Hoping that it might be cooler today, but I doubt it! Heat was strting to bother me yesterday. Got midwife today, so hoping that baby is still the right way round. 4 more days at work ( not that I'm counting down or anything ).
Got an invite for SILs baby shower in the post- shes notdue until Novrmber and it's in middle of October and it was accompanied by a double sided A4 gift list with website links to the exact things she wants!

Morning Bunny, hope the MW goes well. Your SIL sounds a bit cheeky, a double sided A4 sheet is a lot!
AFM, another day of teaching today due to a change in plans and 3.5 more days to go after this as I've been asked to cover on Thursday afternoon too. Think it will mostly be play rehearsals for the rest of the week though which is easy but it's so hot in the hall. Other than that, all well with me and baby.

Not long to go at work Bunny. Are you all 'handed over' and able to relax for the last few days. Wtf re your SIL? That's not only mega organised, it's cheeky too. I've never heard of anyone this side of the Atlantic sending out a gift list for a baby shower. Fair enough is someone was to ask but that's way too presumptuous for my liking.
AFM - busy day, Tesco delivery at 8, swimming lesson at 10 then a couple of friends coming over for lunch with their kids. Paddling pool at the ready! Have a load of little jobs to do this afternoon but think I may have to sleep when A naps, been fighting off a headache for 2 days now.
Had 3rd and last Daisy Birthing class last night, just hope I feel in control enough to remember and practice the breathing techniques when actually in labour.
Bunny - hope mw goes well. How cheeky of sil!
Margot - hope it isn't too hot at work today, not long to go!
AFM, my H was night shift last night but that's him on his days off now and his paternity leave starts at end of the week. Rubbish the way his shifts have fallen as he has to go back to work when baby will only be 8 days old. We have a list of jobs to get done today and tomorrow before my induction. Still not sunk in that baby is coming soon, we are in denial!! Think I'm just refusing to accept that I have to go through labour again :-(
Hope everyone else is well
Missed you there M, 4 or 4.5 days still doesn't sound long to go at all!

Missed you there BG, sounds like a busy day . Don't overdo it, def go for a nap when A does x

Bunny – with only 4 days to go, I’d be counting down! Wow, double sided gift list for your SIL’s baby shower, not expecting much is she?!
Margot – hope you have a good day, not long to go now.
Bridget – enjoy the swimming and lunch. Paddling pool sounds a fab idea in this weather!
Ally – that’s a bit pants about your H’s shifts. Reminds me how lucky H’s school are being with his paternity leave. Especially as we weren’t expecting any with baby being due in the summer holidays, but he still gets the 2 weeks which he can split up instead of taking 2 weeks off all together. Which for the fellow teachers out there will be really helpful with it being at the start of the school year and settling the kids. But just think, your baby will be here soon enough!!
AFM – 37 weeks today!! How has this happened?! Can’t quite believe we’ve reached term already. I can’t wait to meet baby now. Got a text from my aunt yesterday (who has no children and is in no way maternal) giving me tips on what I need to be doing to cope being heavily pregnant in this heat and asking if I was counting down the days, as if baby has informed us of the day that he/she will be arriving. I think the heat and being uncomfortable most of yesterday shortened my temper and made me a bit more irritable that it just wound me up. But am feeling today is going to be a better day!

Bunny - hopw mw goes well. is that the norm for baby showers? i've never been to one and im not having one. seems quite cheeky though.
Margot - not long left :)
BG - i've been suffering with headaches in this heat so hope you can get some rest. those cool migraine strips have helped but you do look like a wally with them on.
Ally - eeeek really not long.
AFM - i am ok. i woke rather randomly in the night and my ear was bleeding. didnt hurt or anything justa bit weird. i have moved my maternity leave forward a little bit so my last day in the office is 16th aug...which is only 4 weeks on friday :D not long at all. the heat is killing me off. :(
hope everyone is ok :)

bunny - I've never been to a baby shower so don't know what the etiquette is but that seems like quite a big expectation of your SIL! 4 days left though, woooooo!
M - hope the play rehearsals go ok, shame it will be in a hot stuffy hall though :(
A - good luck getting your jobs done, will make the days go quickly. Such a shame about your H's paternity leave though.
BG - hope you get all your jobs done with enough time for a nap this afternoon. Sounds like you are going to need it!
Sapphire - ah that much be annoying about the text from your Aunt, I know some of mine and H's family will be like that and it will drive me crazy. As if coping in the heat isn't enough to make you short tempered! So exciting to be at term though, yay!
twink - I've not heard of bleeding ear, that's strange. Has it stopped completely now? Have you got another MW app soon so that you can ask about it? Nice one for moving your ML, hope the next 4 weeks go quickly for you.
AFM - another rubbish night's sleep, even though H bought a new more powerful fan for the bedroom. My back is killing me so it's hard enough to get comfortable without being roasting hot. Got a day off tomorrow as it's my birthday so at least it will make the week go a bit quicker than normal!
Have a good day everyone x

