Morning all. How was everyone's bank holidays? Mine was really nice, the weather stayed good on the whole, we had a nice family BBQ in sat, round at my parent's on Sun, and took J to a farm park yesterday which he enjoyed lots. Since Friday afternoon I've been struggling a lot with walking, I'm getting shooting pains down one side into my bum with every step, so that's not great obviously, I'm hoping it will resolve itself soon, or if not that I have the baby a bit early! Today I've got J at home with me so we're going to a toddler group this morning, not sure about this afternoon yet. Tomorrow he's hopefully back at nursery and operation get baby clothes down from the loft and do some washing will start in earnest!
Hope work's not too bad for those of you going back after a long weekend.

SG I hope the pain eases for you, could it be that baby has dropped down a bit? Or is just resting on a nerve somewhere? Your weekend sounds like it was lovely, glad you all had a good one.
Back to work! It's not so bad though as I've only got 18 days left! Whoop! This weekend was lovely and we had a nice mix of doing stuff around the house and seeing friends. It was pretty much sunny all weekend too. Yay!

Imp, woo to only 18 days left. How many weeks does that equate to? Glad you had a nice bank holiday weekend too, it's so nice to have more than 2 days off at once sometimes, you feel that much more chilled afterwards.
06/05/2014 at 08:10
It's spread over 5 weeks, I've got 3 weeks with 4 days and then 2 weeks with just 3 days! Whoop!

Hello, is there room for a (not so) little one? I think I am now 3rd tri... How scary!!
SG your weekend sounded fab. I love a good bbq. The pain doesn't sound pleasant though. Does it happy every time you walk?
Imp - only 18 days?? Wow that's going to come round quick. I've counted mine and I've got 10 weeks which sounds like aaaaages yet.
AFM - busy weekend as I worked fri and sat night, went out with friends on sun and then did naff all yesterday. Very tired today as some maniac kept ringin our flat buzzer at 2 in the morning to speak to "Josh". Must've been drunk as I kept telling him there was no Josh in my flat. Ended up getting mega angry and threatening to call the police. Cannot wait to move now!!!

I'm sorry for being such a rubbish MDer, I will be better!
SG, glad you had such a lovely bank holiday, I'm jealous of your BBQ! Hope your pains ease soon.
Imp, Happy Pineapple Day! Woohoo to only having 18 days left! That is so exciting :)
AFM, house move is progressing nicely, mortgage company said yes on Friday and today we're sending stuff over to the solicitor and paying their hefty deposit (sob). So it's all systems go!
We had a 4D scan on Saturday and it was lovely to see baby again. She looks like a proper baby now, I'm completely mesmerised by the scan photos and DVD :)

Hi Jonesy, welcome to 3rd tri! How rubbish that someone kept ringing your flat at 2am! I'd have gone spare. Hope it was just a one off. When do you move?
06/05/2014 at 09:57
Morning all, sorry I have been absent for a little while, work and home life seem to have got in the way! Hope I haven't missed too much!
SG - Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! Maybe baby has wiggled onto a nerve, hopefully they wiggle off again soon!
Imp - Glad you had a good weekend and you are so close to finishing work! 21 working days left for me! Finishing on the 4th June :)
Jonesy - Welcome to 3rd tri! Hope you move away from the drunken buzzer pressers soon!
Fig - Lovely 4D scan! Hope the house move all goes smoothly for you!
AFM - Had a pretty good weekend, celebrated my sisters birthday with her and my Mum on the Saturday and went for a lovely Italian meal. On the Sunday we went to our friends little girls christening and got to catch up with friends we don't see very often. We were also asked to be god parents for some friends lovely little boy which is very exciting! Yesterday we had a lovely day together, we went into town and had some lunch, went and bought a little boy and girl going home outfit as everything we have is very neutral! We also went to Build A Bear and made baby their first teddy and made a good start on my hospital bag.
I had a small bleed over the weekend and went to be checked on Sunday night, as I thought was nothing to worry about and was just my cervical ectropion playing up. They gave me a full check over and monitored and bump measured baby. They are still worried that baby is a little on the small side so they have booked me in for another growth scan this afternoon. I am really not worried though, think baby is just going to be a littley, I was only 5lb 6 at full term so wasn't ever expecting to have a massive baby!
I cannot fault the maternity care I have received though, any time I have had any worries I have been seen right away and reassured that I have been doing the right thing in getting checked. If they want to monitor and scan baby on a weekly basis I really don't mind, just feel fortunate that they are keeping an eye on things! Fingers crossed at the scan today we find out they have turned from being breech!

