Morning BF, sounds like a v busy weekend. Glad your friend's prognosis is looking better :-)
Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday ladies...because of my continued swelling and headache I checked in with the mw. She came out to me to check my BP and urine and my BP was up (not ridiculously high but was high for me) and I had a trace of protein so off I went to the DAU for monitoring. Thankfully the BP came back down pretty quickly (break from 2 year old perhaps? ;-) ) and baby was super active etc on monitors so I was sent home after about 2 hours. The saving grace was there was only 1 other lady in DAU...unheard of!!
Today I mainly plan to take it easy!
Hi to all who follow x

BF - sounds like a busy weekend! Glad your friend's prognosis is looking ok. Hope mw goes ok today.
Coco - glad your BP came down. This heat has a lot to answer for! Definitely take it easy today!
AFM - much enjoyed NCT last night, really get on with the other couples. Feels wired our last session is Wednesday and the reunion isn't until October! One has already had their baby so not sure if we could arrange something sooner. Midwife this aft.
I started raspberry leaf tea on Saturday but forgot on Sunday and forgot yesterday :/ not doing very good so far!
Hello to those that follow! X

Hi Coco, glad everything was Ok when you went for assessment :-)
Browny, our NCT reunion isn't until October either, and yes, one of our ladies has had her baby already as well. Nothing to stop you all meeting sooner though. I went swimming with one lady last week, and a few of us are doing coffee tomorrow, which may well turn into lunch. The dads are also trying to sort evening drinks out one night soon. Like you we have a really good crowd, and so glad we signed up for it :-)

Browny - Glad you've got a lot out of the NCT classes and that you've made some good friends. Sure you'll be able to fix up some earlier meets...did you all swap numbers? Perhaps suggest a coffee meet or something? I didn't take raspberry leaf last time and all was fine (week early and quick!) , but sure it'll be fine if you just jump back on it today :-)

BF - I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I hope the chemo goes well for her and the prognosis continues to look up.
Coco - I'm glad yesterday was nothing to worry about, taking it easy today sounds like a good plan.
Browny - it's great that you enjoyed the NCT class and have met some nice new friends. I sometimes wish if done that just to meet people rather than for the info!
AFM, I'm feeling proper exhausted. Didn't even do much yesterday but looking after F was really hard going. I just wanted to sit down but he wasn't having any of it! I've got my 28 MW appoinment this morning (and back tomorrow for whooping cough jab!) so I'm hoping she's going to check my iron levels. I also need to ask her about this Group B Strep thing as I had it last time. No plans for the rest of the day. Baby was really active yesterday too so that's good.
Malteser - I didn't make it back on yesterday but glad you've joined us :-)

Barefoot - you sound chilled which is good! Thumbs up for going mountain walking! I struggle to the local shops with pelvic pain! Respect!! Glad you talked to your mum - becoming a mum changes your feelings a lot I think. I am adopted and it became a real issue and gave me a lot of new thoughts on the subject once I was pregnant.
Coco - sounds scary look after yourself - although I agree - it was probably the break from the 2 year old :)
Browny - Hope you are well! Drink it wwhen you can - it helps some people not others so don't let it stress you :)
Weather Girl - welcome to 3rd Tri!! I see you have a wee one at home? Its exhausting having to play when you can barely bend over :)
AFM: all ok here - baby very wiggly and movements can really hurt. Keep getting BH's which can really hurt too. The kindergarten is closing on Monday for 3 weeks summer holidays so I'll have Litttle Sue for the next 2 weeks at home on my own - I am thinking a lot of drawing and play dough!!!! My H is taking 3 weeks off from the 11th of August so that will be great. I have my elective section on the 14th August so 3 weeks this thursday!!! I think I'm ready!! Next check up is tomorrow so can't wait to see how big the baby is.
I'm enjoying this week on my own so much and am shortly off into town to pick up some things and treat myself to lunch.
P.S. Huge congrats to Jonsey!!

BF - yes I think I might suggest meeting for coffee or something. The last one to go on ML leave end of next week so might suggest it for the week after. So glad I did it too!
Coco - yes we all have each other's details and are now friends on fb lol. We still have one session to go so might suggest it then or wait and do it via email/text lol.
WG - hope MW goes ok. I think I had bloods at 28 weeks, one of the things they check is iron so hopefully she will do it anyway. If you're worried speak to her anyway. I'm going to mention it to mine today as my iron levels were low (but not low enough for meds) but I've been having the odd dizzy spell. Hope you manage to get some rest today.
Sue - exciting that you know when it'll be! Make the most of this week on your own!

Well, I'm back from my MW appointment. Unfortunately it wasn't my usual MW, as she's on holiday, so I left a couple of the questions I wanted to ask for next time. No urgency, they can wait. She did take my blood though to check my iron levels. BP and urine both fine and baby's heartbeat was good too. It's still a bit early to tell properly but she thinks baby is transverse at the moment. Let hope that changes later down the line!
Sue - you're right about having another LO being hard work. My poor LO is having to watch lots of TV at the moment bless him, especially whilst it's been a bit hot to play outside. Enjoy the next few weeks before baby arrives!
Browny - hope you get on okay this afternoon.
I almost forgot that I've got aquayoga tonight. Looking forward to getting in that pool!

Just got back from mw and baby's head is in my pelvis (as I suspected) and they've written 4/5 on my notes. Not sure if that means lots of head is in there or just a bit of it :/
They've also prescribed me iron tablets due to my dizzy spells. X

Hi Browny, I'm 4/5 too as of today. Means 4/5 palpable so 1/5 engaged. I was hoping to be a bit further on tbh since OH's colleague is 4 days ahead of me and fully engaged. Still, at least it's all heading in the right direction :-)

I've been a long term lurker, but as my maternity leave starts tomorrow I hope I will now have the time to actively take part!
A little bit about me/us:
I'm 27, expecting first baby (we know baby is a boy, but family think we don't know!), my husband is 29.
We've been married just about a year, together 4 years.
Baby is due 31st August.
Husband and I are both teachers so we have 6 weeks of hols starting tomorrow afternoon, then my maternity leave will kick in when baby is born. I'm not due back to work until 1st July 2015!
I'm currently 34 weeks - midwife appointment next week.
Hope everyone is coping ok in the heat!

Hi Alipops, you were on Hitched weren't you? My tablet won't let me post there for some reason, but never mind. Welcome to life on the other side!
