AR, rotten for P. Hate seeing them like that. Poor thing. Hope she feels better soon.
Yes to itchy boobs! Hot and itchy!
I've been awake since 3.30am for no reason and can't decide whether to get up and go to work or milk every last drop of possible sleep out of this morning! 22 weeks today. Still don't consider it halfway. We missed the first almost 4 weeks (LMP to BFP), and baby could be two weeks late so I'll 'celebrate' halfway when we're at the midway of wks 4 & 42. My first pregnancy dragged so much it felt like the gestation of an elephant. Not prepared to go down that road so am erring on the side of caution so as not to be disappointed at week 40!
Although.... I've read a few things about issues with going full-term when there's been a long gap between pregnancies. Apparently the body is less efficient as the 'ripe' time is long gone. So maybe I'll even be early not late, that would leave me properly confused :)

Im still posting on here before officially being 3rd tri on thurs! Its all very confusing!!
AR it must be a worry about your daughter. I hope she gets better soon. Boobs wise yes they havd been itchy and also mine leaked over night the other day- lovely!
Counter - i know what you mean about it dragging! Technically ive been pregnant for 47 weeks already counting my last pregnancy! I think ill be impatient in february. Hope you managed to get back to sleep?
AFM back to work after a lovely long weekend. Hopefully my day will go fast as I have MW this afternoon so will be leaving work early.

Morning ladies, sorry I've not been on for a few days, busy weekend with a portly baby then busy day at work yesterday.
AR, sorry P's I'll, it's so horrid when they're poorly and you can't do anything to help. My boobs aren't itchy yet, but I think they're going to be, they've already grown a good couple of sizes, pesky boobs.
Counter, boo to being awake so early, it feels like such a waste of good sleeping time! Who knows with the halfway- you could be past it already (fingers crossed!) I think 39 weeks would be ideal personally.
Mrs V, a long weekend sounds blissful! Hope yor day goes fast, and your MW appt goes well.
Afm, home with J today, and I'm hoping he's on slightly better form than he has been. He's only got a cold (I think, though if the coughing continues much longer I may take him to the docs just to get checked, he's had a chest infection before and sounds about as bad now) but has been running a temp on and off for the last week, has been off his food, and generally an unhappy boy. We've had a better (full!!!) night's sleep the last couple of nights, so hopefully he's on the mend. Nothing to report baby wise. I keep wondering whether I can feel flutters, but it's so early it's likely my imagination at this stage.

AR, hope P is ok, it's so worrying when they are poorly. Hope she takes some fluids today. M had fruit shoots last time she was ill, not my finest moment but it got fluids in her and had to do whatever it took! Ice lollies are good too for getting fluids in
Counter, I'm totally at a loss to think when this baby will come! If it's a section it'll be 38 weeks assuming there's no complications that means earlier delivery. If placenta moves abd I am waiting to go into labour naturally, well M was induced at 11 days overdue! So goodness knows! Hope you sleep better tonight x
MrsV, not long till 3rd tri, exciting, on the home stretch!
SG, hope J is feeling better. It might be baby moving there's def people who feel no2 quite early x
I'm so tired today! Went to cinema last night with H which was lovely, saw Saving Mr Banks which was such a lovely film, sad in parts but quite funny, Emma Thompson played her part brilliantly. But I'm suffering for it today, I can't handle late nights worth it though! Plans for today, some Christmas crafty stuff with M this morning then she has gymnastics this afternoon. Early night tonight :)
Hope everyone else is well x

SG - I seem to remember AR and Counter both felt flutters really early too (I remember being jealous!) so it might not be too early. Hope J gets better soon.
AR - hope P gets better too. Can't be nice seeing your little one poorly.
Counter - ouch, early start! Hope you went back to sleep in the end!
Mrs V - almost time for 3rd tri! Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. Lovely way to start the week with a short day!
AFM, definitely didn't want to get out of bed this morning!! Can't wait to get a few days off after Christmas, that's the only thing keeping me going at the moment. I have holiday to use but there's no time to take it as we're pretty busy and I don't want to miss out on any of the Christmas parties/lunches etc! My bump is really achy today, I'm starting to get the itchy boob thing too! It's difficult to scratch them discreetly (and now I'm writing this on the train I'm thinking about them being itchy and all I want to do is scratch them!)

i'm still lurking! hugs to you all
its all very srange moving to a new thread, trying to remember who everyone is and tag on to peoples situtations, its like starting a new school!!!! not long until i see you ladies in there though! x

