BF - sorry to hear you've had a rubbish night's sleep. Enjoy letting your friends later and hope you manage to get your cat looked at.
AFM, I have a MW appoinment later this morning and then aquayoga tonight. I think we've decided on the wardrobe for baby's room so I need to get that ordered as there is an 8 week delivery time! Also spoke to the chap who's going to do our ensuite and he's not going to be starting until towards the end of the month and will be here for roughly 2 weeks. Am I weird for being a bit nervous about this? For some reason I want my own space as the time draws nearer but we need to get it done. We've been trying to make decisions since March! If I feel up to it later I might do some baking with F.
Have a good day all, baby out vibes for Coco and NB?

Morning. Baby out vibes to all that need them.
Bf I'm sure you will know when the time comes, contractions are painful! Definitely different to baby stretching out. Enjoy your coffee with friends.
WG hope that the midwife goes well. Its not weird feeling nervous about having someone do work close to the due date, I would want to have the house to myself too!
Going to pack or at least get everything into a pile that I need for my hospital bag today. We ended up helping my brother in law and sister in law move house yesterday so didn't get time. Waiting for the electrician to turn up too. He was meant to be here at 8am to do some bits and it could be 2 days work so I would rather he hurries up so I can get on without worrying that I won't hear the door bell as its not very loud.

BF - as much as my labour with O wasn't conventional I did know once the contractions kicked in. Sure you'll be fine. Enjoy meeting your nct crowd.
WG - hope your appointment goes well and that you have fun at aqua yoga. I'm the ssme with wanting my own space etc at the mo...we had visitors at the weekend and a workman in yesterday and I felt a bit uneasy!
Thanks for the vibes...I'm still here, still waiting. Thought things were kicking off in the middle of the night as I woke feeling sick and *TMI* needed a clear out (who said pregnancy as glam?!) but no pains to speak of as yet. I *think* baby has moved lower though as their bum has moved lower, still v active too. I hope things happen soon!
Hopefully we'll have a flood of BA's soon :-) x

Bunny - hope the workman doesn't keep you waiting too long and you can stick your feet up as well as getting your hospital bag sorted today x

I'll come back later for personals, I'm running late for midwife because I've lost my plug this morning and it's sent me into a right tail spin!! I got up 4 times for the loo in the night, my current record and then this morning went to toilet again and it was definitely my plug - very snotty with a streak of red blood. Had to wake up husband just to share the news haha! Now, I'm running late. I'll pop back later.

bunny - good luck packing the hosp bag!
Coco - baby out vibes to you, hopefully not too much longer
Alipops - hope midwife goes well
AFM - im a bit nervous now im on the tri thread where babies are due to arrive, scary stuff!! babywise not much to report, he seems to wriggle around alot more now and do a few odd big kicks. we have our 4d scan this sunday :)

Hi again, still very crampy and getting a bit sore, but still nothing wave-like. Just need to poo a lot and bump very tight to touch. Ho hum. Meanwhile one of the NCT lot has just texted to say she's having contractions so can't make it. Let's hope it's catching.
WG, hope the mw goes well. I don't think it's bad getting DIY done now. I was stripping paint 3 weeks ago, and we had new furniture last week. Better to do it now while you have time I think.
Bunny, hope you don't have to wait in for too long. Baking sounds good. Hubby made cake, bread and flapjacks at the weekend. He bakes, I eat. Works well!
Coco thanks for the positivity. I just wish these pains would be intermittent so I could time them or convince myself sting is happening. Otherwise I just have pointless pain, if you see what I mean? Sounds like you're getting early symptoms too though, which is a good thing. Hope things move for you soon x
Alipops, yay to proper symptoms. See, that's what I need, a proper definite sign. Hope you're not waiting too long now x
MrsL, it doesn't get any less scary! Especially when you're as clueless as I seem to have become! Glad you're getting some good wriggles, and I bet you're looking forward to the scan? We didn't have one, although at our 20 week scan they printed a few in 4d for us. Hubby didn't want a later one, and I wasn't too bothered either way, so we left it.
Right, if I can stop feeling like I need a poo (yes yes, TMI I know!) for long enough, I'm off into town with a book since the only definite for coffee was the girl who's gone into labour, but I fancy a walk around and a cuppa anyway, and can see if anyone else turns up.

Coco fingers crossed baby moving down is a sign of things to come!
Alipops hope that the midwife went well. Losing your plug is a good sign!
Mrs l that's lovely that baby is more wriggly. Yup babies appear here and apparently the stork doesn't bring them!
Bf hope you managed to get to have a little walk and to the coffee shop.
Come on babies! Lots of positive signs from everyone. Electrician turned up hour and half late, apparently he had text me last night to let me know but of course I hadn't received it. As long as they get the work done! Got my hospital bag stuff gathered in a pile in the spare room so I'm going to sort out the drawers in the nursery now.

Bunny - that's so annoying about the electrician turning up but I suppose at least he came eventually! Well done on the hospital bag, I've started mine but then realised I haven't yet washed any of baby's clothes so will need to do that before I can add those bits to it.
Coco - how are you feeling now?
Ali - hope your MW appointment went well, good news on the plug front! Not too long to wait now hopefully.
MrsL - 3rd tri is scary, isn't it? Hehe. Exciting about the 4d scan this weekend!
BF - did you end up with some company over coffee this morning? If not, I bet it was nice to chill out with a book for a bit.
I'm back from the MW. Once again I saw a different one as mine is on holiday but at least I finally got my MATB1 form and maternity exemption form! Oh and also I need iron tablets but no one bothered to ring me 3 weeks ago (I was told to assume results were fine if I didn't hear). I've now got to wait 48 hours before I can pick up the prescription! Hey ho. Baby is currently transverse as I suspected so I guess from my next appointment they'll be monitoring this a bit more closely.

Grr ended up staying in since everyone confirmed they couldn't make it today. Will pop cat to vet in a bit, then go swimming instead. Never mind.
12/08/2014 at 15:44
Ah that's a shame BF. Hope the visit to the vets goes ok, enjoy swimming.

Just popping back in before tea to let you know how I got on at the midwife.
Baby is 3/5 engaged, so well wedged down there now, she had a really good feel. The fact the plug had blood in it is encouraging because this often happens as cervix begins to shrink and thin, so she said. At the moment I have a bit of an ache in the lady bits, as if you're expecting your period really I guess. Midwife said I might pick up a few more symptoms in the next few days or it might go quiet. So, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.....
