how are you all today?
today I have drs about my sleep. Pregnancy wise not much to report really, my diva has been a bit quiet since the scan on Friday but still some movements so I'm not concerned!
today is someone's birthday at work so I'm looking forward to a doughnut haha

I hope the doctor can come up with something for you mon. Enjoy your doughnut.
AFM- sorry mon- I'm sleeping loads better at the moment. I think I've managed to break the cycle of early morning insomnia. *touches wood and crosses fingers* I'm trying as much as I can to lay still at night and try and feel happy feet. I've no idea if I'm feeling them or not, I thought I felt something last night but it could have just been gas or my own heartbeat!

Imp- it probably is baby, :-)
Just you wait, the sleep monster will get you eventually lol xxx

Monnie, hope the dr can help. Enjoy your doughnut.
Imp, so glad you're sleeping better, hurrah! I bet it is Happy Feet that you can feel, dancing away in there :) Congrats on being 16 weeks!!
AFM, listened in on my doppler to baby last night. It's the first time I've used it since my scan at the weekend, and I just stared at her 3D picture while listening to her runaway train heartbeat. I'm so looking forward to meeting her in July!!
No real movements or flutters here yet. The sonographer told me that the placenta is at the front for me, acting like a cushion between me and baby, so it might be a while before I can feel any real movements. Never mind!
Hi to all who follow xx

Oh Fig, it must be so lovely to know you've got a little girl in there. Enjoy listening to her and knowing that you'll be meeting her in July.

Morning, room for another? Am 14+1 so think I belong in here now!
Monnie, hope the drs can help with your sleeping. Enjoy the doughnut, mmm
Imp, ooh hopefully you'll be sure it's baby moving in there soon
Fig, aww a girl how lovely! saw your scan pic too she's a cutie!
Afm, nothing really to report, have next appt 16 weeks and on countdown till the anomaly scan (although dont have a date yet). Is it bad I'm wishing the time away?!
Have a nice day all x

Monnie, glad you've got the appt, hope you get sorted out, but in the meantime yum, doughnut!
Imp, don't drive yourself too nuts trying to feel baby just yet, but it could well be those niggles are baby :)
Fig, so sweet looking at the photo and listening to her! Have you started thinking names?
Choco, welcome! I completely understand wishing the time away, I'm still doing it.
AFM, after a day and a night with my wrist wrapped up its already feeling a lot better. It's weird these pains coming and going so quickly. Usually joint pain/tendonitis lingers for ages! Oh well, I'll just watch the repetitive movement for the rest of pregnancy I guess . No throwing or kicking balls around for Wispa, she's going to be gutted!
I bought some nursery stuff yesterday.. I was playing around on polyvore all weekend, scouring the internet for stuff I actually liked. I hate that so much baby stuff is all either pink ballerinas and butterflies or navy cars and trucks, or otherwise it's beige and boring. I'm not a big fan of pastels. Eventually I honed in on Mamas & Papas patternology stuff and came up with a plan for the nursery.
This will probably pre-empt my gender announcement, but the one person on MD I didn't want to see probably never reads the tri threads anyways, so here's the plan:
We have the expedit bookshelf already, and I've now bought the coverlet, sheet, blanket, and alphabet stickers (won't those be a pain to get straight!). The rug is also from M&P patternology line, but the shop I was in didn't have it in stock. The other bits will all be ikea, and are currently sitting in my shopping basket waiting for us to get the house completion date. We don't need a changing table as the room has a waist-height shelf due to the stairs being underneath, so will use a changing pad on there and the lack shelf above will be for storage of stuff for it!

Imp, I love knowing :)
CO, hello! Welcome to 2nd tri :) Hope time hurries up for you, I'm wishing away the months as well.
Wispa, lovely nursery ideas! And congratulations, I think I can guess what you're having! Lovely news.
Not really started to think of names yet. I've always liked the name Lily as it has family connections, but it's a very popular name now so I'm not sure if I still like it as much. I think I'm leaning towards using Lillian as a middle name now instead.