Lots of sick kiddies and itchy boobs this morning :( hope you itchy boobs ladies are moisturising/oiling them lots as it sounds like the skin is stretching.
AR really hope that P is feeling better soon. I can't imagine how much of a worry it is.
Counter - poor you being awake so early. Hope you stayed in bed! And you are defo beyond half way now - who knows when baby will make an appearance!
Mrs V can you believe you are 3rd tri this week?? Crazy! Hope the MW goes well.
SG hope your LO feels better soon too. It's highly likely you can feel flutters - common this early with 2nd babies! Exciting!
WE - glad you enjoyed the film. I quite fancy it! If I'm not in bed by 9 I'm done in the next day!
Flossy - I'm the same counting down till chrimbo hols! Hope you and your itchy boobs survived the train journey!
NLH - I'll be joining you in a week - it's always strange moving tri threads
AFM another one awake at 4am. H was too funnily enough and he got up at 5.30 and went to work. Crazy fool! I pretended to be asleep the whole time although did poke the baby awake who woke up, had a kick fest and kept me company. Am I a bad mummy already?? Hee hee!! Working from home this morning so still in my dressing gown and drinking tea!
03/12/2013 at 09:21
AR- Bless poor P, hope she gets better soon, have they given her something to help? yes I have had itchy boobs for weeks! Drives me mad but H finds it halarious.
Counter- Another really early one for you, how do you function all day?!
Mrs V- Hope you enjoyed your long weekend and the midwife app goes well.
SG- Hope your little one is better soon. You may well be feeling flutters as I read with your 2nd etc you can feel them earlier.
Weekender- I may suggest to H we go see that. We used to go cinema all the time but I always fell asleep even before pregnancy! Want to get some trips in before the baby comes. Enjoy your ealry night!
Flossy- Ha I just go for it and itch them, I cant help it lol. Mine is worse at night when I take my bra off. When do you finish for xmas?
AFM- had lots of wriggles yesterday keeping me company :) Had funny dreams last night so didnt sleep to great, may be an early night for me. Our moses basket will hopefully arive today so lookin forward to seeing that.
03/12/2013 at 09:22
Sweetpea- Cross posted there. Ha, its nice when they are awake in the night with you isn't it. Good job you are working from home this morn after waking up so early!
03/12/2013 at 09:34
Hi Bertie! That's so exciting your Moses basket is arriving!! Hope you get early to bed tonight - it's always funny to wake up and start thinking about bedtime already!!
03/12/2013 at 09:41
AR, sorry to hear P is sick. What you say about worrying I've always suspected to be the case. I was just telling my sister yesterday that I swear from day 1 I'm going to be listening to his/her breathing for the telltale pops and whistles of asthma.
Counter, don't people say that pregnancy insomnia is practice for the baby? Doesn't make it easier, though, sorry you were up so early.
MrsV (and neverlosehope!), I think I'm bound to never get to know you! By the time I get to 3rd tri your baby will probably be here (just think about how great that'll be!)
SG, glad to hear you think J is on the mend, I hope he continues to improve. At what stage do you normally start feeling flutters? I'm honestly not quite sure what to expect.
Weekender, I had to google that film as I didn't know what it was - looks cute :)
Flossy, can you roll over any holiday to next year? Maybe use it to take a babymoon or something?
Sweetpea, enjoy the morning at home!
AFM, baby fine, nothing to report really. I'm worried that Wispa is under the weather, though. This morning lying in bed her stomach was gurgling.. like that indigestion gurgle people get, so I rushed to get us out the door for her morning walk earlier than normal. She wasn't too bad on the walk, but she wasn't quite as energetic as normal, and a couple times she tried to just lie down in the park. It was strange, and when we got home she bypassed her food bowl (normally gets breakfast after her walk) and went straight to lie down on the carpet! She did eat when I gave her half her normal food, but I really don't want her to get sick, especially as we're coming back to England next week and it would be hellish trying to get an ill dog into the country.
03/12/2013 at 10:23
Wispa, are you over in Paris or did I make that up? So jealous, I love it there!
SP - I don't actually finish work until Christmas Eve, but I'm off after that until the second although tempted to maybe take the rest of that week off just to get some rest. I've also got the first week of feb booked off as that'll be about halfway between Christmas and mat leave so I figure I'll still be in a good enough state (I hope!) to get some bits a pieces done and have a few lazy days.
Weekender - I've limited myself to one night out a week mon-fri, I have to build up to it beforehand and recover afterwards!
Bertie, how exciting about the Moses basket, you're so much more organised than I am! I always fall asleep at the cinema, and to make it worse my job is actually related to film!
03/12/2013 at 11:45
Oui! I don't mind it here.. there are good points and bad points. I loved living abroad after university, but I think it's different now I'm older. Even though the UK is technically still 'abroad' for me, it's not as foreign there as it is in other places. Paris is lovely, and I've been to a few good restaurants and exhibitions, but I miss having a job, and I miss speaking English. I miss our local pub, I miss the food you can get in the supermarkets there. When we leave Paris I'm sure I'll miss certain things, but I can't wait to get back to the UK for a bit.

AR - Sorry to hear that P is sick :(! Afraid I haven't got itchy boobs yet but was on the app saying that you can get it due to your skin stretching and becoming thinner.. or something similar... I will have another look in a min!
Counter - I too was up at stupid oclock this morning! Oh well good practice for those sleepless baby nights lol!
MrsV - Good luck for 3rd Tri! On the home stretch! Yay!
SG - Glad to hear that J is on the mend and feeling better.. hope he continues to improve :) Oh to flutters :).. I think you can deff feel them earlier the 2nd time around so I hope it is flutters for you :)
Weekender - Glad you enjoyed the film, I want too see it too! Not sure it's H's cup of tea though oh well lol!.. maybe get it on DVD lol!
Flossy - Rubbish about not being able to take your holiday's :( and sorry to hear you have itch boobs too!
NLH - Yay to 3rd tri, It's funny joining the next tri, like being the new girl and waiting for someone else to join so your not the new girl anymore lol!
Sweatpea - Haha I would of prob done the same.. enjoy working from home :)
Wispa - I hope wispa improves, not nice having a poorly dog :(!
AFM, Nothing much to report but had some awful cramps at 4am when trying to get back to sleep after H left for work, had them again at 11 and then again in the shower... was making me worry a little but no blood or anything else so guessing/hoping that it's just stretching pains and I moved too quickly!
03/12/2013 at 12:56
Hope you are feeling okay now CC. If you get anymore I'd call the MW for reassurance. I'm sure it's fine but it always feels better coming from the professional!
Wisps hope the doggy is feeling better soon!
03/12/2013 at 13:31
CC - are you sure it's nothing you've eaten? i've had something similar and it seemed to be food-related. Hope the cramps stay away! x
03/12/2013 at 13:33
Maybe... think it might be wind... I am not sure though :)
