Morning ladies! How are we all today?
I'm lying in bed with breast pain and heartburn and don't want to get up for work! I suppose symptoms are a positive though!
Told my boss yesterday as its likely I'll need extra time off. To my surprise she was thrilled. Thought she may be a bit off about it but she's really happy for me.

FM- so pleased your boss was positive. Im scared to tell mine next week, especially as another team member announced their pregnancy 2 weeks ago (due 3 weeks before me), and all the bosses are already panicking about the cover.
I am sitting on the sofa already exhausted and trying to get the energy to get ready for work-got to love symptoms! I was a bit late to forums but I wrote something about private scans for you yest.

Furmummy - Glad your boss is happy for you! I always find symptoms reasuring!
Rio - Oh dear about your boss I am sure your be fine! Hope you managed to get some energy!
Afm not much to report feeling sick this morning woohoo! Lots of crampsbut think thats bowel related lovely! Will have my fibre this morning lol yay midwife appointment tomorrow!

Furmummy - I don't think I've been on since you made your announcement, so a very belated congratulations. Great news about your boss being positive about it.
Rio - I'm sure you'll be fine. It's them that will have to deal with it and that's part of their job. Hope you've got some energy.
CC - hope the fibre helps you out. I don't know who told me this - or whether I dreamt it up last time, but I'm sure I heard something that it takes a bit longer to digest food as baby is taking out what it needs.
AFM - I'm feeling tons better and to top it off, I've not had a gallstone attack for 2-3 days! Yay! I decided to totally cut out bread to check if it was the 1 slice I'd had, so I think that may have been it or which I think is likely being the nausea has calmed so much my hormones are finally settling down. 2 weeks until scan so just on count down to that. 10+4

Sapphire - Yes your right the baby does take all it needs and leaves you with the rest... lovely lol! Just had my first bowl was yummy (Sarcasm) lol
Glad you haven't had any, ore attacks! Hope the next 2weeks flies by.

FM - great that your boss was so happy for you. Just read yesterday's thread, quite often Groupon have deals on scans (I think with baby bond but I'm
Rio - hope you found the energy to get to work and feel a bit better!
CC - I've been having similar problems to you, had a load of fruit this morning to see if that helps!
S - glad to hear you haven't had an attack for a few days, hopefully cutting out bread will help.
AFM - 11 weeks today, a week until scan day. Not much else going on really, I've been so tired the past 2 nights, been asleep by 9 which isn't like me at all. I thought I had escaped most of the 1st tri tiredness this time but seems it's catching up on me now!
10/06/2014 at 12:53
Glad your boss was nice about it FM. I had a private early scan, it was £45 and worth every penny.
I'm sure your boss will be fine Rio. A little shocked perhaps, but fine all the same.
Yay to midwife tomorrow CC, time is flying by!
Glad that cutting out bread has helped Sapphire, hope they don't give you any more trouble.
Story of my life DD, all I do is sleep! Are you at SGH for your nuchal scan? I'm sure you mentioned but I can't remember.
AFM - 12 weeks today and I have decided to skip uni and stay in bed...first day off sick so far in pregnancy so I reckon I've managed well. Despite feeling nauseous most days I'm happy that I haven't actually been sick at all, so hopefully I've dodged it. Crazy to think that I only have ten days of 1st tri left, everyone says it drags it but it's really flown for me. Just going to have a lazy day I think, and try to eat something healthy for dinner. My lack of balanced diet is really getting me down, I'm determined to eat healthy for the baby, but all I ever seem to want is beige food
Hi to all who follow
10/06/2014 at 13:46
Hi Saff - yes SGH for my scan and thankfully all my MW appointments from now on will be at my local clinic, my booking in was elsewhere. You're a week ahead of me, so I'd your scan this week? I know what you mean about eating healthily, I've had a load of fruit this morning but I seem to be wanting every different kind of takeaway come dinner time!
10/06/2014 at 14:15
I can't stomach fruit at all at the moment My nuchal was due to be today but I've pushed it back as H is away for work all this week.
10/06/2014 at 16:53
DD - Hope the week goes fast for you! And fruit hopefully helps you!
Saffron - Dont blame you for skipping uni lol. Hope you manage to eat something healthy itsso hard in the 1st tri so dont beat yourself up over it!
Afm Feeling much better managed to go yay! Will keep up my extra fibre though! Sickness has been preaent all day which is lovely (Sarcasm) lol!

Furmummy- great to hear your boss was so supportive, that's important!
Rio- try not to worry, these things happen! It's not your responsibility to find cover so please don't stress about it!
CC- fingers crossed for giant (but non painful) jobbies!
Sapphire- good to hear that you're doing a bit better! Fingers crossed it continues!
DD- yay for only one more week till your scan!
Saff- hope you feel better. Just eat what you can!
DD and Saffron- SGH as in Glasgow? What's where I am too! When did yous have your booking in? I was told 12 weeks but that seems forever to wait!
JJ- aww sorry you're still not feeling any better. Fingers crossed for this next lot of meds! So exciting that you're nearly at 12 weeks.
AFM, not much to report. Still the same symptoms as before, was sick a tiny bit this morning but not really enough to count. Was more a boke gone too far, haha! Going to test again in the morning (need to use up the tests)! Early scan next week, counting down the days!
10/06/2014 at 19:24
Saff - just eat what you can to get through until you start to feel like eating normally again. The baby will take everything it needs from you anyway. It's really common at this stage to want to eat stodgy stuff!
CC - glad you managed to go (ha ha)
JJ - hope the new meds help. And that you manage to see your friend tomorrow.
MG - yes Sgh in Glasgow! I wondered with your name and a couple of things you said if you were from here too! My booking in was last wk (10 wks) and scan next week. In my previous pregnancies though I've had scan and booking in on same day at around 12 weeks so it may still vary from area to area.
10/06/2014 at 20:40
Rio - i noticed your post thank you. Hope you're day at work wasn't too bad!
Saffron - hope you're feeling better.
CC - sorry you're feeling sickly!
MacGirl - another sick lady (((hugs))) when's you scan?
Debbbydoo - not long left for you on the first Tri
JJ - hope the new medication works for you.
Sapphire - nearly the 2nd Tri for you as well!
Afm - my tummy is massive, my clothes hurt to wear, I have chronic heartburn, feel nauseous and I'm only around 5 weeks. I already look 4/5 months pregnant. Please tell me it goes down?
10/06/2014 at 21:17
Seriously picked up some maternity jeans in the sale today and could actually wear them now. Seriously have no idea what I'm going to wear to work : (
Shouldn't complain - a much longed for LO but I wasn't expecting to get a massive belly overnight!
10/06/2014 at 21:52
I seem to have doubled in size today! I was already bloated etc, but got some new maternity clothes today and while trying them on I could definitely have passed for 5-6 months! It probably hadn't helped that we'd just had dinner out beforehand!
