu jab?
Also, you're a lime!!!!! :)
I am only 4+5 by my ov date or 5+2 by the date the hospital will use. Not heard back from the secretary- still!!! I wouldn't mind if she'd told me it would be a week until i heard anything but she said she's call me back last Thursday!!! Grrrrr! So no early scan date as yet. I guess it's no bad thing though, as I wil only start to worry more once I have a date.

Monnie, sorry you had a bad time with at the flu appt, I've not got any experience of panic attacks, but it sounds like it could have been anxiety related. I hope you manage to get it rebooked without any further incidents!
Imp, don't worry, you're not boring anyone with the lines, I peed on sticks most days until about 6 weeks, I like to see them get darker too. I only stopped at the point the positive line came up before the control line, and the lines were as dark as each other! I think it's completely normal to want to do everything you can to reassure yourself in the early days. Sorry you've not heard back about the scan yet- I guess it'll need to be a couple of weeks away anyway so that you can see a heartbeat? I hope you hear sepomething soon though, it's nice to have stages to look forward to.

I've been MIA the last week, had a busy half term!! Nice to be back! I'm 5+1/2 today, have doctors appointment tomorrow! I'm still having waves of nausea and I am literally so tired all the time I feel like I could sleep all day and all night every day!
Imp - looks like we are going to be due the same time! Hope you get your early scan date soon!
Monnie - oh poor you, I've had those before, they're not nice and quite frightening!
Spikeygoodness - great news your sickness is disappearing!

Oh Mon, is it down to the money? Have you looked at chold tax credit etc to see if you're eligible for anything like that? Does that make it any easier?
05/11/2013 at 09:29
we arnt entilited to anything, chris has just been given a pay rise by a couple of hundred pound and it takes him over the tax barrier. so now he is taxed more we actually end up with less money, and we arnt entilited to anything.

Had some dark red/brown bleeding spots last night so have booked a Drs appointment today, really hope they will book me in for an early scan as I am beside myself with worry now!
Anyone have any positive stories of how some bleeding doesn't mean it is all over? :(
05/11/2013 at 10:19
Mon that is rubbish. The system always seems to catch people out who really need it. Maybe in the new tax year they'll change the threahold again, or change something to help. I hope so anyway. Have you got family around that can help with childcare?
Vix- Monnie had some bleeding and had an early scan and everything was ok. I'll keep my fx for you.
05/11/2013 at 10:27
VIX imps right i had some bleeding and they say its implantation bleeding, do you have any clots?
imp- i hope so. hubby works shift work so most of the time he can be at home and ill take over, theres 2 weeks out of 5 where we are a little bit stuck. my mil can do 2 days but the other 3 ill be screwed!
05/11/2013 at 10:46
Hopefully something will turn up to help solve it Mon, things often have a way of working themselves out.
05/11/2013 at 10:55
Good to hear Monnie. Had some pinkesh discharge at the weekend and last night had some discharge with a couple of small dark spots in it. Don't know if they are really clots or not :S
Have been booked in for an early scan first thing tomorrow morning, so at least I wont have to wait long! How far along do you need to be for them to know everything is ok? Worried that I wont be quite for enough along for a heartbeat :S
05/11/2013 at 11:00
the heartbeat can normally be detected from around 6 weeks, if theres no heartbeat they will be looking for a gestation sac and a yolk sac, if both of these things are present they will normally ask you to go back for another scan in 1-2 weeks to see if there is then a heartbeat. xx
05/11/2013 at 11:05
Thank you, you have reassured me a little. I think I am around 7-8 weeks so hopefully everything will be as it is supposed to be!
05/11/2013 at 11:22
are you 100% certain on your dates?
05/11/2013 at 11:30
Not really! I was on cerazette before I got pregnant so haven't had a period in years!
Had symptoms from the end of September so I did a test on the 5th Oct but it was negative. Did another test on the 17th and it was positive and CB put me at 2-3 weeks (so 4-5 weeks) so now I am 7-8 if think, but don't know for certain!
05/11/2013 at 11:39
ok, only as a prewarn. i was 100% certain of my dates. i knew everything about my cycle.
and when i was 7 weeks my scan showed i was only 5, cue major panic that the baby had stopped growing. i then had a scan at what should have been 8 weeks and the baby had grown and had a heartbeat but was only measuinrg 6 weeks. then i had a scan at 9 weeks and the baby measured 9 weeks.
sometimes they grow at their own speed xxx