Bunny - good luck at MW. Cant believe the cheek of your SIL!!
M - play rehearsals sound fun!
BG - dont over-do it in this heat!
Ally - wish I knew when this Bean was coming, I am so fed up!
Saph - I'm irritable too so you have my sympathy.
Twink - the ear thing is weird, perhaps pop to the doctor just to be sure?
Pop - I cant sleep either :-(
AFM - I am so over being pregnant! I just want one nights decent sleep before Bean arrives but it so isnt going to happen, heat, sore hip, cramp in legs, and really sore foof are just not a recipe for sleeping! Everything is an effort and I just want to have this baby now. Been up the hospital a bit with my gran which is also tiring. Sorry for the woe is more rant! Have a friend coming over this morning, and were out to friends for dinner tonight (although I could do without it but my H arranged it!).
16/07/2013 at 09:17
Oh Porkchop I really feel for you lovely. How is your Gran doing? Fingers crossed baby comes sooner rather than later for you but not before you've had at least one good night's sleep xxx
16/07/2013 at 09:25
Thanks Popcorn! She's not too bad in herself, just stuck in there until they can do the knee replacement op on 26th!! Bean is due 24th, so we'll see if were in there at the same time! I seem to have been landed with a lot of the visiting but have told my aunt I cant do today or Thurs, others need to step up!

Bunny - seems a bit cheeky of your SIL although I've never been to a baby shower so not really sure what's expected.
Margot - not long for you now though. Hope that halls not too hot.
BG - busy day for you, hope you manage to fit a nap in
Ally - that's rubbish about your H's shifts. I sympathise with you though, my H is in the RAF and they've been a bit rubbish too. He's off already and baby's not even due until torrow!
Sapphire - you'll only start getting more and more messages asking how you are etc. I know people are being nice but it can be very annoying. Hope today's a better day for you
Twink - that's strange about your ear, hope your ok.
Popcorn - the heat is awful, I'm normally a sun worshiper but it's getting to me now. Have a lovely birthday tomorrow!
PC - sorry your not feeling too great and hope your grandma is getting better.
AFM - still nothing to report, due date tomorrow and I'm booked in for a sweep with the MW. Another boring day ahead, will probably just sit in the garden with my book.
Have a good day everyone

Bunny – Cheeky SIL!!! But woo hoo, 4 days will go so quick!
Margot – glad you are feeling ok, hope the rehearsals are good.
BG – have a fun afternoon, if you a fighting a headache, take a paracetamol, it will really help. I had to take some at the weekend as it was so hot.
Ally – that’s a bit rubbish about the shifts, but nice that he will be with you for the first week nonetheless.
Sapphire – that was nice of your aunt, she must be worried about you in the heat. I can see how it could have annoyed you though, ha ha!
Twink – where was your ear bleeding from? That is a bit random, do you think you were hot?
Popcorn – the night times are horrible aren’t they. Hope the fan helps and yay for the day off tomorrow, are you doing anything nice?
PC – Sorry you aren’t having a nice time right now. Try and enjoy your evening out with your friends, it might be your last one for a while as a couple!
TT – due date tomorrow!!!! Wow. Enjoy your time in the garden, I am so jealous!
AFM – I’m doing ok. The heat in the day doesn’t bother me as Im at work and its air conditioned (its so luuuuurvely!) but the night time is really making me feel uncomfortable. Not so much from the heat, although it doesn’t help, but just general baby uncomfortableness.Im really tired today after a bad nights sleep so im hoping after a day at work I will be really tired that I will sleep properly!
Other than that, I feel really good!!!

I'm 39 weeks today. It's Zoe's last day in the nursery class at school, it is scarey to think when we go back after the school holidays she will be going in to reception and will be a big sister. Eek. One of the other mum's gave birth yesterday morning - and was doing the school run today Zoe couldn't quite believe that Noodles is probably the size of that baby and just kept saying "but how will she get out" which everyone found rather amusing.
I'm feeling a bit more cheerful today. Feeling as though we are almost on top of everything, had a huge clear out of stuff yesterday. Basically if it didn't have a home I through it out, hope I don't regret that soon. Really need to sort out Zoe's toys a bit but I think that will wait now until after the summer holidays. Oh, and possibly the fact that Zoe is going to stay with Grandma for a few days tomorrow so I can have a complete rest might be contributing to the cheerfulness.
16/07/2013 at 16:30
Porkchop -sore foof? Is that just from heat/swelling or opening else? Mine is a bit too. I didn't have that before so am assuming its heat?
*also - hello everyone*
16/07/2013 at 17:56
I don't know, its swollen, but it just aches and hers even more painful when I try and roll over in bed. I've just put it down as a normal pregnancy thing!!