CO- Welcome lovely lady, I am totally wishing the time away so yes it's perfectly normal.
Wispa- I already know, but I would guess- yes. I've seena rug I like in ikea, its beige with multicolour buttons in the pattern, I think I'll get it for the nursery as it's only £30. I also love grey and am definately using that as a colour in the nursery.
Fig I love the name Lily or Lilian.

Monnie - Hope you get some good advice at the doctors.
Imp - Glad you're sleeping better. How exciting that you think you may be feeling things! Every now and then I feel what I'd describe as a fish flipping about quite low down but its probably not baby related at all, Ha.
Fig - I've heard baby likes to grasp / play with placenta so maybe they will end up moving it for you ;)
CO - Nope, think thats completely normal as I'm doing the same. I feel like 20 weeks is a real milestone and can't wait to get there.
Wispa - Lovely! How exciting. I've been looking at bits too, I think we are going to get the Harrogate furniture from Mothercare. I don't really want to buy anything yet but its on offer until 12th February so might buy it on that date and not have it delivered until I'm 20+ weeks (I'll be 18 when it is ordered). A friend said its best to get furniture first as you can start putting things away rather than having it all piling up (i.e. when you start buying other bits).
AFM - Not much to say! Feeling loads better still but still being sick at least once a day. Can cope with that, it was feeling so unwell along with it that was uncomfortable. Think I'm going to go to John Lewis on my lunch break and look at prams (again). All I do is look at them with my eyes then run away. I think I'm obsessed with the Bugaboo Buffalo at the minute.
21/01/2014 at 12:03
Pep I think wispa is getting that pram?
21/01/2014 at 12:06
Imp, I believe Wispa is too :) Unless she has changed her mind! I haven't actually tried it out. Just looked at in store / reviews online. I quite like the icandy (strawberry) too, but also want to try the Uppababy and Quinny.... Last week my obsession was changing bags, this week its prams, what am I like!
21/01/2014 at 12:11
I want to wait until April as Icandy are releasing a new pram called the raspberry. I want something that's fairly light and not too big, so it seems ideal to me. Otherwise I'll get either the peach or the strawberry.
21/01/2014 at 13:06
Are they? Useful to know! My only issue with their prams is the seats seem so small. I definitely need to make a list of 'musts' and 'wants' and when its time just a hit a shop and say help me!
21/01/2014 at 13:12
I think I'm going to book an appt with John Lewis to go and look at them in there, they seem to have a lot and I like their service. I trust them not to sell me a duffer.
21/01/2014 at 13:34
Oooh, I was at bluewater on Sunday and played with the buffalo (again) You're right, we are definitely getting it. It was the second time I'd tried it out, and although I had to ask for help the first time and have someone show me how to fold it, remove the seat/carrycot, extend the handle, etc, this time I did it all on my own and managed to scoot it around the shop floor quickly. Also checked how easy it would be with carrycot on to put shopping in the basket underneath and was happy with it. I love it so much!
Imp, I saw that button rug at Ikea, it's super cute!
21/01/2014 at 16:40
Wispa - do you know if the carrycot can be slept in overnight? I read it could and now I'm reading that it can't. It was one of the 'pros' for the pram for me!
21/01/2014 at 17:35
As far as I know it would be fine, but I would double check that the mattress in it is suitable for overnight sleeping. We're planning to get a moses basket and rocking stand for upstairs and use the carrycot for daytime naps downstairs.
21/01/2014 at 18:08
Wisps that's what we will do too... But thought carrycot might be handy for visiting people etc!
21/01/2014 at 18:16
Evening all. Hope everyone's well, and having a fun Tuesday. I've been off with J today, we had a new bed delivered so waited in for that this morning (H's job to assemble if I can persuade him tonight, otherwise we'll be on a mattress on the floor), then did toddler group and soft play with a friend this afternoon. So fairly busy all in all.
Sorry for lack of personals, I'm just doing a quick post whilst J smears yoghurt all over his face. Wispa, the room plan looks good though, and congratulations, the colour scheme may be a bit of a giveaway! The carrycot for the bugaboo cameleon can be used for overnight sleeping, so I'd assume the buffalo would be the same.
