Busy day for me again today got flu jab this morning at 8 then off to work until about 8pm:( Hips have been really sore and pain mostly on right side..however thinking about it last night I was wondering if that was due to carrying L up and down stairs etc x
anyway have a nice day x

Hope the flu jab isn't too ouchy. The physio I saw for hip pain early on said carrying children on your hip can cause pelvic misalignment. Might be worth seeing someone to see if it's something fixable. Hope your work day goes quickly
Ive got midwife at 920, I've been feeling a bit lightheaded and everything is an effort including just walking a flight of stairs, so want my iron levels checked. Then going on the nature walk we should have done yesterday, we postponed to today as weather is supposed to be better today. After lunch M has gymnastics, then I need that visit to Tesco I avoided with a grumpy toddler yesterday! H out playing footy tonight so if I've got the energy I think I'll do the exercise DVD. If not I'm going to try to teach myself to crochet, I was inspired a while ago by Abnormal Kitty and bought the stuff. I gave it a try but wasn't very successful, think I need to give it another go.
Hope everyone else is ok xx

ABC, that sounds painful. I imagine carrying L upstairs isn't helping. It must be hard though when you're used to just picking him up without thinking about it.
Weekender - sounds like a busy day! I'd love to be able to crochet or do something creative but I'm just rubbish with my hands! Would be lovely to be able to make a blanket or something simple for the baby...maybe I should try!
Back to work for me today after my unexpected day off...two days worth of emails to deal with! Out for dinner tonight with a couple of friends, hoping it won't be a late one as I'm really tired. Had a look at some car seats yesterday, think we're set on the maxi-cosi pebble. I wasn't wanting to buy anything until after our next scan (in two weeks time) but it's a really good price on Amazon at the moment so I'm tempted...!
29/10/2013 at 08:39
Flossy, I'm hoping to crochet a baby blanket too, that'll be about my limit I reckon if I can even get that far! What date is your scan? Mine is a week on Thursday, eek!
29/10/2013 at 08:50
I think if I could manage it a blanket I'd be so impressed with myself! My friend offered to teach me to knit but then because I'm left handed she confused herself trying to explain! There's no hope for me!
Scan is 13th Nov. Hoping all is ok as it's my birthday the day after so have a nice day planned with my mum. I've found weeks 14-17 dragged but the last week seems to have flown past so hoping it'll be here before I know it. Are you hoping to find out the gender?

ABC - hope your busy day goes ok!, i can sympathise with the hips! ive not slept properly for weeks and its just so painful! hope you get some kind of break from it for a while.
WE - Hope all goes well with midwife, I started to learn Crochet but i gave up because im completely rubbish at it! lol, will just get the mother in law to knit a few bits for me
Flossy - hope your first day at work goes ok, we got the maxi cosi cabriofix, and got the base off of amazon last week as it was a really good price! were really pleased with it
AFM - another Crappy busy day at work i really cannot wait to leave here now, gonig to contact my HR today as we have limited car parking at my office so i have to walk half a mile to my car every morning and night and last night was not plesant at all, it was pitch black by the time i left and it felt really unsafe! the baby really kicked for the first time yesterday my co worker could even feel it, was so chuffed, i was hoping it would do it again last night so hubby could feel it but no, nothing!
got consultants on thursday so will see what happens at that appointment!

Morning all. Finally got on at a decent time today!
Abc I second maybe seeing a physio, I'm sure carrying toddlers can't help any of us. Hope the flu jab isn't too sore.
Weekender definitely worth getting iron checked. I've been feeling the same and fainted in the supermarket last week. Turns out my blood pressure is really low, it was re same with p at this stge too. I hope you start feeling better soon.
Flossy we have the pebble and highly recommend it. Defo get it if it's a bargain! Enjoy your evening out.
Afm our power was off all day yesterday until 3.30pm which was not fun! A huge tree fell into the field behind our house and didn't miss our fence by much so we got off lightly really. My parenta live in the village 2 minutes down the road and still have no power! Got my scan date through for 28th nov which seems like ages away!! I'll b 20+6 by then so I wish it was sooner but at least I can count down now! Still getting the dizzy spells etc which at least I know is caused by the low blood pressure now. Just have to hope I dont faint anywhere embarrassing or when I'm alone with p! We're going into town in a bit to get p a thick winter coat but that's it for today.

ABC- Sorry to hear you have hip ian, hopefully something can help it. Hope your flu jab goes ok.
Weekender- Busy day ahead for you. Hope midwife goes ok, def a good idea to get iron checked.Crochet sounds like a great idea, let us know how you get on.
Flossy- Enjoy tonight, hope work isnt too bad! I ordered the maxi cosi cabriofix from Amazon when it was on offer and it arrivd yesterday. was going to wait but it was only £66! Very pleased with it.
NLH- Rubbish about the parking, defintaley say something. Feeling kicks must be lovely :) typical thought that you dont feel them when you are trying to show someone lol.
AR- Glad your power is back on! My H's work still has no power, nightmare! The time until scan will hopefully fly by, mine is the 25th and I have just started counting down now that its under a month. Did you get the dizzy spells with P?
AFM- I am getting abit of a cold i think. Warpped up nice and warm at work as the office is always freezing! Felt some movements yesterday so that was lovely :) Midwife tomorrow, quite looking forward to it even though its nothing exciting!

