I can't see a thread yet today?
Good morning everyone, hope you are all good today. I still have a foot in my ribs so not the best night's sleep ever, this child is not in a hurry to increase my comfort! My parents are coming up to visit today so we'll go somewhere nice for lunch and a wander, maybe towards the coast. Then I will get wobbly because the next time I see them I will probably have a baby! This is all a bit scary really.
Have a a good day everyone.

TT- Sounds like you have a lovely day planned. I know what you mean about thinking the next time you see them you'll have a baby. I keep thinking of things a few weeks/ months away and getting a little scared when it hits me! Hope you have a lovely day.
AFM- not much to report. Set thw pram and carrycot up last night. Had a little play with it walking around the house and felt very strange. Still feel like a child playing pretend! Haha im sure it will all become more real soon enough.

Sam I know what you mean I just feel like I am playing in the home corner at school!
LP I'm on day 2 too and it feels a bit weird but I'm enjoying being able to relax and not have a million things rushing through my brain. Can you arrange some meet ups with friends? Even if they work all day, I am much more inclined to do weekday evening social stuff now I know I don't have to be up the next day if I don't want to.

LP- I feel the same. H worked from home last week so he was around to keep me occupied, I was painting yesterday.. woke up today not having a clue how im going to fill my day! Daytime tv sends me loopy. Think I might get a book and do a bit of reading while I have the chance.

TT -have a lovely day with your parents and hopefully a walk will move that foot!
Sam - sounds fun setting the pram up x
LP - I have 1 more day at work tomorrow. I'm hoping to catch up on xfactor and strictly when on mat leave!
Afm - busy day today, have health visitor visiting this morning to introduce herself. Not sure what else she's coming for but said the appointment is an hour. Then have swimming lessons with I and the midwife at 4pm. Finishing my day off with yoga tonight!

I am so jealous of all this maternity leave talk, but imagine I will feel the same when I stop working!
Tina, have a lovely day with your parents.
Sam, hope you did the obligatory car noises as you pushed it round the house!
LP, have fun doing the lampshade and don't forget the pic when you are done.
Banzy, hope the appointments go well.
ATM, working from home as I gave midwife appointment today. This will the 4th different woman and hopefully the last!

Tina- that sounds like a lovely day! I was hoping to spend a couple of days with my mum as I have the week off but she has jetted off on a cruise!
Sam- i did that when our pram first arrived! Had to pack it away because i knew i would wear it out 'pretending' before the baby arrives!
LP- you need a project, why not start knitting?!!! :-)
Banzy- I bet yoga will be a nice way to finish off a busy day!
AFM- after a massive lie in and a really lazy day, i still fell asleep on the sofa last night! No plans today, probably another lazy TV day (i'll probably start to go a bit stir crazy by lunch time though) we have NCT tonight so at least I'll get out the house and interact with others! We only have a few classes left which is a bot daunting! Hope i will know everything I need to know by then!!

Morning all, I'll pop back on for personals later. TT, you're failing at the maternity leave thing after such a promising start - fancy being up before 9am! Have a good day out though.
I'm going to the gym this morning (!) Not as mad as it sounds, I've been referred for one of the 12 week freebie exercise programmes post-baby to help get my pelvis / core back on track as it's been dodgy since the car accident when I was 24 weeks pregnant. Just going to fill some paperwork in, then go to the job centre to hand over my maternity allowance paperwork.
Hopefully it'll then be an afternoon of creating a labour playlist and catching up on TV as I had a very busy, houseworky day yesterday and am shattered!

Mrs p - 4th different midwife, that's annoying. I've always seen the same one.
Mrs bass - have a good relax today and enjoy your Nct tonight x
Mrs 50s - enjoy your relaxing afternoon, I need to sort a playlist out too.
Health visitor has just left, she seemed nice enough. Just had a bit of a chat about preparations and how I'm feeling and post birth support. Time for some lunch now and then off to swimming x

Plasterer here but should be finished this affy. Hurrah. Been out walking in the woods this morning and tempted to go carpet shop this afternoon to oogle over the stripy stair carpets I really want!
Meant to say the other day - Mrs50s - have you seen the kids clothing that Joules do? Its stupidly expensive but soooo cute!!!
08/10/2013 at 14:29
Sam, I know what you mean about playing pretend! I saw my doula yesterday and as she left, she said 'The next time I see you, you'll be in labour' - OMG! I guess it's all really happening then!
LP, you get used to ML believe me! Cake dates during the day help pass the time...!
Banzy enjoy swimming and yoga. Sounds like a nice active day!
MrsP, how does the midwife thing work in your area? We have 1 attached to our GP surgery so if I wanted to, I could see only her all of the time, but it was more convenient for me to go to the community health centre where she is based most of the time (as she's only at the GP surgery once a fortnight) which has meant I've met 3 different MWs (out of a team of 5).
Mrs Bass, I'm now having a TV day and starting to get a bit bored! Enjoy NCT tonight.
HF, the walk in the woods sounds lovely; it's been another gorgeous sunny Autumn day here so far, mild too, so perfect for outdoor activities! I have seen the baby Joules stuff... fatal!! There is a big end of line / seconds type Joules sale at the Lincolnshire Showground a couple of times a year (which isn't too far from me) so I may go next time and see if I can find any bargains as it is gorgeous stuff but I can't bring myself to pay full price when they grow out of it so quickly!

Hi all, you sticking my head round the door to say hi. Terrible day so no personals from me but I'll join 'properly' tomorrow x
08/10/2013 at 16:13
MrsP- I havent seen my midwife since my booking in appt. They always call the week before my appt to say she is off sick and to rearrange my appt with another midwife. My last 2 appts have been with the same one so I don't know why they don't just make her my midwife!
Mrs 50s- sounds like u deserve a relaxing day, enjoy!

It should be the same one, but she was on holiday once, then she moved districts but hadn't got a permie replacement so I saw a lady who was covering. Just seen number 4 and she is lovely, I felt right at home with her despite being about 2 years older than her, but she had loads of piercings, really funny and was so switched on compared to the first one.
08/10/2013 at 17:10
MDD - hope you're okay lovely.
MrsP, hope number 4 is the one you get to stick with now!
