So I'm 8 weeks 6 days, I can find baby's heart beat straight away just above my pubic bone with a doppler, I don't even have to look for it! midwife listened to a clip I recorded and has confirmed I'm hearing baby, and when I asked 'isn't it a bit early' she didn't seem fazed and just said well done!
today I was sure I could hear a second heartbeat just a couple if second different and even sounded slightly different!
i found out a week before I was due my period that I'm pregnant and now I'm starting to wonder if its twins!
baby should be tucked behind my pubic bone and I should have to angle the Doppler to find the heart beat.... It's flat on my belly and can hear it loud and clear! Help!!

Oooh, that sounds exciting, supersquish!
I'm no expert on Doppler readings, so I'm about as much help on this as a chocolate teapot but hopefully someone else will be along in a mo with some more helpful advice.
In the meantime, huge congrats (again) and how lovely that you can hear heartbeat(s) now!

Hi, don't know if I can help much but I used a Doppler with my last baby and picked her heart beat up slightly above my pubic bone at 9 weeks, my midwife didn't condone me using a Doppler as she said that as we have many arteries and also pulse points in our abdomen you can't be sure what you are hearing and if for whatever reason you couldn't find a heartbeat it would undoubtedly cause unnecessary stress and worry to you.
So I used it to baby spot and only for my own entertainment, but I did get good at finding the right place to hear it especially time went on.
So, you could be hearing two beats but one could be your own xx relax and wait for your scan.