29/10/2013 at 11:07
Welcome CC! Must have been nice to skip 2 weeks! How're you feeling?
29/10/2013 at 11:30
Back to do personals!
ABC - Sorry to hear about your hip pain :( And hope your flu jab went okay :)
Weekender - Sounds like a very busy date for you! Hope midwife goes okay and your iron levels are the reason for your symptoms! I love Crochet! my mum does it and she's making me some baby blankets!
Flossy - Enjoy tonight hope works isn't too bad for you!
NLH - Rubbish about your parking I would definitely say something! Doesn't sound safe at all! I cant wait to feel kicks typical that nothing for H though haha!
AR - Glad your powers now back on! I am sure time will fly by for your scan :)! I think mine dragged in the last week!
Bertie - Sorry to hear that you're getting a cold! keep yourself warm! Lovely to hear about your movements! Good luck at your midwife appointment tomorrow!
It is lovely to skip 2 weeks!, We woke up this morning and said it feels so much more real now that we have seen the baby and not just a jelly bean at my first scan lol! We have been talking about baby stuff in bed this morning it's nice too see Hubby so happy and more excited now!
Baby was naughty yesterday ( I warned the lady saying because its my husband's and he never plays ball haha) it wouldn't move for her to get the fluid and the back of the head for her she got it eventually and managed to turn baby around on it's stomach.. we are totally going to have a thumb sucker!
I am feeling pretty good, still getting indigestion but that's my sign that I am hungry and need to eat, it seems to be doing the trick!
29/10/2013 at 12:15
ABC - Hope the hip pain gets better.
WE - Hope you get the light headedness sorted out. Maybe the exercise DVD isn't a good idea?! Have a rest instead.
Flossy - I hope you catch up on your emails. I think we are getting the pebble too as it fits with our pram.
NLH - That sounds rubbish. Hopefully HR can suggest an alternative car parking space for you.
AR - Oh no, its horrible when you lose power. We just can't cope without it these days! Hope the next month goes quick until your scan.
Bertie - Lovely have you are feeling movements. They will get pretty strong in the next few weeks, I felt like I was getting beaten up last night!
CC - Welcome! Can't believe you were put forward 2 weeks, that's brilliant!
AFM - Think I'm finally catching up a bit at work which means I can come on here again :) Nothing much to report baby wise. Ordered some little lambs nappies last night as they were a bargain. Posted about it on here if anyone else was interested.
29/10/2013 at 13:35
Just nipping on between meetings to see how everyone is and I apologise for the lack of personals! Mrs V I bought those nappies yesterday too and they were being delivered today. Quick service! How many did you get? I went with 10 and will get a few of another brand to experiment in case these don't suit.
Bertie I don't know if you saw my post on the bump share thread but your bump is lovely and bigger than mine!!!! :)
Sorry I really need to run but I'll be around tomorrow for a proper catch up!
29/10/2013 at 13:55
ABC - That sounds sore. Physio sounds like a good idea.
Weekender - Hope everything goes well with the midwife. I wish I was more creative but I'd just make a completely hash of it.
Flossy - We got the Maxi-Cosi Pebble in red and the FamilyFIx base. It's really lovely. I think you should strike while the deal is on!
NLH - That's a good idea about the parking spaces. We're allowed to use the disabled spaces from 6 months as it's so tight to get out of your car in our car park. I also feel better that I am parked right outside when it's dark at night.
AR - That's annoying about the power outage. We were lucky being in a flat. Everyone I've spoken to has lost fence panels and my mum's bedroom window blew in.
Bertie - That's lovely that you could feel baby. Good luck for your midwife's appointment.
CC - Welcome to 2nd tri. I think mine is a thumb sucker too. The baby was doing it at both the 12 and 20 week scans.
Mrs V - Glad work has eased up a bit. Where are the Little Lamb nappies from? We've bought Pampers because they seem to be on offer everywhere but I might experiment with other brands just in case.
AFM - Not a great deal to report. At work today but planning to go swimming tonight in my new maternity costume. I really need to buy a coat now as it's become freezing all of a sudden and bump has really popped out in the last two weeks. Think I might even contribute to the bump thread later on. Just nipped out for lunch and saw Timmy Mallett painting in town. That was probably the highlight of my day :)
29/10/2013 at 14:14
SP - I got 10 as I'm planning on trying other brands too.
LD - Little Lambs are cloth nappies, not sure whether you want disposables or not? Aldi nappies are meant to be really good and cheap too. I'm sure the experienced Mums can advise!
Sweetpea- Thanks :) It seems to have got bigger this week!
LD- Haha how random! I just got a new coat last week, it is so chilly now! Enjoy swimming :) And yes add your bump pic, id love to see.
29/10/2013 at 14:17
CC- Aw its lovely when you see it actually looking like a baby isnt it! The difference between my scan at 8 weeks and 12 was amazing.
Mrs V- I hadnt really though about cloth nappies, I may have aread about them. Glad your work has quitened down a bit.
Ahhh thanks Mrs V, I didn't realise they were cloth. I'm sticking with disposibles I think.
Where did you get your coat from Bertie. I'm not that impressed with the ones I've seen so far.