SG, we had a lovely bank holiday weekend with great weather, if a little cool at times. Have you been overdoing anything? Or could baby just be in an awkward position causing the pains? Hopefully a bit of stretching and resting will see you to rights, but you're only a few days away from term! Was J early?
Imp, lovely to have shorter weeks for the remainder, it'll go by quickly!
Hiya Jonesy, welcome to 3rd tri, it's not that scary, I swear! At least there a couple weeks before e next in the baby queue ;). How annoying about the drunk guy buzzing your flat, but at least it doesn't seem likely to happen again.
Fig, exciting news on the house front. Is there anything you're going to need to do once you move in and unpack, or is it pretty much good to go?
Vix, I think we've all been a little quite lately, but we're getting more graduates from 2nd tri, so hopefully that'll mean a more active thread. It's nice that your care has been great. Mine has been good, too, but I think we so often hear horror stories and complaints that we expect the majority of women to receive sub-par care. I hope e growth scan goes well and your diddy little baby is happy in there!
AFM, I'll be volunteering this afternoon, but otherwise just kicking around the house, it looks like it's going to rain, so I'd better get Wispa out for a walk in a minute. The cold I thought was brewing last week finally hit over the weekend and I have to call in sick on Sunday for work. I've never called in sick to the museum, so I don't feel too bad about it, and I could barely speak, so it's not like I'd have been a great help anyways. Feeling better, but still hoarse, so resting my voice as much as poss. Oh, I don't think I mentioned about my MW appt on Friday, but when she measured the fundal height I was measuring 1cm behind dates, when I've been spot on or ahead of dates at every other check. The
MW was so blasé about it, though, as apparently it entirely depends on how baby is lying in there and Holly Jolly has gone from being vertical to slightly diagonal in the past week. Not good, baby, not good. So, I managed to get the exercise ball blown up and have been bouncing away for a couple days to encourage her into a better position!!

Welcome to 3rd tri Jonesy- good to see you here! Boo to the drunken idiot ringing your buzzer in the middle of the night, I would have been livid.
Fig where have you been, naughty md'er! ;) Lovely picture of mini fig, look at her gorgeous little face!
Vix it sounds as you've been busy, sorry you had another bleed but I'm glad all is ok. Also yay for another peek at baby!
I finish on the 4th of June too, I can't wait!
06/05/2014 at 11:12
Fig - that is a great scan photo! I bet you can't wait for her to get here now. Good news on the house front! Have you got an approximate move date? We are waiting for the bank to come back now the survey's been done so hopefully we will be catching you up soon. It's no chain so could be quite quick.
Vix - sounds like a lovely weekend apart from the bleed but I'm glad it's nothing serious. Hope the scan goes well and they've moved position for you!
Wispa - sorry about the cold. Lots of rest! Hopefully the fresh air will do you some good too. Fingers crossed the bouncing pays off and holly jolly gets into a better position soon. Naughty baby.
Imp - 4th June! So soon!!
06/05/2014 at 11:23
I know Imp, I've been rubbish. *Hangs head in shame* I will be better lol
Wispa, hope you're feeling better now and that you're over the worst of your cold. Sending wriggle vibes to Holly Jolly! We might need to replace the boiler when we first move in but other that it will just be general cosmetic work as and when we get round to it.
Vix, sorry you've had a bleed but very glad to hear that all is okay. Lovely that you're getting another peek of baby today and I'm glad they're looking after you so well. Fingers crossed baby has had a little wriggle and is no longer breech.
Jonesy, we're no chain too so we're hoping to have moved before baby puts in an appearance. We're aiming to exchange by the end of May and hopefully complete a week later. Did your survey come back okay? Fingers crossed that you hear good news from the bank soon!
06/05/2014 at 12:14
Yeah the survey came back as satisfactory so just need them to confirm all is ok and the we can get going! Everything crossed you get in asap!
